Democrats have lost all rational thought when it comes to immigration and how to secure the U.S. border, but the immigration policy positions held by the extreme Left of the party, embodied by ‘Democratic Socialist’ Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, can best be described as confusing, silly, and, frankly, stupid.

Last week, though, Holocaust memory in America hit a whole new low. Holocaust memory is dying in America. A recent poll discovered that 22% of American millennials don’t know what the Holocaust is, and an astounding two-thirds couldn’t identify the word “Auschwitz.” Then there is the issue of our own communal belittling of the Holocaust. At a recent city council hearing in the city of Englewood, New Jersey where I live, I personally heard Orthodox rabbis invoke the Holocaust to help sell a commercial assisted-living project, being developed by a donor to both shuls, to the city council. I live...

aybe she was sad about the lack of migrant kids available for a photo op? That’s the question we’re asking after finding new photos of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) at a border entry gate days before she won the Democratic primary. Photographer Ivan Pierre Aguirre recently posted pictures from AOC’s trip to the border last year, which depict the congresswoman crying, presumably at the sight of nearby migrant children being inhumanely detained. “Before @AOC hit the national stage & was just a fairly unknown House candidate frm NYC,she took time awy frm her campaign & came dwn to #Tornillo to...

No Monsters under our beds, just monsters taking our beds Don’t know whether the Info Wars photo of the $600 watch allegedly worn by New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is for real, but if it is, it would be the only “real” thing about her. In the tsunami of of things said and written about the now omnipresent AOC, most people don’t know, or have already forgotten, that the Voice of the Green New Deal is not a real member of the House of Representatives, she is the hands-down winner of a 10,000-member casting call, arranged by Socialist Bernie...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has received heat after it was revealed that she was wearing a $600 dollar watch during her carefully staged ‘crying’ border photo-op. The photos, which show AOC crying into her hands, were taken two days before she won her Congressional race. They show her outside a “tent city” in Tornillo, Texas which was being used to temporarily hold migrant children. Now Twitter users are dragging Ocasio-Cortez for wearing a $600 dollar watch during a protest. Eagle-eyed sleuths zoomed in on the watch and found out that it was a Mavado Museum Classic which retails at $595.

The Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC has published a statement rejecting the kind of analogy Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made recently when she called migrant detention centers along the southern border “concentration camps.†The statement was posted on the museum’s website as a press release: The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum unequivocally rejects efforts to create analogies between the Holocaust and other events, whether historical or contemporary. That position has repeatedly and unambiguously been made clear in the Museum’s official statement on the matter – a statement that is reiterated and reaffirmed now. The link to the Museum’s statement is...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed it was Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) — not herself — who appropriated vernacular associated with the Holocaust in her criticism of the self-avowed Democratic socialist’s comparison of U.S. border facilities to concentration camps. “Reminder: the member who directly + explicitly compared concentration camps on our border to the Holocaust was *Liz Cheney.* The horrors of the Holocaust went beyond the use of concentration camps, yet camps were part of the process,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter. “They have also been used before and after,” she added. Ocasio-Cortez has garnered a flurry of criticism since referring to...

At the dawn of the USSR, hopes of the imminent global rule of communism soared high among leftists of the world. But in a few decades, it became clear that the socialistic ideals of Lenin had failed. How did this come to happen? “It is important to distinguish socialism from communism,” says Elena Malysheva, dean at the Division of Archival Studies at the Institute for History and Archives. “While socialism was the formal type of state administration of the USSR, communism was the ruling ideology. The project of the socialist state was initially utopian and populistic.” “The Soviet project contained...

It’s been another momentous week for anti-American Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the New York ‘Democratic Socialist.’ She began the week insulting the memories of Jewish Americans and their loved ones who suffered mightily at the hands of the barbarous Nazi regime that, under Hitler’s orders, attempted to exterminate an entire race from the face the earth. Known as “The Holocaust,” Nazi Germany killed more than 6 million Jews during World War II, most by gassing them to death but also via exhaustion, deprivation, and starvation in concentration camps.

