Bishop was presumed dead in the crash, authorities said Saturday night. He was a year shy of being ...

Picture Emerges of Teen Suicide Pilot CHARLES BISHOP: To some, he was a smart, humorous student, which makes his suicide flight all the more incomprehensible. He read Shakespeare in class, pulled together a middle school literary magazine and enjoyed a good game of flag football. Friends and family members who knew him best described Charles as a patriot. The teen who flew an airplane into the Bank of America building, carrying a note sympathizing with Osama bin...

Al Jazeera English’s senior political analyst is under fire for telling a prominent Jewish writer that he “gives Jews a bad name” and should know his place by showing “some Jewish humility.” Marwan Bishara, Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst and host of its show Empire, made the comments on Twitter after Bloomberg columnist Jeffrey Goldberg complimented Al Jazeera. Goldberg had tweeted a link to an article in the left-leaning Israeli publication Haaretz headlined, “Why all Jews are cowards,” with the commentary: “Haaretz publishes headlines that al Jazeera never would, in part because al Jazeera is often more sophisticated.” This prompted...

The lone 15-year-old pilot who stole a small private plane and crashed it into a high-rise office block in Tampa, Florida, left a note expressing sympathy to Osama bin Laden. Tampa Police Chief Bennie Holder said the note was found on the body of Charles Bishop, who was the only person killed in Saturday's incident. "I would characterize it as a suicide note," Holder said.. He said Bishop's note clearly stated that he had acted alone without any help from anyone else. "Troubled Young Man" But Holder said that in the note Bishop expressed sympathy for bin Laden, the Saudi-born ...

(IsraelNN.com) Security services suspect that former MK Azmi Bishara, a fugitive living abroad accused of providing aid to Hizbullah, is intent on recruiting agents for the Lebanese terrorist group among Israeli Arabs. In recent days, agents of the General Security Services (GSS) invited activist members of the Balad party from Wadi Ara to the agency's offices and warned them against contact with Bishara. Balad was led by Bishara until his flight from the country in 2007. A member of the Arab Coordinating Committee, Ashraf Kortam, was also questioned by security services about his relationship with Bishara. He was asked to...

Excerpt - Israeli Arab Balad party chair MK Azmi Bishara resigned from the Knesset on Sunday, submitting his resignation at Israel's embassy in Cairo. Bishara was quoted Saturday as saying in Egypt that he was considering staying abroad because he feared a long term jail sentence and an end to his political career. A court-imposed gag order prohibits publication of suspicions against Bishara or details of police investigations into the allegations. Israeli Ambassador to Egypt Shalom Cohen and his deputy, who were present when Bishara submitted the letter, confirmed that he had resigned. Bishara, a fiery nationalist Arab lawmaker, left...

The arrest (which has since been reduced to house arrest) of Iz a-Din Badran, the parliamentary aide of Balad MK Azmi Bishara, due to suspicions that he organized trips by Israeli Arabs to Syria without a permit, testifies to the hardheartedness of the Israeli security system, which does not distinguish between issues of a human-humanitarian nature and issues of security and politics. Israeli citizens whom Badran is suspected of helping traveled to Syria in order to meet family members that they had not seen for 57 years. Most of these citizens are elderly people who became separated from their family...

1-5-01 Kid didn't know it was '02 yet. I have prepared this statement in regards to the act I am about to commit. First of all, Osama bin Laden is absolutely justified in the terror he has caused on 9-11. He has brought a mighty nation to its knees! God blesses him and the others who helped make September 11th happen. The U.S. will have to face the consequences for its horrific actions against the Palestinian people and (illegible, could be Iraq?) by its allegiance with the monstrous Israelis who want nothing short of world domination! You will ...

(IsraelNN.com) MK (Balad) Azmi Bishara is in day two of his hunger strike protesting the planned route of the “Jerusalem Envelope” security barrier. He is holding his hunger strike vigil at A-Ram Junction on the northern border of the capital, drinking only water. He insists the planned route is discriminatory and does not take into account the needs and rights of Arab residents of the capital, including thousands who will find themselves on the PA side of the wall. Bishara added that the removal of the barrier between eastern and western Jerusalem in 1967 was a politically motivated act as...
