Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Tuesday that the U.S. will soon announce an additional $2.3 billion in security assistance for Ukraine, to include anti-tank weapons, interceptors and munitions for Patriot and other air defense systems. Austin’s remarks came as Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with him at the Pentagon. And they mark a strong response to pleas from Kyiv for help in battling Russian forces in the Donetsk region. Austin said the aid will come through presidential drawdown authority, which allows the Pentagon to take the weapons from its stocks and send them more quickly to Ukraine.

John Dean, former White House counsel for the Nixon administration, said he believes former President Nixon “would have survived” the Watergate scandal if the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling issued Monday, which largely shields former presidents from criminal prosecution for actions in office, existed at the time. Asked what would’ve happened with Nixon if the immunity ruling was in place during the fallout from Watergate, Dean pointed to Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who split from the other conservative justices on a portion of the majority opinion regarding the use of president’s official acts as evidence in criminal prosecution against a former...

Manhattan prosecutors said Tuesday they would not oppose Donald Trump’s request to delay the sentencing in his hush money trial as he seeks to have the conviction overturned following a Supreme Court ruling that granted broad immunity protections to presidents. In a letter filed with the New York court, prosecutors with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office said they would be open to a two-week delay in the July 11 sentencing in order to file a response to Trump’s motions. “Although we do believe the case to be without merit, we do not oppose his request” to delay the sentencing...

Oh my. Liberals haven't thought this through at all. There is a flood of limp wristed hand wringing transpiring among liberal circles following the SCOTUS ruling on Presidential immunity. They should be grateful instead, but they are short sighted and lacking in memory. Let's have a look at the histrionics from a couple of left-wing Biden sycophants. First, the ever-hyperbolic Elie Mystal. Well, yes. It's been done. Barack Obama killed four Americans in drone strikes. No indictment, no trial, no jury of their peers. Just BOOM. On Wednesday, the Obama administration publicly acknowledged for the first time that four Americans...

President Joe Biden’s aides are reportedly “scared *&*^&^%%” during briefings with him, as he refuses to take advice from anyone other than top aides. The reported leak from Politico represents frustration within the Biden campaign, which is reeling from a poor debate performance and subsequent calls for Biden to drop out of the race. “It’s like, ‘You can’t include that, that will set him off,’ or ‘Put that in, he likes that,’” one senior administration official told the outlet. “It’s a Rorschach test, not a briefing. Because he is not a pleasant person to be around when he’s being briefed....

Lofgren: "He’s been very open about what he intends to do, and that’s retribution. He, himself, said last December he intends to terminate parts of the Constitution. He didn’t say which parts. Be didn’t say which parts but apparently, the Court is going to give him a wide range to terminate whatever he wants. You know, he summoned a mob to Washington knowing they were armed. He sent them to the Capitol to try to prevent the peaceful transfer of power. If that’s OK, we’ve got a problem in this country. And certainly, in the debate the other night, he...

“We finally beat Medicare” That is an exact quote. That is the moment many people in the country realized what the rest of us already knew. Joe Biden is not up to the job. This is why he wasn’t allowed to conduct a real press conference. This is why he needs notecards in every meeting with foreign leaders. This is why the Muppet does all the talking for him. Right away you knew something was wrong with Biden- the staccato cadence, trying to spit out the memorized talking points while they remained in his head, the confusion, the blank stare....

BBC presenter David Aaronovitch sparked outrage on Monday after he called for the murder of President Donald Trump on Twitter-X. Aaronovitch, who has since deleted his call for murder from X, called on Joe Biden to “Hurry Up” and “have Trump murdered.” Don’t forget, it is the left that ALWAYS attacks the right for being violent and dangerous. And it is ALWAYS projection. David Aaronovitch defended his call for murder before he deleted his tweets. Aaronovitch is a presenter of BBC Radio’s 4’s Briefing Room. David Aaronovitch was reportedly raised by atheists whose “faith was Marxism.” The Express reported: A...

Nearly 70 percent of progressive voters say President Biden should suspend his campaign after last week’s debate performance, a new survey found. The poll, conducted by Our Revolution, surveyed more than 17,000 progressive Democratic voters and found 67 percent of them say it’s time for Biden to step aside. The calls for a new candidate were squashed by the White House and Biden campaign in recent days. Biden and his team insist he is ready to beat former President Trump. Although Biden’s lackluster debate performance has sparked panic among Democrats about his ability to lead the country and take on...

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 along ideological lines in favor of President Donald Trump Monday morning, ruling that presidents are immune from criminal liability involving official acts during their tenure. The case, Trump v United States, arose from narcissistic Special Counsel Jack Smith’s corrupt indictment against Trump, who is falsely accusing the 45th President of conspiring to throw out the 2020 presidential election results. The garbage charges Smith has levied include spreading “claims” of election fraud and “attempting to obstruct the certification of the election results.” Trump’s lawyers correctly countered that these actions were within...

Those who enjoy wine may have prehistoric reptiles to thank for today's beverages The earliest fossil grape from the Western Hemisphere is approximately 60 million years old, scientists discovered. A group of scientists with Chicago's Field Museum recently discovered grape fossil seeds that could connect dinosaurs to today's numerous wine offerings. The South America study found nine new species of fossil grapes dating back to at least 19 million years ago — with the oldest one found in a 60-million-year-old rock. Dr. Fabiany Herrera, assistant curator of paleobotany at The Field Museum, led the study. The discovery proved that grapes...

Joey, the albino grizzly bear from Canada has led an eventful and unfortunate short life. Meet Joey, the world’s unluckiest yet most endearing albino grizzly bear. Joey, due to his snowy-white fur from albinism, found himself on an accidental world tour, mistaken not once, not twice, but multiple times for a polar bear! Joey’s rollercoaster of adventures began when a well-meaning animal protection group, mistaking him for a polar bear, shipped him off to the Arctic. Picture this: a regular-sized grizzly among towering polar bears, who were as confused as Joey himself. It turns out, size does matter in the...

A delegate for President Joe Biden’s reelection effort warned on Monday that black women will abandon the party if Democrats replace the presumptive nominee with another “white man” instead of Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden spoke with a raspy voice and trailed off during the Thursday debate with former President Donald Trump, leading Americans to express concerns about his age and fitness for another four years as president. Areva Martin, an attorney and California delegate for Biden for President, said on “The Stephen A. Smith Show” that Democrats should “stay the course” with the president and that passing over Harris...

Ukrainian officials said Monday that they thwarted an attempted coup, arresting individuals who had conspired to allegedly stage a riot in Kyiv. Ukraine’s internal security service, known as the SBU, said a group of activists were detained for trying to create riots over the weekend that would lead to the removal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government in power. The alleged attempt took place Sunday, as Ukraine was commemorating the anniversary of its constitution. The SBU did not name the individuals and it’s unclear if they are connected to Russia, which invaded Ukraine in 2022 and has made multiple efforts...
