Friday’s cable TV news ratings are out. The No. 1 show was Glenn Beck — at 5 pm. Hahahahahahahaha. Once again, the moronic attempt to boycott a network TV show has backfired. Big time. Not only that but the White House operative who arranged that leaning on advertisers — Van Jones — is out of his job.

In August, FNC beat the combined averages of CNN and MSNBC in Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo both in primetime and in total day. In prime, FNC averaged 2.29M Total Viewers and 590K viewers in the demo. "The O'Reilly Factor" (105 months as the top cable news show) had its five most watched programs of the year in August and topped summer reruns on ABC and NBC including "30 Rock," "The Office," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Ugly Betty." About a month ago, in this space, I told you The New York Times had rigged a poll about Americans wanting to pay higher taxes to fund government-run health care. The Times poll said 57 percent were willing to pay more tax and 37 percent were not willing to do so. But what the Times did not tell its readers was that 48 percent of those polled voted for Barack Obama. Only 25 percent supported John McCain. Of course the poll results would skew left.

Ms. Walsh was one of the chief critics that accused of having some responsibility for the killing of Dr. George Tiller. Most O'Reilly critics would never actually criticize him to his face so she definitely gets credit for coming in and facing the fire. The debate started with a critical question from O'Reilly.
