I've often written about how real estate prices have affected members of my own family. Of our four kids, two live in Colorado and can only afford to live in a nice, peaceful town well outside the troubled Denver area because they combine not two but three incomes. Our other two live in deep-red Iowa, in the same small town, where they are easily able to afford nice homes. They have a lot of company. Realtor.com has just released its latest Affordability and Homebuilding report cards, and I should note that, while Colorado comes in at #27 with a grade...

Minnesota Democrats killed an amendment to a crime and public safety bill that would require law enforcement agencies to report illegal aliens to ICE when they are arrested for a violent crime, ignoring the pleas of a man whose mother was brutally murdered and beheaded by an illegal alien. Charles Thayer, the son of America Thayer, testified in favor of the amendment last month in the State House. He told lawmakers the harrowing story of how his mother was abused, nearly lit on fire, and ultimately beheaded in Shakopee, Minnesota by a violent illegal alien, who had prior felony arrests...

Democrats are embracing the f-bomb in congressional campaign messaging as they seek to tap into their party’s anger. In recent weeks, a number of newly launched Democratic hopefuls for key House and Senate seats have pledged to “unf‑‑‑ our country” or have urged their party to “drop the excuses and grow a f‑‑‑ing spine.” The ads are indicative of the rising temperature in American politics generally, but they also underscore the ways politicians are trying to resonate with base voters, many of whom have expressed frustration with Democratic leaders. “I think that in the case of the Democratic candidates …...

President Trump on Sunday called for the person or persons who operated Joe Biden’s autopen to be jailed. “Hopefully ACTBLUE, the Democrats ILLEGAL SCAM used to raise money, including from not allowed “foreign contributions,” is being looked at by authorities. The Dems only know how to win by CHEATING, something which they do better than any group or party in history. But now, with their terrible policies and candidates, and with people like Crooked Adam Schiff, who demanded a full Pardon from Sleepy Joe, leading the way, it is almost impossible to reach their money goals. The USA is wise...

VIDEOBOGO Obama which consists of Senator Spartacus aka Corey Booker and Dollar Store Obama aka Hakeem Jeffries got together and decided to put on a performance art sit-in on the Capitol Steps. This is strange since this was conducted OUTDOORS plus there was NO threat of arrest. The fake "sit-in" went on for hours and hours chock full of excruciatingly BORING speeches much of which was about them pretending to revere the Constitution which many/most of their liberal friends have written off as being a fascist relic of the past which must be discarded. Finally, Senator Spartacus got sick and...

The funeral and burial of late Pope Francis brought together heads of state and dignitaries from all over the world. And it ended up being an opportunity for Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to get 15 minutes of face-to-face time with US President Donald J. Trump. The meeting took place inside the Holy at Saint Peter’s Basilica, and was catapulted to nearly every paper and magazine cover in the world. But when Trump arrived, there were three chairs for the conversation. Papers around the world had their lip readers try to guess what happened in this highly unusual exchange, revealing Trump’s...

Bhavik Lathia, former digital director for the Wisconsin Democratic Party, complains that "there is an extreme imbalance in strategy that allows Republicans to say and do stuff--like cutting government waste, deporting criminal aliens, and cutting taxes--that really grabs voters' attention. Meanwhile, we're stuck on the opposite side of these issues. We need a strategic shift in Democratic messaging. That shift is 'dark woke.'" Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett agreed saying "we need a crass and rude attitude that will show voters that we're ready to fight for the soul of America. With this in mind, I'm calling out Rep. Marjorie Taylor...

Monday’s Canadian federal election is likely to determine the economic future of the country for years to come. Someone should inform the Conservatives and the New Democratic party (NDP). On 6 January this year, Justin Trudeau announced his resignation as prime minister and leader of the Liberal party, which had been in power since 2015. His resignation came amid plummeting support: the Liberals hadn’t formed a majority government since 2019 and on the day Trudeau resigned, the party netted its lowest approval rating at 20%. After a truncated leadership race, Mark Carney became Canada’s prime minister and leader of the...

snip... The dashboard let out a debilitating shriek, as we drive away from the airport. The driver explained that the shriek is emitted by “the system” when he drives out of the “sector” of the airport. ...as we slowed to a stop before a red light, that “the system” fines him automatically if he does not stop - if he dares to drive through on a yellow light. He also explained that it records us “for safety.” He seemed to catch himself as I was asking if all of this surveillance was intrusive. He had started to agree but then,...

“This is not normal.” Those words from Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., are undeniably true after the arrest of Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan. However, the reason it is not normal is far more debatable. Dugan is accused of becoming a lawbreaker in seeking to obstruct an effort to arrest a man wanted by federal authorities. If true, that is manifestly not “normal.”As soon as the news of the arrest was reported, Democrats declared another constitutional crisis. Klobuchar added that the arrest “is a drastic move threatening the rule of law” and a “grave step and undermines our system of checks and...

Albertsons, America's second-largest grocery chain, is reportedly informing suppliers that will be affected by the new Trump administration tariffs that it's not the company's problem, according to a recent letter:Albertsons, which owns 2,200 grocery stores across the U.S., sent a letter to suppliers in late March spelling out how it would deal with price hikes. “With few exceptions, we are not accepting cost increases due to tariffs,” the letter read (emphasis in the original). The letter laid out the grocer's reason for the policy was "maintaining the value propositions our customers expect.” In other words, to keep grocery prices low...
