Home Secretary Priti Patel urges people not to attend any more Sarah Everard protests due to lockdown - as protesters gather outside parliament

Ms Patel orders police inspectorate to review policing of Saturday's vigil in Clapham

Met Police Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick says she will not step down - and is backed by the PM

Protesters block Westminster Bridge and stage sit-in outside Scotland Yard as criticism of police grows

protesters trying to out-manoeuvre police

Police have moved in on protesters who are campaigning following the death of Sarah Everard.

Hundreds of campaigners have marched from Parliament Square and through the Soho area chanting and waving banners in an attempt to out-manoeuvre Met Police officers.

Protesters could be heard urging others to run and "keep moving".

Road traffic in the surrounding areas was brought to a stop.

A large police presence followed the demonstrators, along with police vans and motorbikes.

Mood of protest moves towards anarchy

Sky's Ivor Bennett is on the ground in central London, where he says the "mood" of the protest has changed towards "anarchy".

Arrests have begun and protesters are shouting anti-police rhetoric and expletives.

Campaigners were given an ultimatum to go home or be arrested as dozens were stopped over breaching coronavirus restrictions.

One female protester told officers she was in her local area and had been going home before she was detained.

Another demonstrator was placed in handcuffs while fellow campaigners shouted “don’t kneel on his neck”.

Police officers could be heard instructing them to leave immediately.

I was hoping this was about something in Portland, Or.
I guess the Brits are having to deal with their ration of sh*t too.

What is to fear from “enforcement?” The prosecutor will drop everybody’s charges

Police are wrong in this case, as one of their accused of exposing himself at least twice, then days later accused of kidnapping and murdering a woman.

The sh*t in this case has been caused by the police...and the insane government lockdown restrictions.

These women were protesting because the police have been harsh and aggressive against normal citizens...and meanwhile, a policeman was just arrested for the kidnapping and murder of a young woman walking home at night.

One of my British Army 16 AAB acquaintances is telling me that a number of Army wives were beat up and assaulted by London Metro Police last night. The Army is peeved by this.

Suffice it to say that tonight’s protest may well go kinetic. The UK is at a major breaking point and the effin’ police beating up women who are protesting the murder of a woman by a friggin’ cop has crossed a big red line.

And of course if you need a place to spend the night before leaving, we can probably arrange that for you too...

If there were any SAS wives amongst that number, the bobbies are fooked.

Now imagine what would happen with a real and serious pandemic. Say something that kills off say 1 - 2 % plus in a year of the world population.

In the case of a real epidemic no gov’t lockdown would be (and never were)needed. The death rate would tamp sown adventurers.

Why are there protests over a man killing a woman - was the case not being investigated? Was he let off? Were the court proceedings unfair, or corrupt?

The London police were initially covering up the crime to protect the suspect. Not that the media will say this so bluntly yet they do acknowledge there was a cover up to protect one of the members of the Thin Blue Gang.

The murderer/cop had been noted on at least four previous occasions exposing himself to women, assaulting women, and etc.

The spin is that the protests are against men committing violence against women, but video of the protests shows it’s against police literally getting away with murder.

The police in the UK are actually worse than in the US when it comes to misconduct because the facts on the ground are that the UK government sanctions the misconduct. Part of their broader view on how people should be ruled by the government.

Many of the most flagrant cases of police and prosecutorial abuse in enforcing the COVID-19 lockdowns are coming from the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, generally worse than even the most liberal states like New York or California. England originated the Magna Carta, but that country and those nations culturally closest are degenerating into authoritarian police states.
