To ensure safety of it's customers, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and many other retail establishments who have requested their patrons disarm before entering their stores, will soon start providing their own contracted armed security at all of their retail outlets. I have been looking for the headline above but have yet to see it.

Well, it’s been (almost) three solid years into the Donald Trump Presidency and not one treasonous criminal action has been punished. Not one. ZERO. Zilch. Na-da. Take for example when Hillary Clinton literally laughed out loud at a question about her email investigation — had to wipe her eyes, she laughed so hard. She laughed at us, at America, for being so clueless as to think she’d ever answer to our laws. And she’s still laughing, because she’s right: she’s untouchable. The consensus is that even though we know that the first email investigation was rigged by the FBI to...

Parkland shooting survivor and activist David Hogg declared that if he’s ever shot he wants activists to publicize photos of his corpse, and place it on the doorstep of the NRA’s headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. The anti-gun March For Our Lives founder explained that if he’s ever shot he wants his death to be used to promote gun control, in a series of tweets issued on Sunday. He also created a hashtag his supporters can use to indicate that they too want their corpses leveraged for activism if they’re ever shot.

SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — President Trump's wayward former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci appeared at a Southampton, New York, campaign stop where Joe Biden addressed well-heeled Democrats. But he claimed his presence at the Blue Dream Gala, hosted by the Greek Orthodox Church of the Hamptons, should not be taken for support of the former vice president and 2020 Democratic front-runner. “I'm a registered Republican. I haven't switched my support to Vice President Biden, but I will be working to find a nominee to challenge Donald Trump because he's lost his mind and we've got to get someone here before...

Anthony Scaramucci thinks he knows when Donald Trump will decide not to run for president again. And, according to “The Mooch,” it’s only seven months away. "He’s gonna drop out of the race because it’s gonna become very clear. Okay, it’ll be March of 2020. He’ll likely drop out by March of 2020. It’s gonna become very clear that it’s impossible for him to win,” the former (short-lived) White House communications director said in an interview with Vanity Fair published Friday.
  • The left’s war on the media? Bashing the press becomes a bipartisan affair

Among the many consequences of Donald Trump’s ascendancy in modern American politics is a renewed and deepened hostility for the press, not only among his far-right base, but within the general electorate. In recent decades, trust in media has plummeted from a high of 72% who had a great deal or fair amount of trust in 1976, thanks in large part to Watergate coverage, down to a historic low of 32% in 2016. Trust has ticked back up to 45% in 2018 and, among Democrats, is actually the highest it’s been in 20 years. You might not know it to...

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, fresh from a bitter public spat with top House Democrats, unloaded on President Trump Sunday afternoon after he suggested that unnamed progressive congresswomen "go back" to their own "corrupt" and "crime infested" countries of origin, then "come back and show us how it is done." "You can't leave fast enough," Trump had written. Ocasio-Cortez's fiery Twitter return barrage could be the call to action that unifies a party currently divided along establishment and progressive lines, observers said, even as some analysts blamed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for laying the groundwork for Trump's remarks. "Mr. President,...

Major hotel chains headquartered in the Washington, D.C., area pledged not to allow Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to use its hotel rooms as backup detention centers for immigrants targeted in this weekend’s raids. “Our hotels are not configured to be detention facilities, but to be open to guests and community members as well,” Marriott International wrote in a statement dated Thursday. “While we have no particular insights into whether the U.S. government is considering the use of hotels to aid in the situation at the border, Marriott has made the decision to decline any requests to use our...

She’s chic, fiery, and really darn good at soccer. Is it any wonder that everybody loves Megan Rapinoe? The soccer star and U.S. women’s national team captain has become a celebrity after guiding her team to yet another Women’s World Cup win on Sunday. Amid endless fanfare, she has received a glowing feature in the Washington Post, modeled for Sports Illustrated, and become a viral sensation. One article in the Week even endorsed her for president. There’s just one problem: She’s actually kind of an awful person. Rapinoe has soccer skills for sure, but her entitled, flippant, and unpatriotic attitude...

The U.S. women's national soccer team is back on home soil following its victorious World Cup run in France. The last time the team was in this position, in 2015, it couldn't wait to celebrate with President Obama. But, it's a different story this year. Megan Rapinoe, one of the most vocal and recognizable players on the team, has already told the press she's "not f***ing going" to Trump's White House. As one of the openly gay players on the team, she doesn't believe Trump represents LGBT citizens. It's one of the reasons she's also refused to recite the national...

