  • Cummings tries to DECEIVE regarding military response to Benghazi attack, Issa and Chaffetz respond

Cummings is a despicable human being. In Retired Air Force Brigadier General Robert Lovell’s prepared testimony at the hearing today, he said this: There are accounts of time, space and capability discussions of the question, could we have gotten there in time to make a difference. Well, the discussion is not in the “could or could not” in relation to time, space and capability — the point is we should have tried. As another saying goes: “Always move to the sound of the guns.” He’s simply saying that the discussion should never be can or can’t we make a difference...
  • Did State Dept. hide this dramatic evacuation? Another incident during night of Benghazi attack

JERUSALEM – Did the State Department scrub information about a dramatic incident the night of the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attack in which U.S. Embassy staff 400 miles away in Tripoli evacuated their residential compound under possible terror threat? The threat was taken so seriously that, according to a key embassy staffer, communications equipment was dismantled and hard drives were smashed with an ax. The scene was first brought to light in congressional testimony last week by Gregory Hicks, the former U.S. deputy chief of mission in Libya, but it remains largely unreported by news media. The incident also was...
  • Question: Should Lt. Col Gibson have ignored the order to stand-down from the flight to Benghazi?

    one man's opinion.....
Let me be 100% clear from the outset. The question I pose is in no way meant to imply or suggest any criticism of Lt.Col. Gibson. I suspect that at some time in the future we will know what he was thinking on that day. Because there are a great many Freepers who are active-duty or retired military, I ask the question because it is both fascinating, and needs to be asked.

    1. Two "stand-down" orders were given while the Benghazi attacks were in progress. 2. The "protest" about a YouTube video was a complete fabrication by the Obama administration. 3. Cheryl Mills, Clinton's lawyer at the State Department, told witnesses not to speak to House investigators.

A source with intimate information about the events that happened on the ground in Benghazi the night the U.S. Consulate and the CIA annex was attacked by terrorists told Breitbart News that, ultimately, only the President of the United States, or someone acting on his authority, could have prevented Special Forces either on the ground or nearby from helping those Americans who were under deadly assault. According to the source, when the attack on the Consulate occurred, a specific chain of command to gain verbal permission to move special-forces in must have occurred. SOCAFRICA commander Lieutenant Col. Gibson would have...

SNIP Throughout the night, sources say Americans on the ground in Libya at times felt helpless and abandoned. "We relied on Washington for dispassionate assessment," one eyewitness told CBS News. "Instead, they [Washington officials] were asking us what help we needed. We answered: 'Send reinforcements!' " But they were told immediate help wasn't available. Embassy personnel say they repeatedly asked the Defense Attache on site in Tripoli for military assistance. "Isn't there anything available?" one Embassy official says he asked. "But the answer was 'no.'" "What about Aviano?" the official pressed, referencing the NATO air base with US assets in...

In an appearance on Face the Nation this morning, Rep. Darrell Issa revealed several new pieces of information about the Obama administration's controversial description of the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, casting doubt that the White House mischaracterized its cause by mere accident. "The talking points were right and then the talking points were wrong," Issa explained in response to a question about reporting at the Weekly Standard. The CIA and Greg Hicks, who took over as Charge d'Affairs in Libya after the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens, both knew immediately that it was an attack, not a protest....

In the hours that followed, Hicks says, the Libyan military agreed to fly a C-130 from Tripoli to Benghazi in the early morning hours of September 12 – a flight that was to include a second team of Special Operations soldiers – dispatched from the Libyan capital to join a team sent earlier to Benghazi. But as those reinforcements were leaving for the flight, they were told to stand down. Hicks received the news in an early morning phone call from a top military commander in the region. “So Lieutenant Colonel Gibson, who is the SOCAFRICA commander, his team, you...

The deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya during a 2012 attack on a diplomatic outpost in Benghazi told investigators he thought it was a terrorist strike from the beginning, according to interview excerpts released Sunday on CBS News’s “Face the Nation.” “I thought it was a terrorist attack from the get-go. I think everybody in the mission thought it was a terrorist attack from the beginning,” Gregory Hicks said in an interview with investigators shared with “Face the Nation.” The excerpt was one of several host Bob Schieffer revealed on the program.Hicks is one of the...

Full title - "Report: Nearby US special forces blocked during Benghazi attack, told ‘you don’t have authority to go’" As the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya raged on for more than seven hours, a team of U.S. special forces in Tripoli was blocked from flying in to attempt a rescue, according to a top American diplomat who was in the region. The Scandal In Libya: On the night Bengazi burned and four Americans died, forces ready to deploy were told to stand down and our secretary of state cut out of the loop her department's counter-terrorism bureau. Few people know who Gregory Hicks and Mark Thompson are, but then nobody knew who John Dean was when he testified at the Watergate hearings and blew the Nixon administration and its coverup out of the water. The deputy of slain U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens has told congressional investigators that a team of Special Forces prepared to fly from Tripoli to Benghazi during the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks was forbidden from doing so by U.S. Special Operations Command South Africa. The account from Gregory Hicks is in stark contrast to assertions from the Obama administration, which insisted that nobody was ever told to stand down and that all available resources were utilized. Hicks gave private testimony to congressional investigators last month in advance of his upcoming appearance at a congressional hearing Wednesday. According to excerpts released Monday,...
