It is easy to birth conspiracy theories. All that is required is chronic government stonewalling of reasonable requests for transparency. Then add in high officials serially lying under oath, along with the blatantly unequal application of the law. Institutionalize arguments from authority of politicians and bureaucrats who refuse to adjudicate arguments empirically. Include the weaponization of investigatory and intelligence bureaucracies. Finish with the transformation of an obsequious media into a mouthpiece of the state. And presto, you end up with a skeptical, cynical public that learns to believe the very opposite from what it is told by elites. January 6th...

In a hilarious Twitter video that has gone viral, a small dog is seen struggling to find a comfortable spot to sleep next to a large cat on the same bed. The video shows the cat already settled on the bed, leaving the dog to find a way to get on without touching the feline. The footage captures the dog's evident discomfort, as it struggles to settle down beside the "bully."

Gunpowder by Jack Kelly is the best history on the subject this writer has encountered. It is not a “how to” book, although the essentials of how to make black powder are covered in enough detail that one could do so. The book elaborates on the thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of persons who died while making black powder over the roughly 800 years of its primacy. “Gunpowder” starts with an examination of the long development of the “fire drug” in China, from about 1050 A.D. to 1230 A.D. During this 180-year period, Chinese “fire drug” producers learned to increase...

Over the past seven months, 14 convicted killers have met their maker as four states look to ramp up their execution programs - despite allegations America's death row systems are rife with problems. On Thursday morning, Oklahoma executed Jemaine Cannon, 51, by lethal injection for stabbing a woman to death with a butcher's knife in 1995. And before Friday at 6am, Alabama is set to execute James Barber for the 2001 murder of an elderly woman who he beat to death with his bare fists and a claw hammer. In January, transgender murderer Amber McLaughlin, 49, was the first to...

“First they were in the closet, then they demanded rights, then they took away our rights. And you know what? Now we’re in the closet.” Messianic Rabbi K.A. Schneider said Christians need to “come out of the closet” and speak up against the LGBT agenda’s use of the rainbow. Schneider is the host of the television program Discovering the Jewish Jesus. He also started a campaign called Taking the Rainbow Back.

Just Stop Oil's 'Beyond F***ed Banquet' was derailed today by counter-protestors, who set off alarms suspended in balloons. The divisive climate activism group held an event in London to 'step back, grieve for what will die and disappear but also to celebrate what we have achieved', offering campaign updates, stories from people 'in resistance', plant based food and music. But the banquet was thrown off course when 'Just Stop P***ing Everyone Off' protestors crashed the event with deafening 'personal safety alarms'. The group - which this week clashed with JSO as they prepared to march on London - was revealed...

It’s not often that we ask to reproduce an article that has already appeared elsewhere, but this one is exceptional. John Lofton, a Christian, here interviews Craig Palmer, who, along with Randy Thornhill, is one of two evolutionist academic authors of the book, A Natural History Of Rape: Biological Bases Of Sexual Coercion (MIT Press). The book argues that rape is to be expected on the basis of our alleged evolutionary heritage. Many other evolutionists have attacked the book’s thesis; this interview brilliantly spotlights the inconsistency between evolution and the idea of moral values in a society. We do not...

"From the perspective of Israel's friends in the United States, it looks like the current judicial reform proposal is becoming more divisive, not less. Given the range of threats and challenges confronting Israel right now, it doesn't make sense for Israeli leaders to rush this--the focus should be on pulling people together and finding consensus" Joe Biden Statement To "Axios" News Site Sunday July 23, 2023 "A leading business forum representing 150 of Israel's largest companies announced a strike for Monday which would see some banks, shopping centers and gas stations closed, and some businesses working in a reduced framework,...

Ukrainian drones struck two non-residential buildings in Moscow in the early hours of Monday morning and were “suppressed” by defenses there, Russian authorities said, describing the incident a “thwarted” attack. The strikes caused no serious damage or casualties, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on Telegram Monday. Russia’s Ministry of Defense blamed Ukraine, describing the strike as a “terrorist attack of the Kiev regime” and that the two drones were “suppressed” and crashed in Moscow.

When Ukraine launched a counteroffensive in the spring of this year, the Western military knew that Kyiv did not have enough training and weapons – from shells to combat aircraft – to dislodge Russian troops. However, they hoped that Ukrainian courage and ingenuity would win. "They haven’t. Deep and deadly minefields, extensive fortifications and Russian air power have combined to largely block significant advances by Ukrainian troops. Instead, the campaign risks descending into a stalemate with the potential to burn through lives and equipment without a major shift in momentum." the WSJ says. As the likelihood of any large-scale Ukrainian...

The amount of total outstanding public debt on America’s balance sheet is soaring. Newly updated numbers from the government’s FiscalData platform show the country’s debt has surged by $57.2 billion in just four days. After surpassing the $32 trillion mark on June 16th, the total debt accumulated by the US has already jumped an additional $590 billion as of July 20th. In a new interview on Bloomberg TV, billionaire investor David Rubenstein says the US can only manage its ever-increasing pile of debt with inflation, which will further expand America’s income inequality gap. “When I left the White House under...

It’s been a busy week for Japanese eVTOL developer SkyDrive, who has announced its second pre-order agreement in two days, its latest coming from CT UAV in Vietnam. That puts pre-orders for the company’s new SKYDRIVE eVTOL up to 200 in Vietnam alone. We will spare you the brief history of SkyDrive Inc. as we just offered a recap yesterday when the company announced a pre-order for up to five of its newly designed SKYDRIVE eVTOLs (seen above) by Austin Aviation in South Carolina. That initial letter of intent kicks off SkyDrive’s journey toward setting up shop in The Palmetto...

It’s hard to imagine, looking at the incredible sunrise over the hills here in the Galilee this morning, that just a few hours ago our kibbutz was being ripped apart by supporters of our neighbor, Likud MK Amichai Chikli. For months now, every Friday at exactly 16:30, peaceful demonstrations have taken place outside his house. Nearer our backyard than his, in fact, for his personal guards set up fences to ensure they are not too near his actual residence. Which means the demonstrations take place on the doorsteps of all of his neighbors’ houses. Week after week we have listened...

On July 24, 1952, Stanley Kramer’s High Noon was released and subsequently won 4 Oscars. Wikipedia reports that the film was “one of the first 25 films (selected) for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” in 1989, the NFR’s first year of existence.” As I see it, the greatness of the movie is in showing how good government depends on the performance of exceptional individuals and just how hard modern centuries make it for those individuals to want to stay in government. The heroes we need are getting harder and harder...
