  • email from NARAL pro-abortion on election (BARF ALERT)

Dear Pro-Choice Supporter, Thank you. You were with us every step of the way helping to protect our pro-choice allies in Congress, and your partnership means so much. Our focus and passion makes losing the U.S. House of Representatives to anti-choice politicians all the more difficult. We came so far in recent elections, and you probably feel a lot like I do about yesterday’s outcome: frustrated and disappointed – but determined. We now face a Congress stacked with extreme anti-choice politicians, but we cannot give our opponents an inch! Starting today, we must send a message to John Boehner, who...
  • Oklahoma County judge blocks enforcement of ultrasound abortion law

A tough new abortion law remains on hold. An Oklahoma County judge Monday extended a temporary ban on enforcing the state law. District Judge Noma Gurich set the next hearing for Jan. 21. The 2010 law requires a doctor or technician to perform an ultrasound at least an hour before a scheduled abortion so the pregnant woman can see the images of the fetus. The doctor or technician must describe the ultrasound images to the woman, even if she objects. A patient can avert her eyes. Two of the state's three abortion providers, the Reproductive Services clinic in Tulsa and...

This is the kind of abortion funding the pro-life movement warned the kind of abortion funding the pro-life movement warned about when Congress considered the bill. http://LifeNews.com/nat6531.html
  • Politicizing Aid at the G8 Summit (Abortion At Any Costs)

On the agenda at the G8 summit in Canada is promoting maternal and infant health in the poorest parts of the globe. The high rates of maternal and infant mortality in many countries are an impediment to democracy and social development, to say nothing of a human tragedy for these communities. Commitments of resources from the G8 countries to address these problems should be welcomed and commended. Why, then, is the Obama delegation threatening to derail these agreements? ......................................................... Given this, one would expect there to be universal support for Canada’s leadership in taking on these problems and working to...

AS SOON AS SCOTT ROEDER WAS NAMED THE SOLE SUSPECT IN THE point-blank shooting death of Wichita, Kan., abortion provider Dr. George Tiller in the vestibule of the Reformation Lutheran Church Tiller attended, a predictable story began to be told. Following the lead of a recent Department of Homeland Security report characterizing right-wing terrorists as lone wolves, the Los Angeles Times, CNN, ABC, NBC and FOX News all ran stories calling Roeder a “lone wolf” gunman. It is the oldest, possibly most dangerous abortion story out there. August 13, 1994, The Washington Post: “Many anti-abortion leaders have… denounced Paul Hill...