U.S. Women's Soccer superstar Megan Rapinoe doubled down in her opposition to visit the Trump White House on Tuesday but expressed that she was open to accept invitations from anyone who "believes the same things we believe in" like Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY. Rapinoe's feud with the president began last month when she declared she was "not going to the f---ing White House,” which prompted a response from Trump on Twitter. "I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job!" Trump...

Megan Rapinoe showed no sign of stemming her outspoken ways after scoring the goals that saw USA march one step closer towards the World Cup final. “Go gays!” she said after the 2-1 quarter-final victory over France in Paris and when asked to comment on whether it being Pride month made her contribution more personally significant. “You can’t win a championship without gays on your team - it’s never been done before, ever. That’s science, right there! “I’m motivated by people who like me, who are fighting for the same things. I take more energy from that than from trying...

In a series of tweets Parkland survivor and activist Emma González has slammed Madonna's new music video, "God Control." The video is a statement by Madonna on gun control and anti-gun violence. Madonna makes powerful statement against gun violence in 'God Control' video. It begins with a warning for viewers and shows people, including Madonna, being gunned down with an assault weapon on a dance floor. The scene is evocative of the Pulse nightclub attack in 2016 in which 49 people were killed. González was a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida in February 2018 when...

David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland, Fla., massacre who has become a highly visible gun control activist, claims he has been the target of an assassination attempt seven times the past year. Hogg, 19, told The Washington Post in an article published on Tuesday that the attempts to end his life came from people who are "misguided and misinformed of what we’re actually here to talk about." He said that if someone were to kill him because of his efforts to curb gun violence, it would most likely be "the stupidest thing they could do to try to end...

Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg said he has been the target of seven "assassination attempts" in the last year. The vocal supporter of gun-control legislation detailed his experiences throughout the last 18 months as he went from regular high school student to one of the faces of the school safety movement in an interview with the Washington Post published Tuesday. He was not asked for further details about the threats. Regarding the death threats and assassination attempts, Hogg said that killing him would be "the stupidest thing they could do to try to end the movement." "Because that would make it even more successful in the end," Hogg told the Post. "Because it would invigorate us and create f---ing change." The 19-year-old activist is slated to attend Harvard in the fall after graduating from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last May and taking a year off. As a senior, Hogg experienced the mass shooting at his high school that claimed the lives of 14 students and three staff members on February 14, 2018. "Honestly, I realize that it's horrible that I have to live through this, and it is traumatizing," Hogg said, referring to the death threats. "But you eventually become desensitized to it." Following the deadly shooting at his school, Hogg and several classmates formed a gun control advocacy and toured the country by bus raising awareness about school safety and gun violence. He also used his platform to register voters and mobilize them for the 2018 Midterm Election. He said he plans to continue his public activism as the 2020 election approaches. "I want to go to school and, for lack of a better word, weaponize my knowledge and learn as much as possible to end violence," he said.

Attorney Michael Avenatti blasted actress Alyssa Milano on Twitter Monday afternoon in response to a tweet she issued about his arrest for domestic violence last year. At the time, Milano wrote that the allegations against Avenatti were "totally disgusting" and that she was "disavowing" Stormy Daniels's former lawyer. Avenatti was arrested in November 2018 after an ex-girlfriend accused him of grabbing her by the wrist and throwing her out of his apartment. The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office announced in February that Avenatti would not be charged with a crime. For some reason, the lawyer chose to respond on Monday...

Baseball legend Pete Rose took a shot at his former teammate and Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench on Thursday during an appearance on “The Brian Kilmeade Show.” Rose fired back after Bench refused to budge from his view that the former Cincinnati Reds star should be excluded from the Baseball Hall of Fame for gambling on the sport in 1989. “It don't bother me but you know Johnny Bench is one guy who should thank God I was born,” Rose told host Brian Kilmeade. “Because he never would have made the Hall of Fame if I wasn't born.” Kilmeade...

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam announced on Tuesday that he’ll recall lawmakers to the state Capitol in the coming weeks to take up a package of gun-control legislation, which he said is urgently needed to prevent killings like Friday’s mass shooting in Virginia Beach. Northam said he plans to convene a special legislative session this summer. The Democrat said in an Associated Press interview ahead of his announcement that he wants the Republican-controlled General Assembly to hear from the public about the need for “common-sense” law related to guns and accessories. Republicans have previously rejected Northam’s gun control bills out of...
