Name one advantage that mass immigration from third-world countries has brought to any Western nation, anywhere, at any time. I'll wait. The riots that engulfed Britain this past week have again shone a spotlight on the issue that the authorities keep insisting is "beneath discussion." And the issue isn't racism, xenophobia, white supremacy, or any other scare word. The issue is Western ruling classes importing, against the expressed will of their citizenries, enormous numbers of immigrants who have absolutely no desire to assimilate into Western society or to respect Western values.

We always knew the Brits didn’t have free speech, but now we’re learning it even harder. There’s a funny internet meme that uses a still frame from a British sketch comedy show in which two naïve Nazis wonder aloud, “Are we the baddies?” The conservative humor site Twitchy is fond of referencing that joke whenever the U.K. government treats George Orwell’s 1984 as an instruction manual instead of a warning. These days, the joke is everywhere because the world is watching Britain nosedive into abject tyranny. U.K. officials do not like dissent. They do not like free speech. And they...

Dear Freeper Sportslovers, Does this Australian Rules football hit, which caused permanent brain damage to Angus Brayshaw, look like "A Football Act" or criminal assault? One commentator said Maynard, the player wearing black and whit stripes, couldn't stop. Another said he had a duty of care to himself to rotate his own body to avoid behind hurt by colliding from above with Brayshaw's head. Under the rules of the game 18.3.2 (c). it is illegal to make high contact to an opposition player with any part of the body. Under 18.3.2 (f) makes it illegal to charge at an opposition...

The selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as the running mate for Vice President Kamala Harris has led to intense debates over crime policy, war claims, gender identity policies and other issues. Some attacks have, in my view, been inaccurate or overwrought. However, the greatest danger from this ticket is neither speculative nor sensational. A Harris-Walz administration would be a nightmare for free speech. For over three years, the Biden-Harris administration has sustained an unrelenting attack on the freedom of speech, from supporting a massive censorship system (described by a federal court as an “Orwellian Ministry of Truth“) to...

Are runamok UK censors laying down the blueprint for a Harris/Walz administration crackdown? Very scary things are happening in the United Kingdom. Sir Mark Rowley, Met Police Commissioner, has threatened to jail U.S. citizens over online posts he deems hateful or disinformation. At the same time, the UK is openly enforcing a two-tier system of justice where antisemitic rioters, pro-jihadi and pro-open borders thugs are given free rein to terrorize citizens, and those who object are beaten and jailed. One jurist has, in fact, just sentenced someone for being a just a looker-on and even retweets of anything the UK...

Kamala Harris has stolen one of Donald Trump's key campaign promises to stop taxing tips given to service workers. Harris revealed she was copying the flagship Trump policy at a rally in Las Vegas Saturday night. She told attendees her government will 'eliminate taxes on tips for hospitality and service utility workers.' The announcement drew huge applause. Trump himself attacked Kamala in a post on Truth Social, asking: 'How long will it be before Kamala Harris comes out with another “TRUMP” policy like, “No Taxes will be paid by our Senior Citizens on Social Security?” 'She’s looking really bad now!...

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) proposed a revenue procedure this week to crack down on the service industry's reporting of tips. The Service Industry Tip Compliance Agreement (SITCA) program would be a voluntary tip reporting system in which the IRS and service industry companies cooperate, according to the announcement Monday. As part of the proposal, the IRS will give the public until early May to provide feedback on the program before implementing it.

“‘Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth’” (Matthew 6:19). The believer is to use his possessions unselfishly. Some years ago I happened to have contact with two quite wealthy men during the same week. One was a former professor at a major university who through a series of investments made possibly a hundred million dollars. In the process, however, he lost his family, his happiness, and his peace of mind and had aged far beyond his years. The other man, a pastor, also made some investments and acquired great wealth but was not preoccupied with his investments. Because...

