I could write an entire post about Obama and that whack job white dude who offended Hillary and every decent American on the planet with his racist rant on the pulpit of Obama's church. But I am not one of those who thinks that Obama should be judged too much by his associations. Certainly this freak isn't attached to him in any way that bothers me. Obama had nothing to do with that and as we've seen, he's not going to do much about it. I don't know that he should...that's an argument for another day. What really offends me...

What is Wrong with Bouchard-Taylor Report The 3.7 m. dollar Bouchard-Taylor report that was commissioned to recommend \"reasonable accommodations\" of ethnic and religious minorities in Quebec is finally released. However, it raises more questions that it answers. This intellectual duo*, who spent months preparing the 310 page report, wants to place more emphasis on integration and less on individuation that would eventually lead to segregation and alienation. That is a noble thought. The problem is that right after talking about the importance of integration they propose “dissemination of pluralism.” Aren’t integration and pluralism two opposing concepts? In politics we need...

As I sit here behind this laptop, I now realize that this definitely wasn’t the brightest idea I have ever had. I was going to rope a deer, put it in a stall, feed it up on corn for a couple of weeks, then kill it and eat it. The first step in this adventure was getting a deer. I figured that, since they congregate at my cattle feeder and do not seem to have much fear of me when we are there (a bold one will sometimes come right up and sniff at the bags of feed while I...

How can any logical person think this is a good idea? Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, a Democrat, signed Senate Bill 200, which essentially let’s any man who says he’s really a woman, use the women’s facilities in public places. By facilities, I mean the restroom and locker room: The bill initially outlines requirements for the Colorado Civil Rights Commission and also bans discrimination based on sexual orientation for things like housing, car insurance, funeral services and public accommodation. The bill also extends bans on discrimination, where previously unwritten, for things like race, creed, color, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, marital...

I am asking for prayers from all freepers who would like to pray for me. I am going in for major surgery on Monday. I am told my recovery time will be 4 - 6 weeks if all goes well, or 6 - 9 weeks if things don't go so well. I trust the Lord, however I am still scared. “Lord I believe, help my unbelief” seems to be a pretty constant prayer on my part. I’m asking for prayer for the doctors, nurses, and all personal that are part of the operation, for a speedy recovery with minimal pain,...

The announcement that Senator Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) has a malignant brain tumor has raised the issue of who will inherit his seat. The assumption has been that under Massachusetts law, the sear would pass to his eldest son. However, experts in that state’s statutes said the succession is not so “cut-and-dried.” “The commoners of Massachusetts anticipate that Edward Kennedy Jr. would inherit the seat,” said family spokesman, Lowell McGuff. “Actually, the law gives Senator Kennedy the right to name his successor.” Those familiar with the Senator’s will, say that the document bestows his seat to his wife, Vicki. The bequest,...

McCain’s lobbyist purge: All the foreign agents but one? By Michelle Malkin • May 19, 2008 01:32 PM Five McCain campaign staffers and volunteers have now been shown the door over their lobbying activities and/or status as foreign agents. WaPo reports on the latest: Tom Loeffler, the national finance co-chairman for Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign, resigned yesterday because of his lobbying ties, a campaign adviser said. This StoryHe is the fifth person to sever ties with the campaign amid a growing concern over whether lobbyists have too great an influence over the Republican nominee. Last week, campaign manager Rick Davis issued...

One of the oddest stories I have come across about Obama, found on page 160 of David Mendell's Obama: From Promise to Power: But what truly struck [Jeremiah] Wright from that [September 2002] meeting was Obama's astonishment over the [Congressional] black caucus event in Washington. It opened Wright's eyes once again to just how innocent and idealistic Obama could be about the world of politics. The conference was nothing like what Obama had envisoned, but it was exactly the way Wright, a former adviser to Chicago's only black mayor, Harold Washington, recalled it. "He had gone down there to get...

A lot has been written and said about what one might expect in a Barack Obama presidency. It’s not that difficult. To see an Obama presidency one need look no farther that the administration of Deval Patrick, Governor of Massachusetts. Patrick rode into office on the crest of a huge wave created and sustained by Massachusetts Liberals, beating his competent but dull Republican rival, Lt. Governor Healy, by more than 2-1. His only previous experience was as an extortionist who made huge bucks suing large corporations for alleged racial crimes, and as Bill Clinton’s Assistant Attorney General for Racial Quotas...

Obama a "Snow Job" in More Ways than One It seems that, at the same age (early 20s) at which the next President of the United States was at the U.S. Naval Academy and learning to fly high-performance jet aircraft, the Democrats’ likely nominee was thoroughly “snowed.” I blew a few smoke rings, remembering those years. Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though… Barack Obama, Dreams From My Father, page 93 http://www.whitehousedrugpolicy.gov/streetterms/ByAlpha.asp?strTerm=B, “Blow” = “Cocaine; to inhale cocaine; to smoke marijuana; to inject heroin. “Not smack” rules out the latter,...

