While protests were growing following the police shooting of Daunte Wright in Minneapolis, the buzz on social media quickly began taking on a divisive tone. Joining in on the action was Representative Rashida Tlaib, who clearly was not pleased with the latest developments. But rather than calling for police reform or justice for the victim, Tlaib immediately turned the dials up to eleven and declared that there should be no more policing or incarceration of any sort, saying that the system “can not be reformed.” Yes, we’re back to the entire “abolish the police” theme.

The Senate on Wednesday voted to confirm Merrick Garland as U.S. Attorney General, handing the reins of the Justice Department over to a longtime federal judge who's pledged to de-politicize the agency. He was confirmed by a vote of 70 to 30. Among the Republicans who voted in Garland's favor were Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Sens. John Cornyn of Texas and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. Republicans who voted against Garland included two likely 2024 presidential candidates, Sens. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Ted Cruz of Texas. "America can breathe a sigh of relief that we're...

NEW YORK - When rioters tore through the U.S. Capitol last month, some of them gripping Confederate battle flags, they didn’t encounter a statue of the most famous rebel general, Robert E. Lee. The Lee statue, which represented the state of Virginia as part of the National Statuary Hall Collection in the Capitol for 111 years, had been removed just weeks before — one of at least 160 public Confederate symbols taken down or moved from public spaces in 2020, according to a new count the Southern Poverty Law Center shared with The Associated Press ahead of releasing it. The...

Over the last two weeks, since Congress met to count the votes from the Electoral College, America has raced down the path of civil war. We all hoped that politicians, Facebook, other social media, online media, and the Old Media would try to calm things down. Instead, they have all taken self-serving actions that have worsened the current situation. We have reached a stage where the political climate in American looks like something out of a piece of dystopian fiction or the start of a civil war. As I write this, there are 26,000 National Guards soldiers occupying and defending...

Federal agents arrested a self-admitted anarchist and “hardcore leftist” on Friday on suspicion of plotting to violently disrupt planned election-related protests at the Florida state Capitol. Prosecutors said they “averted a crisis” at the Capitol by arresting 33-year-old Daniel Baker, taking him into custody on a charge involving making a threat to kidnap or injure, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida announced in a news release. “Baker issued a call to arms for like-minded individuals to violently confront protestors gathered at the Florida Capitol this Sunday,” prosecutors said. “He specifically called for others to join him...

Is it just me or has the entire universe of establishment media, politics and Hollywood forgotten that this country has endured an entire year of relentless violent anarcho-tyranny? Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioters set businesses and churches ablaze, smashed state capitols and laid siege to federal courthouses. They permanently destroyed precious statues and symbols of America's heritage. They assaulted elderly people, stalked and menaced bystanders, taunted and terrorized law enforcement. And they committed murder – dozens of times – in the name of social justice while the powers that be sat idly by. How conveniently they have all forgotten...

I may be going with a group to Washington, D.C., for the 6th. I expect a crowd of over 1M people there. Busses are being leased all over the country, all headed the same direction. I just hope we leave early enough to avoid the traffic snarls we’re certain to run into. I also hope everyone who goes understands how enticing a target that many patriots in one place makes for those who are trying to steal this country away from us. We’ll have to trust the security forces there to keep us safe, but I’m also aware that the...

The second American civil war appears to be inching closer to reality. As I write this, hundreds of thousands of Americans are making plans to head to Washington, D.C., to make their voices heard on Jan. 6 as Congress convenes to vote on the Electoral College slate of electors that will choose our next president. Some are motivated by patriotism to rally for the continuation of our constitutional republic under President Trump, others for global socialism and an authoritarian “Great Reset” supported by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Regardless of who gets inaugurated on Jan. 20, expect the other side...

The specter of BLM riots haunted many a city this past summer, as many of you will certainly remember. Day after day, hordes of rioters and looters smashed shop windows, attacked bystanders and police officers, and plunged America into days of fire and darkness. It was anarchism at its worst; the state could not protect our lives or our property. With the news that “Detroit sues BLM” coming out, perhaps that anarchic time is finally ending. Our natural rights were under attack and the attackers claimed they had a moral right, because of their skin color, to do so. For...

Third, the biographies of at least some of today’s race-minded trailblazers suggest a connection between fatherlessness and identity politics. The author of the bestseller White Fragility was a child of divorce at age two. The author of the bestseller So You Want to Talk About Race reports that her father left the family and broke off contact, also when she was two. The author of another bestseller, Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race, was raised by a single mother. The author of another hot race book, The Anti-Racist: How to Start the Conversation About Race and...

POLICE SCUFFLES Nearby, a group of Trump supporters were also gathered – but they were greatly outnumbered by the anti-Trump crowd. The earlier scuffle reportedly stemmed not from a clash of supporters, but from protestors failing to follow police orders and move a demonstration vehicle that was illegally parked. Black Lives Matter protests have been taking place for months in the nation's capital – stemming from nationwide unrest that followed the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in May. According to Fox News, a collection of Black Lives Matter and Shutdown D.C. groups held training sessions on...

CNA Staff, Nov 2, 2020 / 04:54 pm MT (CNA).- A leader of Poland’s pro-abortion movement urged Catholics to oppose the Catholic Church’s opposition to abortion in the country, even suggesting the possibility of vandalism or other attacks on Catholic churches. "Dear Catholics, at the moment, you have a chance to oppose your church. At the moment, you partake in what is going on, in this disgusting stuff the Church is doing. And this is the final warning, because you should revolt, your communities, you - engaged in the life of the church," Marta Lempart said during an Oct. 26...
