African Press International recently reported that Michelle Obama had apparently had enough of their news organization's political coverage and called them up directly to demand their black allegiance. THIS post provides a follow up. API responds today: 1. API had a telephone call from Mrs Obama after consultations with Nairobi. We will avail all the details and what transpired so that all interested parties may understand that the story is not fake. 2. API has no interest in the outcome of the US elections and we do not partner with any group in the promotion of any candidate for the...

It has been asserted by a number of sources, including Andy Martin, that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Mombasa, Kenya and not in Hawaii. Philip Berg’s Latest Motion to the Court is more explicit since it gives an exact Place of Birth. I must assume that Berg did not simply pluck the Location out of thin air, Mombasa has more than one Hospital, though Coast Provincial General was the best in 1961. Unless he has taken the Oath of Allegiance as a Naturalized Citizen since he was 18 years old, and if he was born in Mombasa, Kenya, Barack...

Thank you for the information on what is going on. We appreciate. API will not be pressurised to email the recordings to individual media outlets. API was not aware that the receptients of our emails were actually forwarding them to other media outlets. We understand that the purpose of doing so is to pressure API to release the recordings. We will do so, but at our own timing, which is going to be soon, and yet as we say, we will be carefull on how we do it because we now realise that many people want to use the recording...

The conservative blogs are all atwitter about a bizarre interview allegedly with Michelle Obama on a website called "African Press International." “My husband was born in Hawaii and adopted by his step father, does that make him unpatriotic," she supposedly said "on a direct telephone to API" the "interview" hypes. It goes on from there. This morning my inbox is filled with the "WHY ARENT YOU COVERING THIS?" emails on the subject. The answer is: because it doesn't appear to be in any way real. Obama campaign senior adviser Robert Gibbs says the interview is a complete and utter fabrication....

With gas prices topping $4 a gallon and the idea of tapping into oil under the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge or the Outer Continental Shelf becoming more popular, liberal members of Congress are changing the basis for their opposition to drilling. Opposition to opening up new drilling has traditionally focused on environmental concerns, but the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on June 15 accused oil companies of not using what they already have. When CNN host Wolf Blitzer asked "why not start drilling" in more U.S. areas "that could dramatically increase supply and as a result reduce the...

As gas prices increase, Congress is feeling more and more pressures from its constituencies to explore for oil in areas that are off-limits, including the Outer Continental Shelf and in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). Many politicians in Washington, D.C. oppose those efforts due to environmental concerns, but House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on June 12 he’s not opposed to drilling, but said oil companies aren’t using the leases they have. “Well, there’s nothing wrong with drilling,” Hoyer said. “But the fact of the matter is we have 80 percent of the leases that...

Politically Correct Donations Only by: Don Irvine, November 06, 2007 The Washington Post reported Saturday that the Smithsonian Institution has put on hold a $5 million donation from the American Petroleum Institute over objections from two of the museum complex's Board of Regents including U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) about accepting money from the oil industry for a project on the world's oceans. The main objection came from the regents' longtime executive committee chairman Roger Sant who ironically made his fortune as the founder of power company AES which is a member of the American Petroleum Institute. Since that time...
