The Joe Biden who swore his oath of office on the west front of the United States Capitol one year ago on January 20, 2021, is not the Joe Biden Americans see shuffling around the White House today. Last year, Biden presented his policies as a can't-fail way to "build back better," "shut down the virus," and lead the American economy out of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. Flanked by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, Biden's party controlled two-thirds of American government, and it seemed, on paper at least, that Biden would be able to do what he wanted. For those...

ABC legal analyst Sunny Hostin said Thursday on ABC’s “The View” that Republicans treated President Joe Biden like a black president. Hostin said, “There are things that he has not gotten credit for, like he’s inherited this pandemic from the Trump administration. It was badly handled. He was able to pass a 1.9 trillion dollar relief package which a majority of Republicans voted against. That’s something that he gets credit for. I think he also gets credit for his incredibly diverse judicial nominations. I think there has been about 41 federal judges. Those are lifetime appointments.” She continued, “I think...

The House Jan. 6 select committee's request to sit with Ivanka Trump is further highlighting the close relationship Fox News host Sean Hannity had with her father's White House. A letter from the panel to Ivanka Trump includes portions of text exchanges from Hannity and then-White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who has since returned to Fox. In the texts, Hannity recaps just a few points of a broader communications plan for responding to the attack, among other pieces of advice. “1- No more stolen election talk,” Hannity reportedly texted McEnany, who herself sat down with committee investigators last week...

MSNBC host Joy Reid said Thursday on her show “The ReidOut” that President Joe Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a “white guy employment act.” While interviewing transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg, Reid asked, “Do you think it was a mistake, looking back? Because the infrastructure bill that was passed was cleaved apart from what’s now being called Build Back Better. And in a sense, it’s a bill that’s like a white guy employment act. Right? There is going to be a lot of working-class men that are going to get employed by that bill. But that’s the very cohort...

Hope this vanity to General/ Chat is not too intrusive. I love Tucker Carlson, his analysis and his bravery, to the extent he's the only Fox show I watch every night. However, Tucker's opposition to any possible (even imagined) American military action is extreme. Tucker is against America going to war with Russia over Ukraine. That's ok, but so is everyone, including the Biden Administration. Biden made it clear the American/ NATO reaction to a Russian invasion, would be limited to sanctions. Yesterday, everyone but Tucker heard Biden practically invite Russia into Ukraine. But Tucker still claimed on yesterday's show...

Republican Rep. Liz Cheney publicly read texts from Fox News anchors to the Trump White House as some glorious Jan. 6 investigative find that will vanquish the former president and his followers. What it really did was typify what has been going on in Washington since skyscraper man took command. Two-term Republican President George W. Bush returned in 2009 to Texas, where in retirement he plays golf, paints and raises money for wounded veterans. However, he left behind thriving alumni who reside and plot in the comfortable, mega-wealthy confines of Washington. Former President Donald Trump called the town of revolving-door...

Author and journalist Carl Bernstein said Thursday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that former President Donald Trump is the “first seditionist president” in America’s history. Bernstein said, “We have a culture of misinformation and disinformation. It is not just media. It pervades the national life. Obviously, during the Trump era during the Trump presidency, in our politics, we saw actual repeated serial lies by what we now know to be a president of the United States who was a seditionist. The first seditionist president in our history has perpetuated these lies. And worst of all, we have a political party that...

The British terrorist who took four people hostage inside a Texas synagogue ranted about the “f***ing Jews” in the final phone call he made to his family during the siege, a recording obtained exclusively by the JC reveals. In a chilling conversation with his brother in Blackburn from inside the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, Malik Faisal Akram, 44, said: "I'm opening the doors for every youngster in England to enter America and f*** with them”. Addressing fellow jihadists, he shouted: “Live your f***ing life bro, you f***ing coward. We’re coming to f***ing America. F*** them if they want...

Restrictions on liturgy announced in the Archdiocese of Chicago three weeks ago have prompted diverse reactions among priests in the archdiocese, while the archdiocese itself has become a focal point for the U.S. implementation of instructions, issued by the Vatican’s worship office last month, on the celebration of the Extraordinary Form of the Mass. Pushback on new liturgical policies suggests their implementation may become an ongoing issue within the Chicago archdiocese, even while one well-known parish has aimed to diffuse tensions over new archdiocesan rules. “The Canons Regular are…committed to filial piety for the Archbishop of Chicago and the Bishop...

ROME — Two Italian bishops have banned any unvaccinated priests from distributing Holy Communion at Mass in their respective dioceses in an effort to get all priests inoculated against the coronavirus. Archbishop Andrea Bellandi of the Salerno archdiocese and Bishop Giacomo Cirulli of the diocese of Teano issued separate decrees this month prohibiting unvaccinated priests from distributing the Eucharist. Archbishop Bellandi sent out a circular letter to all the parishes of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno, urging unvaccinated priests to examine their consciences. “For those who have not yet been vaccinated, ask yourselves in conscience if such a choice is coherent and respectful of...
