**SNIP** "We need a new president, and we need a president committed heart and soul to the climate crises," Gore said during an activist training conference in Atlanta hosted by his nonprofit, nonpartisan Climate Reality Project. "I'm very happy that so many of the Democratic candidates have made it clear that's the way they would intend to govern if they won." Trump's presidency "is unfortunate in so many ways," Gore said, but he also credited Trump's open contempt of the scientific consensus that human activity affects the Earth's atmosphere with pushing many moderates and even some conservatives toward the more...

Hi kids, Many of you will be marching today, demonstrating for an issue you believe to be very important. Many years ago, I was young, well informed, and absolutely convinced I knew enough to make good decisions for the future of the world, and couldn’t understand just how obtuse all the oldies were, how they just didn’t know the stuff I had just learned. Malthusian economics drove most of us, the Club of Rome had reported, and to my subsequent shame, I confess that in 1975 I voted for the Values Party…. I wanted a better world, I knew resources...

Former Vice President Al Gore appeared on The Circus Sunday night and reiterated his belief that climate change is responsible for the migrant caravans from Central America heading to the U.S. To prove his point Gore showed an area, spanning several countries, that is known as the Dry Corridor, part of which is so dry it’s gone an entire year without a harvest. This, according to Gore, is where the journey begins for many migrants. “The drought becomes unbearable, so they pick up stakes and they say, ‘We can’t live here,’” Gore said. “First of all, they leave their farms...

Former Vice President Al Gore said Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam can fulfill his “racial reconciliation” pledge by opposing the Atlantic Coast pipeline, which he called a “racist rip-off.” “This is an ideal opportunity for him to say, ‘I’ve seen the light,'” Gore said at an anti-pipeline town hall in a historically black part of Buckingham County, Virginia, as part of an “Environmental Justice Tour,” the AP reported. Gore appeared on stage with his daughter Karenna Gore, Rev. Dr. William Barber II, environmental activists and residents of Union Hill, a historically black neighborhood, who oppose the Atlantic Coast pipeline. Gore...

Dramatic rises in atmospheric methane are threatening to derail plans to hold global temperature rises to 2C, scientists have warned. In a paper published by the American Geophysical Union, researchers say sharp rises in levels of methane - which is a powerful greenhouse gas - have strengthened over the past four years. Urgent action is now required to halt further increases in methane in the atmosphere, to avoid triggering enhanced global warming and temperature rises well beyond 2C. “What we are now witnessing is extremely worrying,” said one of the paper’s lead authors, Professor Euan Nisbet of Royal Holloway, University...

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (Reuters) - Armed South African officials were hoping Wednesday for another attempt to board a Uruguayan ship chased for 20 days through Antarctic seas on suspicion it has been poaching the rare Patagonian Toothfish, also known as Chilean sea bass. A South African salvage tug, the John Ross, came alongside the Uruguayan-flagged Viarsa late Tuesday, but waves of up to 33 feet and heavy snow prevented a boarding, according to Australian and South African officials. "We think it might happen (the boarding) at around 1600 our time (10 a.m. EDT) but we will see what happens. The...

Always read to the end of the report; that’s where the good stuff is. Case in point an obscure little stat was released on Friday with the not-quite-tantalizing title “Agricultural Prices”. Tables and tables of words with numbers after them – soybeans, price per bushel – wheat, percentage change year over year – imported fruits…exported nuts…you get the idea. If you do the shopping for your family as I do (don’t snicker, I also chop down trees and bench 300), you’re probably not surprised to find out that agricultural prices rose quite rapidly in May. In fact the monthly price...

ONLY one week after Live Earth, Al Gore's green credentials slipped while hosting his daughter's wedding in Beverly Hills. Gore and his guests at the weekend ceremony dined on Chilean sea bass - arguably one of the world's most threatened fish species. Also known as Patagonian toothfish, the species is under pressure from illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing activities in the Southern Ocean, jeopardising the sustainability of remaining stocks. The species is currently managed by the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Living Marine Resources, the body which introduced a catch and trade documentation scheme as an attempt to tackle...

From time to time, Tom Brokaw, former anchor of NBC’s “Nightly News,” is going to stop by and bring us a story that captures his attention. This time, he has a fish tale that will likely hit you right where your taste buds are, and might have you looking twice at the menu. For his report for “Today,” Tom talks to G. Bruce Knecht author of “Hooked: A True Story of Pirates, Poaching, and the Perfect Fish,” about how this popular fish has been so overfished that it is now disappearing from the world’s oceans.

