Amazon pulled a bestseller on transgender issues from its online store on Sunday without explanation. Author Ryan T. Anderson tweeted on Sunday that his book, When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment, had been removed. At the time of writing, the book was not available on Amazon either in physical form, as an e-book, or as an audiobook, although Anderson’s four other books remain up. Amazon’s crackdown on conservative content mirrors a trend many on the right see in other major tech companies. Criticism of big tech has spiked since Facebook and Twitter removed President Donald Trump following...

Would-be defector Wang Liqiang seemed to confirm Australia’s worst fears of Chinese infiltration. The fresh-faced, bespectacled 27-year-old, dubbed the “first Chinese operative to ever blow his cover”, recounted alarming tales of espionage and political sabotage in Australia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Wang recalled meeting with the head of a spy ring operating freely down under, coordinating a “cyber army” to manipulate public opinion during elections in Taiwan, working with a front company charged with infiltrating Hong Kong universities and media, and ordering the kidnapping of one of the five Hong Kong booksellers known to sell titles critical of the leadership...

Mark Levin says that he’s not sure of a significant issue where Sarah Palin is wrong. He says she’s a strong conservative that doesn’t deserve the attacks she is getting from Krauthammer, Rove, or George Will. Moreover he also finds Bachmann and Cain to be very good conservative candidates, undeserving of the negative attention they are getting from establishment folks. In light of their recent attacks, Levin hits Krauthammer and Will for missing the Reagan revolution by supporting the opposing candidates. They didn’t believe Reagan could win and yet he won by landslides. Great monologue. Enjoy!

Abebooks.com is a web site where used booksellers list their books for resale on the Web. They are located in Canada but have a huge USA bookseller and customer base. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, they thought it would be swell to have a contest where booksellers would pass out special bookmarks in their orders and at local libraries and community centers featuring an slam on President Bush (see below). You might care to suggest to them that their efforts are shall we say, misdirected via the links at http://www.abebooks.com/docs/CompanyInformation/contact.shtml . Here's a rich irony: I'm writing today about a new children's book, but I can't describe the plot in a family newspaper without warning you first that it is entirely inappropriate for children. The book is "Rainbow Party," by juvenile fiction author Paul Ruditis. The publisher is Simon Pulse, a kiddie lit division of the esteemed Simon & Schuster. The cover of the book features the title spelled out in fun, Crayola-bright font. Beneath the title is an illustrated array of lipsticks in bold colors. The main characters in the book are high school sophomores -- supposedly typical 14- and...

Are you having difficulty finding Unfit for Command locally, for reasons other than the publisher didn't print enough copies? The thread linked above has numerous examples of book store employees standing in the consumer's way when they try to find this book. Perhaps if FReepers list their experiences in one place we can see where the bottlenecks are (they seem to be scattered) and take action as appropriate to help the liberals now suppressing sales to see the error of their ways. mystery1 wrote on the above-linked thread: I live in San Diego and just called 2 Borders stores. I...
