Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not ruling out challenging Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer — a 22-year Senate vet and stalwart member of the “moderate” wing of the Democratic Party — in a primary next year.
When the progressive “democratic socialist,” who represents The Bronx and Queens, was asked by CNN’s Dana Bash if she is considering a campaign against her fellow New Yorker, AOC said she had not seriously considered it but also left the door open for a challenge.
“I know it drives everybody nuts. But the way that I really feel about this, and the way that I really approach my politics and my political career is that I do not look at things and I do not set my course positionally,” she said in the late June interview that is set to air in full Monday night as part of CNN’s new series “Being …”

New York is losing a congressional seat based on the 2020 census. When they redistrict the state, what if her current district is divided among others, and she has to run in a new district? And, suppose she finds she would end up running against another current Democrat member of Congress in a primary, to stay in Congress? If that happens, she might decide to go for broke and challenge Schumer for the Senate seat.
Stranger things have happened in the land of Rats.
I predict a Scmuckie threat will be issued in the very near future.
What a race that would be! The best part is that ONE of the two would lose, and be out of office for a few weeks, until the dem party rewards him/her with a plum job.

She has ticked off many old school rats, and they are the ones who carve up the districts.

That’s what I was thinking, that her current district may be eliminated with pieces of her current district attached to other districts. Then she would be odd man out, in trying to stay in Congress in the House.
Are you sure Senator or even President is an important nd powerful enough position for her?even tyrannical dictators have not had enough power and influence to apply “real Socialism”. Obviously she needs a position even more powerful than that to force us to follow her sacred vision of how everything she be run...for our own good of course, as we are just unenlightened short sighted Neanderthals. Maybe “Democratic Sicialism” is the answer...where we all elect people to force us to live like slaves under them instead of slavery being forced on us...for our own good of course.