As you can see, we have made some changes here at Electoral Projection! One of our commenters suggested the other day that it might be more accurate in capturing recent trends if we based the projection on a shorter time frame than a 50-Day Average of Polls, especially once the Fall Campaign begins. As I thought about it, I decided it would be interesting to see the difference between a 50-Day Average and a 15-Day Average. So, beginning today and continuing through Election Day, we will show Electoral Projection Maps and Charts for BOTH a 50-Day Average of Polls and...

French explorer and adventurer Xavier Rosset is about to embark on a 300 day trip to live alone on a remote tropical island in the South Pacific. His adventures will be filmed and used for a 52 minute documentary. Xavier’s only luggage will be a Swiss army knife, machete video camera and a solar panel for charging the camera. He will spend 10 months alone on an island to develop another way of life through an exciting adventure, a return to the elemental sources. Xavier will survive alone on an island without human interference and without polluting emissions. The ambition...

New age philosophy! False gods! Violence on the walls! Slaves in the cotton fields! Scandalous, I tell you. “When she showed it to me, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ †said Hansell, who added that the mural presents a new age idea of peace and unity that could be confusing to Christian students. Hansell said she’d also like a more positive image of African Americans. “It doesn’t even represent even a fingernail of the faith here in Bastrop County and what (residents) believe.â€Among the images on the mural are an Aztec sun, ancient Egypt’s King Tutankhamen, Buddha and Shiva,...

“From Baptism to Burial--and Beyond” (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-5)Today we began the service with the Invocation and a Remembrance of Baptism. Why did we do that? What does that have to do with a funeral service? What comfort does that give to us, Millie’s family and friends, to hear those words about baptism? Lots, actually. May these words give you great comfort now, as we go “From Baptism to Burial--and Beyond.” We began with the Invocation, “In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” That’s appropriate, for those are the words--that is the...

I started this post yesterday morning after running across an article about Michelle Obama’s fundraiser Wednesday in Pasadena. After starting the article, I thought “old news” and decided to move onto another subject. Anyways, things have changed… Michelle Obama attended a private $500 a plate fundraiser on Wednesday in Pasadena. The fundraiser expected to over $200,000 for the Obama campaign was not open to the press. Pasadena Councilman Victor Gordo, listed as a host for the event, spoke to Pasadena-Star News Reporter, Janette Williams after the event. Gordo Commented, “she did suggest that should Barack Obama be in the general...

Nancy Pelosi(D-San Francisco) is the third in line for the Presidency. How is it that she gets away with such nonsense as crediting the goodwill of the Iranians for the surge in Iraq? This woman is Not too swift, illinformed , dangerous and a very loose unite. (Audio Included)

There’s no love lost between me and McCain. I don’t like the man. I don’t trust him. But I don’t hate him. But there’s something to be said about a man that generates so much rabid hatred. The idiots on the moral-minority right hate him because he won’t genuflect before them and kiss the ring. The leftists hate him because they are still running against Bush, and McCain is (in their view) just like him. You already know how I feel about the moral-minority types. Keep your laws off my pecker. And keep your paws off my XBox. But watching...

(TOKYO - When Yosuke the parrot flew out of his cage and got lost, he did exactly what he had been taught - recite his name and address to a stranger willing to help. Police rescued the African grey parrot two weeks ago from a neighbor’s roof in the city of Nagareyama, near Tokyo. After spending a night at the station, he was transferred to a nearby veterinary hospital while police searched for clues, local policeman Shinjiro Uemura said.) I imagine, while being kept at the police station, the parrot was banging his cage with a tin cup yelling, “Let...

There is only a little over a half a year left in Bush's presidency yet that hasn't kept Congressman Robert Wexler from continuing to screech for his impeachment. This time Wexler thinks he has found the key for the impeachment. It comes in the form of Scott McClellan's book, "What Happened?" which is short on actual facts but does include a passage where Scotty spotted Karl Rove and Scooter Libby walk into a private room together. CHIMPEACHMENT NOW!!! Of course, if McClellan eventually does testify before congress there will be nothing solid to be found which is why Rush...

One thing is certain about Scott McClellan’s book: he wouldn’t have sold many copies if it had been about how well President Bush had served his country. Friends and admirers of the President don’t need to read a book like that; only future students of history do. Friends and admirers well realize that, at enormous cost to himself in the nanny-state in which we now live, President Bush has kept us safe against all odds, he steered us through a recovery from the Clinton recession and then through the incredible collapse of the economy after 9/11, and all the while...