In 2004, Tim Walz organized a protest outside a rally for President George W. Bush where he held up a sign that read “Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran 4 Kerry” — referencing the US fight against terrorists in Afghanistan. The trouble is, in his 24 years in the Minnesota National Guard, Walz never deployed to combat zones in Afghanistan or Iraq. The closest he got was thousands of miles away in Italy. But it’s a label he used again and again — including in his official biography when he ran for Congress two years later in 2006. That photo shows just...

Christina Westman dreamed of working with Parkinson’s disease and stroke patients as a music therapist when she started studying at St. Cloud State University. But her schooling was upended in May when administrators at the Minnesota college announced a plan to eliminate its music department as it slashes 42 degree programs and 50 minors. It’s part of a wave of program cuts in recent months, as U.S. colleges large and small try to make ends meet. Among their budget challenges: Federal COVID relief money is now gone, operational costs are rising and fewer high school graduates are going straight to...

Kamala Harris’s coronation as the Democratic nominee was greeted with applause across the party’s establishment—but not among progressive populists. Harris herself remains a cipher on economic issues. But her donors and senior advisers—Big Tech and Wall Street types galore—led the likes of Matt Stoller, the antitrust activist, and the editors of The American Prospect to sound the alarm, especially in light of Donald Trump’s veep choice, J.D. Vance. By picking Tim Walz as her running mate, Harris has gone a long way toward bolstering her left-populist flank and neutralizing Vance’s potential appeal. Walz can’t be framed as a neoliberal Democrat...

People need to know what it was like back in 2004 when my brother-in-law passed away...' The family of slain San Francisco police officer Isaac Espinoza is speaking out against Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign, recalling her inexplicable decision not to seek the death penalty for Espinoza’s killer. Gang member David Hill viciously gunned down Espinoza during a routine traffic stop in 2004. Harris, then-San Francisco district attorney, refused to pursue the death penalty despite the wishes of Espinoza’s family and fellow Democrats. In a Saturday interview with the Daily Mail, Espinoza’s brother-in-law, Edgar Mendez, criticized Harris for prioritizing...

coalition in Iraq has pushed proposals to lower the legal age of marriage for girls to just nine-years-old, sparking fierce backlash from activists and rights groups. Protesters demonstrated in Baghdad this week to express their outrage at changes that would allow aspects of personal status matters to be legislated by religious sects, rather than the courts. With many Iraqi marriages conducted informally and left unregistered, the revisions would allow figures from Sunni and Shia religious sects to finalise unions between people in law. But critics fear the Shia code would be based on 'Jaafari jurisprudence', allowing girls as young as...

...The convoys are known as “Trump Trains”, and though they have appeared in other states they have taken off in the Rio Grande valley. They symbolize the political drama that is unfolding in this overwhelmingly Hispanic community that has for generations been umbilically tied to the Democratic party: the seemingly unassailable rise of Trump.... An opinion poll from April conducted by the Texas Hispanic Policy Foundation (TxHPF) found that Trump was leading his then presumptive rival Biden in South Texas by 44% to 36%. That was an astounding statistic given the region’s previously lock-tight Democratic record... Religion is another critical...

A Ferguson, Missouri, police officer was critically injured outside the city’s police station during protests on the 10th anniversary of the fatal shooting of Michael Brown... Ferguson police chief Troy Doyle said Officer Travis Brown suffered a severe brain injury Friday after being knocked to the ground.... Police also didn’t intervene when the protesters began shaking the fence outside the station. But he said that when they broke a section of fencing, he sent out the arrest team. The suspect who charged at Travis Brown knocked him backward with his shoulder, and the officer hit his head as he tumbled...

A woke female judge has been suspended after she accused a prosecutor of going after 'every young black man,' in addition to allegedly changing a jury's verdict and convicting a defendant of a crime that didn't exist. The Louisiana Supreme Court ruled 5-2 to remove 19th Judicial District Judge Eboni Johnson Rose from her elected post on an interim basis - with pay - amid a formal investigation by the Louisiana Judiciary Commission, NOLA.com reports. The Court ruled that she 'presents a substantial threat of serious harm to the public,' and said there 'does not appear to be direct precedent...
