Anti-Israel activists at the University of Pennsylvania vandalized the Benjamin Franklin statue on campus to protest against the school’s connections to the Jewish state. The group Up Against the Occupation, or (u)PAO, posted pictures to Instagram on Thursday showing a statue of the American Founder doused in red paint. The group called the statue “a symbol of imperial violence and colonialism.” The organization wrote that an “autonomous group” had “poured red paint over the statue” as a “visual reminder of the over 186,000 martyrs and the university’s complicity in genocide.” The group wrote: “Penn, your hands are red,” and condemned...

As back-to-school season nears, students and faculty are preparing to return to campus — and to protests. Pro-Palestinian protesters who wreaked havoc on Columbia University’s campus in the spring have already declared they “will be back.” The fall semester begins Sept. 3. So what is Columbia doing about it? The big picture is unclear. But their initial strategy seems pretty thin. In a July 24 email to students, faculty, and staff, university president Minouche Shafik said her team is “working hard” on fostering community, clarifying rules and defining discrimination in anticipation of the fall semester. “We truly flourish when we...

While Americans spent Thursday celebrating the birth of our great nation, pro-Hamas mobs gathered in Dem cities to show how much they hate us and everything we stand for. In cities like Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and New York, pro-Hamas protestors burned American flags, set off smoke bombs to block people from enjoying the fireworks, and, in at least one case, allegedly physically assaulted a young man wearing the American flag as a cape.

A cadre of pro-Palestinian protesters disrupted July 4th fireworks in New York City as they paraded through the streets while burning American flags and chanting anti-Israel rhetoric. Video of the march went live on Thursday, sparking ongoing concerns about the sudden rise in anti-Jewish sentiments that have erupted over the past year. Pro-Palestinian activists took credit for a felony arson attack outside of UC Berkeley’s Koshland Hall on Thursday. Details about the fire were scarce on Friday. But it is at least the second case of arson at Cal that pro-Palestinian activists have claimed responsibility for this month. A UC Berkeley police vehicle was set on fire on June 1. On Thursday morning, an anonymous “student intifada” post took credit for the latest incident. “UCLA students were attacked last night so we retaliated with a firebomb on UCB campus,” the post said. “We unloaded a firebomb on the side of a campus...

Protestors marched from Union Square to the site of the Nova Music Festival Exhibition in downtown Manhattan. Video from the protest...

A masked maniac tried to disrupt Sunday’s Israel Day Parade, taunting marchers and supports with a vile sign reading, “Kill Hostages Now.” The protester, wearing a black mask, black shirt and wearing a Palestinian flag as a cape, was part of a group of anti-Israel demonstrators who faced off with pro-Israeli New Yorkers near the parade route. This year’s Israel Day Parade in New York features numerous family members of hostages who were kidnapped by Hamas and taken to Gaza on Oct. 7.

Twelve Columbia University students who were suspended over an anti-Israel event on campus last month had their punishments lifted shortly after, their lawyer claimed — as the school continues to weather backlash over its handling of protesters on and near the Morningside Heights campus. About 16 students were initially suspended for failing to provide information about “a host of student activities,” including an “unauthorized” teach-in on the history of Palestinian resistance on March 24, Stanley Cohen told the Village Sun. The university suspected that the March 24 teach-in titled “Resistance 101” spotlighted a member of the Popular Front for the...

John Carter (R-TX) says anti-Israel protesters “vandalized” one of his offices in Texas and vowed to find the “parties responsible.” Carter posted a photo on X on Monday, showing red paint splattered across his office door with the words “Free Gaza” written in what appeared to be red graffiti on the sidewalk in front of the office. “Unhinged anti-Israel activists vandalized my Georgetown office. Let me make 2 things clear, my support for Israel is unwavering & your intimidation won’t work,” Carter wrote. “Secondly, the parties responsible will be found & will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of...
