HOUSTON, Texas — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced this week that nearly 3,600 criminal illegal aliens were arrested in Houston during the six-week Democrat-led government shutdown. Department of Homeland Security officials said the arrests targeted the “worst of the worst,” including convicted pedophiles, MS-13 gang members, kidnappers, and repeat offenders previously deported multiple times. Breitbart Texas rode with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) during the government shutdown and with ICE Houston during its first-ever nighttime enforcement action. During four hours, before getting rained out, ERO officers arrested approximately 40 illegal aliens, including at least two drunk drivers.

A 24-year-old Venezuelan migrant was arrested for pretending to be a minor to enroll in an Ohio high school. The Venezuelan man claimed to be a trafficked teenager and enrolled in the school in January 2024. Perrysburg, Ohio, police officers arrested 24-year-old Anthony Labrador on May 19 during a traffic stop after learning of his alleged fraudulent school enrollment. The Venezuelan migrant was illegally present in the United States after his visa expired in 2023. EDINGURG, Texas — Texas Governor Greg Abbott endorsed former President Donald Trump in his race to become Republican nominee for President of the United States. “You need new president,” Abbott said to the mayors of New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. on Sunday. “Joe Biden has failed at national security. We need a president that will secure the border.”

Mexican authorities found the body of an Angolan migrant child who went missing on May 2 during an illegal border crossing near the Del Rio International Bridge. The young boy disappeared after being swept away along with his brother. The parents survived the crossing. Del Rio Station Border Patrol agents encountered an Angolan couple who illegally crossed the border from Mexico into Texas. The husband and wife informed the agents that their two boys, ages seven and nine, were swept away in the strong currents of the Rio Grande, according to information obtained from Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials.

The Texas Military Department and Department of Public Safety officials issued a warning to law enforcement officers and soldiers working along the state’s border with Mexico. The warnings of possible retaliation from members of the Gulf Cartel follow the arrest in recent days of a key leader. In the last few days I read, with interest, two items running on highly respected, national conservative blogs. First, Brandon Darby and Bob Price reported on Breitbart.com on the failed lawsuit of Joe Pool, Jr., against conservative incumbent Texas Supreme Court Justice Jeff Brown.
