U.S. Women's Soccer superstar Megan Rapinoe doubled down in her opposition to visit the Trump White House on Tuesday but expressed that she was open to accept invitations from anyone who "believes the same things we believe in" like Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY.
Rapinoe's feud with the president began last month when she declared she was "not going to the f---ing White House,” which prompted a response from Trump on Twitter.
"I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job!" Trump exclaimed, later adding that he would invite the team to the White House "win or lose."

If I were in the White House: No invitation, no reply, no further comment or discussion of the subject.
In hopes of driving up funding, interest and winner’s share revenues...this action by Rapinoe probably achieved the opposite result, and politicized the sport and team enough that half the nation has zero interest. A non-politicized team could have returned to the US and achieved a lot of interest in the sport. I don’t see that happening now.
I hope the president does not invite them, as rude as they have been. Still I would not be surprised if he does extend an invitation, if only to highlight just how disrespectful, hissy and hateful some progressives can be to the president of their own country.
The most radical of them will not be able to help themselves. Their righteous raging will become volcanic. The Gals will fall right into his trap. News interviews littered with obligatory Bleeps due to heavy profanity.
The public impression will be long lasting, especially as we approach another Election Year. The Donald will use their compulsion to spit venom at any mention of today’s White House for his political advantage. And why not?
I walked into a pizza joint Sunday afternoon. It’s one of those places with TVs on every wall and they were all on soccer. I got there as the nasty one and some other chick dropped a flag on the ground, stepped on it, and did some kind of monkey dance. I imagine that stunt cost them a hundred million in endorsements. I don’t much care what they do or where they go.

Rapinoe’s girlfriend is basketball star Sue Bird. They share a condo in Seattle, which is a cauldron of leftist activism. I believe Papinoe gets her anti-Trump influence from those in her community.