Shortened title. Full title: Academics Rally Behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Over Concentration Camp Comments: 'She Is Completely Historically Accurate' Freshman congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued to spar with Republicans over her claim that U.S. migrant detention centers are "concentration camps" over the weekend. Ocasio-Cortez blasted Iowa representative Steve King Sunday after he asked her to visit the site of Nazi death camp Auschwitz with a Holocaust memorial group. Declining his invite, she pointed out King had met with a far-right Austrian group during his own trip to the camp, as The Washington Post noted last October. Ocasio-Cortez described migrant detention facilities at...

The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum released a statement Monday rejecting comparisons between migrant detention centers in the United States and the events that took place in the early 20th century. “The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum unequivocally rejects efforts to create analogies between the Holocaust and other event, whether historical or contemporary,” the Museum stated. “That position has repeatedly and unambiguously been made clear in the Museum’s official statement on the matter – a statement that is reiterated and reaffirmed now.” The Museum continued: “[A] statement ascribed to a Museum staff historian regarding recent attempts to analogize the situation on...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) refused Sunday to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp, after a Jewish group had invited her to tour that camp and others this summer to educate herself about the facts of the Holocaust. Last Monday evening, Ocasio-Cortez compared detention facilities for illegal aliens caught crossing the U.S.-Mexico border to “concentration camps,” adding the phrase “never again,” which commonly refers to the Nazi Holocaust. The remark drew outrage and criticism, even from fellow Democrats. Nevertheless, Ocasio-Cortez doubled down, first claiming that she had not been referring to Nazi Germany, then drawing parallels to the U.S. internment of Japanese-Americans...

Holocaust survivors spoke on camera in a Turning Point USA video released Saturday saying Ocasio-Cortez was “insulting every victim of the Holocaust."Holocaust survivors – David Tuck and Sami Steigmann, described their experiences in concentration camps on camera.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Friday night that an explosion at a Philadelphia oil refinery was due to climate change, arguing that the incident underscores the urgency of her Green New Deal. A vat of butane ignited and eventually exploded around 4:00 AM Friday at the Philadelphia Energy Solutions Refining Complex, followed by a series of smaller explosions as the fire worked its way through a mass of pipes carrying fuel across the complex.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is doubling down on her claims that the Trump administration is running concentration camps on the southern border, tweeting on Saturday that the administration is also “fighting to not give children toothpaste or soap” and “making people sleep on dirt floors.”

Most Nazi analogies are profoundly stupid, intellectually lazy, and diminish the suffering of millions. David Harsanyi By David Harsanyi JUNE 18, 2019 “The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border. That is what they are.” — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In April 1944, two Slovakian Jews named Alfred Weczler and Rudolf Vrba escaped from Auschwitz, and provided one of the first eyewitness accounts of the horrors of the European concentration camps. Both men had been rounded up with a group of their countrymen and sent to the Birkenau section of the camp in the spring of 1941, where they...

Vladimir Lenin once proclaimed, “Show me who your friends are, and I will tell you what you are.” Perhaps in this day of Russian hoax hysteria, quoting a devout socialist dictator may seem a bit, unnecessarily dramatic. But even as a blind squirrel will find the occasional nut, old Vlad had an insightful and, as it turns, prescient point. After all, if you work in a sewer, you will smell like sewage. If you ride in cars with drug dealers, you may, fairly or not, be called a drug runner. This realization is, in this current political climate, proving as...

WASHINGTON — The Yad Vashem museum in Israel suggested that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez needed a history lesson after the freshman Democrat said migrants at the southern US border were being housed in “concentration camps.” “Concentration camps assured a slave labor supply to help in the Nazi war effort, even as the brutality of life inside the camps helped assure the ultimate goal of ‘extermination through labor,’” the Israeli museum, billed as a world center for Holocaust research, tweeted Wednesday at the New York Democrat. “Learn about concentration camps,” the tweet also said, as it linked to the museum’s web page...
