The coronavirus is disrupting Disney (DIS) and its upcoming slate of blockbusters. The media giant spent a reported $200 million on its live-action remake of “Mulan” — the priciest live-action film for the company. But its box office performance is now unclear, as its intended March 27th release date has been postponed in China due to the coronavirus. The film is the latest victim of the outbreak, which is disrupting global demand, supply chains — and now movie-watching in the world’s second largest economy. “China can represent a huge percentage of a film’s international and global box office revenue, so...

Many Americans were offended by Sen. Bernie Sanders’s recent praise of Fidel Castro. Perhaps gratitude is in order instead. By candidly sharing his opinion of Cuba, Mr. Sanders exposes the depth of his socialist views. Mr. Sanders’s enthusiastic support for the Socialist Workers Party in the 1980s is well documented, as is his endorsement of Castro and Nicaraguan Sandinista Daniel Ortega, both of whom were Soviet pawns during the Cold War. On CBS’s “60 Minutes” on Feb. 23 we learned that Bernie’s ideology hasn’t changed much since he was advocating for tyranny in his youth. Interviewer Anderson Cooper played a...

Many Republicans across the state intend to vote in the Democrat primary on Super Tuesday, with the majority voting for Bernie Sanders. They believe he would not only be the most likely candidate for President Trump to beat in Virginia, Bernie would also be the most harmful to Democrat candidates down-ballot, in particular, the new Democrat Congresswomen in our 2nd and 5th Congressional districts. They would be impacted negatively by a Trump win in Virginia and give Republicans a chance to reclaim those seats....Earlier today I asked Christ Marston, Legal Counsel of the Republican Party of Virginia, what the consequences...

The Texas Department of State Health Services is urging those who recently visited the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo to go get checked out by a doctor. According to officials, rodeo visitors could have been exposed to rabies after an animal on the grounds contracted the disease. A student from Miller Grove ISD in Hopkins County was showing an infected solid black Brangus heifer between Feb. 11-14 that public health officials said was capable of spreading the virus. The warning states that the cow was only outside of the barn during transportation and while being shown. DHS has been...

The Australian Strategic Policy Institute said this was the next phase in China's re-education of Uighurs. China has already detained about a million Uighurs at internment camps, punishing and indoctrinating them. Officials say the camps are aimed at countering extremism. The ASPI report comes after a senior Chinese official told reporters in December that members of the minority group being held in the camps had now "graduated". What does the report say? Between 2017 and 2019, the ASPI think tank estimates that more than 80,000 Uighurs were transferred out of the far western Xinjiang autonomous region to work in factories...

Nineteen Syrian soldiers have been killed in Turkish drone strikes on Idlib, a UK-based monitor has said. ... Turkey also shot down two Syrian fighter jets on Sunday. Russia, a key backer of the Syrian government, has warned it cannot guarantee the safety of Turkish aircraft in Syrian airspace. Tensions in Idlib escalated sharply last week when at least 33 Turkish soldiers were killed in an air strike. The pilots of the two Syrian jets brought down on Sunday parachuted to safety over Idlib province, where Turkish troops and rebels have been clashing with Syrian government forces. Syria, meanwhile, announced...

Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel opened an e-mail on his cellphone Monday afternoon and smiled. Up popped a picture of a box that had just been placed inside a refrigerated truck bound for Bethesda, Md. The package held a few hundred vials, each containing an experimental vaccine for the new coronavirus, manufactured at the Cambridge biotech’s $130 million plant in Norwood. A mere 42 days. That’s how long it had taken the high-flying biotech to produce the shipment after receiving the genetic sequence of the virus that causes the Covid-19 illness. The Maryland-based National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, or...

