“...give Black students a break! We are already DISPROPORTIONATELY impacted by this pandemic in terms of health care access and financial hardship. Now add state-sanctioned violence, how do you expect us to enter finals in this headspace?!” reads the petition. "You need to encourage and demand professors to accommodate their black students during this time. If UW truly understands our pain, UW will be a part of alleviating it,” the petition continues. “We can’t sit back and watch as injustices unfold before our eyes. We don’t have the privilege that white and non-black students do to ignore what’s happening and...

Al Sharpton and the mother of Eric Garner, filed into a private memorial service in Minneapolis Thursday afternoon to honor George Floyd, the man whose death in police custody sparked nationwide protests against police brutality and racial injustice. Hollywood celebrities, musicians and the politically powerful filed into a sanctuary in front of the golden casket of Floyd for a memorial service on Thursday as mourners began a three-city farewell. The service unfolded at the Lindquist Sanctuary at the North Central University as a judge less than a mile away set bail at $750,000 each for three...

Dr. Williams is a well known conservative economist and longtime John Olin Chair faculty at George Mason University in eastern Virginia, author of 12 books and syndicated columnist. In the past, he has been substitute host on the Rush Limbaugh radio program. He is almost like family to me, and I have benefited from his essays and books over the years. This past week, I saw and read his essay on disparities in crime rates among races that was picked up by Military in its October 2019 issue. What got Dr. Williams going was the article by Matthew DeLisi of...

Teachers at Cherry Creek School District in Colorado were asked to take a “white privilege” survey to make sure that they “reflect on their own racial identity and to think about how their experience in the world shapes their identity.” A school district in Colorado asked its teachers to take a “white privilege” survey, according to a report by PJ Media. The worksheet asked teachers a bizarre series of questions that have nothing to do with race, such as, for example, “Because of my race and/or color… If I should need to move, I can be pretty sure of hassle-free...

Seeing poor white people makes me happy June 11, 2019 By Nicholas Powers “Should I kick him in the face? Hard? No, chill, he’s not worth it. But why is this white boy begging for money in a Black neighborhood? Is he stupid?” I shake the evil out of my head and go into the subway. He comes every Spring. The homeless white boy flaps down like a dirty migratory bird, makes himself a nest from garbage and sleeps on the sidewalk. A sign on his shopping cart asks for money—I never give. I should tho ‘cause he makes me...

The Left is succeeding in demonizing the honorable profession of police officer to the point where cops are getting so fed they’re quitting and departments are plagued with officer shortages because fewer Americans want to subject themselves to the abuse. Police officers are racist, the Left screams. They ‘prey’ on young black men. After all, we have to believe that because Colin Kaepernick, Mr. Black Privilege, says so. But a new study by researchers from Michigan State University not only debunks that myth, it blows it out of the water with this bombshell conclusion: There’s just no evidence to support...

An offer has been made to settle a legal dispute over an incident at a York County golf course that made national headlines. But that offer isn’t likely to settle anything any time soon. When police were called about five black women playing at the Grandview Golf Course on April 21, 2018, the complaint alleged against them was that they were playing too slowly. This claim, refuted by other golfers playing behind the women, did not result in any charged being filed. The group of women then filed a lawsuit in response, alleging that the call to police was due...

"Some people say that, maybe I'm not an American citizen. Some people say, 'Ah, he has a forged birth certificate!' "Well, first of all, it's true. I'm not American. I was not born in Hawaii. I wasn't born in the United States of America. I come from Kenya. Earlier this month, a jury awarded Gibson’s Bakery $11 million following a month-long trial stemming from the bakery’s lawsuit against Oberlin College and Vice President and Dean of Students Meredith Raimondo. Then, last Thursday, it added $33 million in punitive damages. This stunning decision — which strikes a serious blow against free speech on college campuses across the country — has garnered significant attention in major media outlets such as CNN and The New York Times, as well as on social media and various personal blogs. The tension between the College and Gibson’s began in November 2016, when three Black...

... On Thursday, responding to longstanding concerns that the system penalizes black and Hispanic students, Mr. de Blasio announced new rules that will limit arrests in schools for low-level offenses. In addition, it’s likely that the maximum amount of time for suspensions will be sharply reduced. For decades, city statistics have shown that the New York City school system has disciplined black and Hispanic students at higher rates than white and Asian children — an unsettling yet consistent feature of the nation’s largest school district. The new guidelines represent perhaps Mr. de Blasio’s most dramatic attempt to change how students...

This is what they did to us during slavery. They used to beat us and whip us.” Temar Bishop,...

A Black Lives Matter chapter in Memphis is demanding “a truthful accounting” of the marshals’ actions that led to a black man’s death, igniting anti-police riots Wednesday night. The activist group said it wants “transparency and accountability” for the death of suspect Brandon Webber, 20, who was wanted for allegedly committing armed robbery earlier in June. Webber reportedly crashed a stolen vehicle into a police car Wednesday evening, commencing a firefight between himself and federal agents that resulted in his death. Webber “reportedly rammed his vehicle into the officers’ vehicles multiple times before exiting with a weapon,” the Tennessee Bureau...

Almost a year after Oregon state Rep. Janelle Bynum’s story of being questioned by police after a 911 call on her as she campaigned in her district went viral and sparked the hashtag #CampaigningWhileBlack, Oregon state senators have passed a bill that would allow the victims of frivolous, discriminatory 911 calls to sue the callers. On Monday, the Oregon state Senate passed House bill 3216, a measure introduced by the state’s three black Democratic legislators, including Bynum. The bill allows victims of these calls to sue a 911 caller for as much as $250 if the victim can prove that...
