NASHVILLE - Police in Nashville say a woman accused in a bizarre murder case has tried to take her own life. Martha Freeman is charged with first-degree murder in the beating death of her husband, Jeffrey Freeman. Police say he was killed after he discovered his wife's lover asleep in a bedroom closet in their home on April 10th. Police charged Rafael DeJesus Rocha-Perez in the murder, then additionally charged Mrs. Freeman last month after questions arose during a court hearing in April.