WASHINGTON, NOV. 20, 2021: When Bernie Sanders won the presidential election in a squeaker last year, progressive Jews enthused that a glorious new era in American Judaism had dawned. Synagogues in Park Slope and on the Upper West Side took turns hosting thought leaders such as Peter Beinart (author of “The Crisis of Zionism”) and Max Blumenthal (“Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel”) to explain how American Jews were heading into a “post-Israel” era — and why that was a good thing. Lefty rabbis published lengthy Facebook posts about how mainstream and center-right Jewish organizations are all actually racist...

A top U.S. health official said officials are starting to see community transmission of COVID-19 coronavirus cases in United States as the number of countrywide cases has risen to 72 as of Sunday. Dr. Anthony Fauci, a member of the White House coronavirus task force, explained on Sunday that there has been an increase in cases of the virus that cannot be traced to anyone. This is in contrast to previous cases, where patients had a connection to an infected person from a hard-hit area such as China or the Diamond Princess cruise ship held off Japan. While it’s not...

The U.S. Navy has sent an apparent warning to China that it better stop harassing American service members, following an incident in which a Chinese warship aimed a military-grade laser at a Navy P-8A Poseidon surveillance plane. “You don’t want to play laser tag with us,” the Navy posted on its official Instagram account on Feb. 28. The incident happened on Feb. 17 in international airspace over the Pacific Ocean about 400 miles west of Guam, a U.S. territory, according to the military. “The laser, which was not visible to the naked eye, was captured by a sensor on board...

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - Nashville is hemorrhaging police officers at a time when more are needed than ever before. That’s according to the union president who says the problem has become a major public safety concern. “Even if we were fully staffed today, we would not have enough officers,” said fraternal order of police president James Smallwood. 42 officers recently graduated from Nashville’s police academy. In a few months, the graduates will be out on the streets, risking their lives, to keep the city safe. “I’m just proud to be doing the job I’m going to be doing,” said officer...

Hip-hop heavyweight Flavor Flav slapped Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders with a cease-and-desist letter for claiming that Flav’s group, Public Enemy, would be performing at a Sunday rally in Los Angeles — arguing that only Chuck D will take the stage, according to reports. “Sanders has promised to ‘Fight the Power’ with hip hop icons Public Enemy — but this Rap Icon will not be performing at the Sanders Rally,” read the letter, obtained by Spin and sent through Flav’s lawyer, Matthew H. Friedman. “To be clear Flav and, by extension, the [Rock and Roll] hip hop act Public Enemy with...

Do you remember Peggy Joseph? She was the young voter who heard candidate Barack Obama speak in 2008 then said on camera, “I won’t have to worry about puttin’ gas in my car, I won’t have to worry about payin’ my mortgage.”By 2013, Joseph’s tone had turned dramatically. She was asked by filmmaker Joel Gilbert, “Did Obama pay for your mortgage and did he pay for your gas?”She responded with a laugh: “Absolutely not! Mortgage got worse and gas prices got higher … At that time we needed a change but a change for the better not the worse.”In her mind,...

Q is the result of the sacrifices and commitment of countless patriots to win back our captured country from the Deep State and achieve the transformation President Trump promised in this campaign video. President Trump has said the awakening of the public is key to this transformation.Q describes this awakening as follows: "The Great Awakening ('Freedom of Thought’), was designed and created not only as a backchannel to the public (away from the longstanding ‘mind’ control of the corrupt & heavily biased media) to endure future events through transparency and regeneration of individual thought (breaking the chains of ‘group-think’), but,...

Kamala Harris’s Catholic Problem It will come up again, should she be chosen as a running mate. “Perhaps the deepest and most troubling mystery of Kamala Harris’s tenure as a prosecutor centers on the disturbing issue of sexual abuse of children by priests,” writes Peter Schweizer in Profiles in Corruption. As a senator, Harris has been a loud critic of those who protect “predators” — a rich charge, given her woefully negligent record as district attorney of San Francisco and attorney general of California, notes Schweizer: “During her decade-and-a-half tenure as a chief prosecutor, Harris would fail to prosecute a...