Algore, Mr. Eco-Friendly himself; the Grand Poo-bah of the Church of Global Warming, has racked himself up yet another "Do as I say," moment. At a recent wedding celebration for his daughter, among other things, the Gore family feasted on Chilean sea bass. So, big deal, right? Yes it is, actually; given that Chilean sea bass is one of the most endangered of sea species, and as much as 50 percent of the species currently on the market is illegally caught. Also known as Patagonian toothfish, the species is under pressure from illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing activities in the...

Offset Al Gore's Eco-Unfriendly Diet! PETA appreciates the work that Al Gore has done to raise awareness about the problem of global warming. But Gore—who once said, "[W]e will face a string of terrible catastrophes unless we act to prepare ourselves and deal with the underlying causes of global warming"—would probably be the first to tell you that saving the planet will require a lot more than raising awareness. The key to stemming the tide of climate change is to make personal changes that will help reduce global warming. So it's a bit of a mystery why Gore continues to...

(CNSNews.com) - The most dangerous domestic terrorists in the United States may have nothing to do with Islam or Iraq but may be little-known extremists who regard violence against animals as akin to violence against people, according to FBI officials. This week, a declassified portion of the latest National Intelligence Estimate for the United States warned that Americans can expect attacks from these groups within the next three years. The estimate refers to "single issue" groups that, according to law enforcement, often include radical environmentalist organizations. Among the most visible: the Animal Liberation Front and allied Earth Liberation Front, and...

Noted environmentalist but failed science prognosticator and multi, multi, multi-millionaire Al Gore, whose lavish homes fit the lifestyle of a Democrat former senator, former Democrat vice president, failed Democrat presidential candidate, Academy Award-winner, Grammy-winner, Nobel Peace Prize-winner, and all-around hypocrite chimes in on fellow (yeah, yeah, she's a woman) Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.)'s equally non-scientific scheme to ruin the USA while getting rich — probably — and more famous in the process.

A Bush aide's blunt words New adviser pulled no punches in his magazine pieces By Peter Baker Updated: 5:39 a.m. ET June 13, 2006 WASHINGTON - Bill Clinton is a "virtuoso deceiver" and Hillary Rodham Clinton a "true chameleon" guilty of "self-serving behavior, comparative radicalism, and dubious personal morality." Al Gore is a "mad dog" known to "foam at the mouth." John McCain is given to "showboating." And Jacques Chirac, Nelson Mandela, Gerhard Schroeder and Kofi Annan are all "feckless fools." Says who? President Bush's new chief domestic policy adviser. While most White House aides carefully trim their public commentary,...

**SNIP** There’s a reason fake climatologists keep making outrageous predictions based on flimsy science: Money. Mr. Gore’s net worth is in excess of $200 million. He jets everywhere to give his doomsday speeches (often $100,000 per), and he lives in a 10,000-square-foot mansion that expends 21 times more energy than the average U.S. household. But do as he says, not as he does. Enter Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 29-year-old former bartender who’s putting the “socialist” back in the Democratic Party. At a Martin Luther King Day forum in New York City this week, she said this: “I think the part...

Ex-US vice president Al Gore is to address a high-level wine and climate change conference in Porto this year, designed to help wineries and academics share knowledge. Leading academics and wine industry figures will attend a ‘climate change leadership’ conference, in a follow up to the July 2018 ‘Porto Protocol’ – a non-profit initiative uniting the international wine sector to counter the effects of climate change. Barack Obama spoke at the 2018 conference and this year’s symposium will see former US vice-president and Nobel Laureate Al Gore address guests. ‘We are shifting from discussing climate change to sharing solutions,’ said...

Action on climate change has been stymied by politics, lobbying by energy companies and the natural pace of scientific research — but one of the most significant barriers is our own minds. Think about how every town seems to have a traffic intersection that’s needlessly dangerous. No matter how many times you think to yourself, “They should really put in a stoplight here,” you don’t call the proper authorities. (You’re already late for work, and it feels like someone else’s problem to solve.)Our mental responses to global warming and climate change follow a similar script. What needs to be done...

Democrats will soon take control of the U.S. House and are vowing to put climate change on the agenda. Some are calling for a "green new deal," while others support a growing push for a tax on carbon.

FULL TITLE: WRONG AGAIN: Obama and Gore Said Global Warming Would Cause More Severe Tornadoes – 2018 Was First EVER with NO VIOLENT TORNADOES Remember this? Back in January 2013, Barack Obama blamed climate change/global warming for “raging fires, crippling drought and more powerful storms” during his second Inaugural speech. Peace award winner Al Gore supported his comments. But Obama and Gore were wrong again. According to the NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center the total number of tornadoes during 2012 was just 936 – a ten year low. And 2018 was the first year ever with no violent tornadoes in the...
