Run for cover! The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is warning that we only have a few years to save the planet — a nugget of fear porn the United Nations and the media have been peddling for decades. Liberal outlet The Guardian ran a climate propaganda story headlined “Major climate changes inevitable and irreversible – IPCC’s starkest warning yet.” The outlet took a nosedive into absurdity by blaming humanity for “climate crimes”: “IPCC’s verdict on climate crimes of humanity: guilty as hell.” The outlet took the IPCC report and screeched that unless “rapid and drastic reductions in greenhouse...

Average pay for restaurant and grocery workers rose above $15 an hour for the first time, according to Labor Department data reviewed by The Washington Post. The Labor Department reported that in June, the most recent month where data is available, non-managerial restaurant workers earned an average of $15.31 an hour, which is a more than 10 percent increase from the $13.86 hourly wage workers were taking home before the pandemic, the Post noted. Grocery store workers took home on average $15.04 an hour in June, which was up seven percent from when the pandemic began.

Hungarian President Viktor Orban was a once a dissident against communism. Then he turned to faith and flag—and became a heretic against liberalism. “The right’s entrancement with [Hungarian President Viktor] Orban has emerged fitfully over the last decade. One could find defenses of the Hungarian regime in places like the New York Post, the Federalist, the Heritage Foundation, and National Review. Yet, until recently, open support for Orban’s Hungary was an idiosyncratic minority position on the American right,” writes Jonathan Chait in one of his two articles last week on the topic, citing yours truly. In the last couple of days,...

There are liberals who refuse to kowtow to the woke mob. Bari Weiss was one of those folks. She fled her job at The New York Times as an op-ed writer. Bill Maher, a comedian, is another target of the far left, which is evident on social media. He drives them nuts because he shreds liberal hypocrisy when it comes to coddling radical Islamic terrorism. He’s pro-free speech. He’s anti-political correctness. He’s not a conservative, but in lefty circles, he might as well be. Left-wing America is quite anti-free speech, pro-terrorist anti-cop, anti-reason, and utterly insane as of late. So,...

Someone once said, "Be grateful for the doors of opportunity — and for friends who oil the hinges."That's how I feel about a recent magnanimous offer made to Southern Baptists by apologist Alex McFarland about six weeks ago. In the wake of their previous president, Russel Moore's departure from the SBC's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), Onenewsnow.com reported McFarland offered to fill the position pro-bono. "I would like to give back to the denomination that invested itself in me. It will not cost the SBC a penny, and I can virtually guarantee giving to the Cooperative Program will go...

Rwandan immigrant suspected of killing French priest who sheltered himPARIS, Aug 9 (Reuters) - A Rwandan immigrant walked into French police station on Monday and said he had murdered the Catholic priest giving him shelter while he awaited possible trial over a fire at a cathedral last year, official sources said. The 40-year-old surrendered himself in the mid-morning, a source familiar with the investigation said. Shortly afterwards, police found the priest's body in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sevre, in the Vendee region."All my support to Catholics in our country after the dramatic killing of a priest in the Vendee. I'm headed there," Interior Minister Gerald...

Two women’s volleyball coaches at the University of Oklahoma argue in a legal motion that they have the right to discipline players for their political beliefs. Player Kylee McLaughlin sued coaches Lindsey and Kyle Walton along with the OU Board of Regents earlier this year, alleging “she had been excluded from the team […] over her politically conservative views.” The OU Daily reported that McLaughlin, the OU team captain and first team All-Big 12 selection in 2018 and 2019, had made comments that “at least one” of her teammates considered “racist” following a team viewing of the Netflix documentary “13th.”...

Remember last summer? When Dr. Anthony Fauci and public health experts told us that nationwide protests and riots were required because systemic racism was a more significant public health threat than COVID-19? However, if you protested lockdown orders because it was killing your small business or you attended a Trump rally, you were killing grandma? So much science. To this day, the media tells us that the protests and riots with thousands of people in the streets were not a source of transmission for COVID-19. Then everyone freaked out over the annual Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota. Governor Kristi Noem...

"Resist. They can’t arrest us all. They can’t keep all your kids home from school. They can’t keep every government building closed – although I’ve got a long list of ones they should. We don’t have to accept the mandates, lockdowns, and harmful policies of the petty tyrants and feckless bureaucrats. We can simply say no, not again. Speaker Nancy Pelosi — you will not arrest or stop me or anyone on my staff from doing our jobs. We have all either had COVID, had the vaccine, or been offered the vaccine. We will make our own health choices. We will...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not ruling out challenging Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer — a 22-year Senate vet and stalwart member of the “moderate” wing of the Democratic Party — in a primary next year. When the progressive “democratic socialist,” who represents The Bronx and Queens, was asked by CNN’s Dana Bash if she is considering a campaign against her fellow New Yorker, AOC said she had not seriously considered it but also left the door open for a challenge. “I know it drives everybody nuts. But the way that I really feel about this, and the way that I...

It's been a rough summer for generals in Cuba. They are dropping like flies, as we see in this report:Over just nine days this month, Cuban state media announced the deaths of five generals, sparking a wave of discussion and rampant speculation among analysts and exiles. The senior military leaders all appear to have died between July 17 and 26. Some were serving and others retired, but all had lauded military careers. The youngest was 58. Most were in their 70s or 80s. It is not clear what caused the deaths, and there is no indication they were related. The deaths of...

In California, Democrats are getting alarmed.Their fair-haired boy, Gov. Gavin Newsom, once the great hope of the Democrat party, is losing momentum fast on his recall referendum. He's put out hysterical ads denouncing the recall as a white-supremacist plot, and a dread Republican-led takeover. He's studiously ignoring, or now lamenting things like California's homeless crisis, its monster lockdowns, its failing schools, its powerful teachers unions, its illegals surge, its mismanaged unemployment benefits, its residents fleeing, and other malfeasance, saying it's just Republicans on the loose. But these ads don't seem to be working well for him. Polls show that plainspoken common-sense...

We’ve been getting two messages from the Biden administration: First, our border is open to all comers, something that has seen the third world pouring into America. Second, all Americans must be vaccinated or lose their civil rights and wear mandatory masks. That’s the way, leftists say, to end COVID in America. Americans, however, have noticed that the millions of illegal aliens Biden is shipping across America are neither vaccinated nor masked and that many are bringing COVID and other diseases with them. The media, having caught Americans thinking independently, have responded with a coordinated attack: There is no –...

'The only thing worse than a liar is a liar that's also a hypocrite,' said Tennessee Williams. The great American playwright wasn't talking specifically about New York Governor Andrew Cuomo – but he might as well have been. Because, to borrow Olympic parlance as the Tokyo Games end, the fork-tongued, disingenuous, duplicitous, charlatan sleazeball has soared to Gold-medal levels of lying and hypocrisy.
