2016 Election: Bob Shrum Fails to Credit Himself for Hillary Overconfidence

The Eddie Mush of politics, Bob Shrum, has written an article in the October 19 America magazine attempting to explain how Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election. Among the big reasons Shrum cites was overconfidence to the extent that the Hillary campaign declined to even poll the battleground states in the final weeks of the election. Shrum rather incompletely attributes her overconfidence to a heavy reliance upon data analytics without mentioning that it was also probably due to almost all media pundits, including a certain someone very familiar to the author, predicting an absolutely certain Hillary victory:

How did she lose? Bob Shrum on Hillary Clinton and the 2016 election

America the Jesuit Review ^ | October 19, 2017 | Robert M. Shrum
In contrast to Hillary Rodham Clinton’s earlier politically engineered writings, carefully combed for coming campaigns, this is a real book, written by a real person, suffused with the raw wounds of her defeat. It is marked by the bluntness and occasional tartness of someone who seems to know that her future as a candidate is past. What Happened is also marred by an apparently irrepressible instinct to accept blame and then to pass it on. I understand the frustration. As a close adviser to Al Gore during his presidential campaign in 2000, I saw him win the popular vote, have...

Hillary Clinton has blamed her election loss to Donald Trump on pretty much everyone and every thing — most recently telling CNN's Fareeed Zaharia that sexism kept her from shattering America's ultimate glass ceiling. It's the latest attempt by the former Secretary of State and two-time presidential loser to recast her 2016 loss, so we decided to compile all the reasons Clinton has given for why Donald Trump is sitting in the Oval Office instead of her: Sexism Barack Obama Bernie Sanders James Comey Self-Hating Women The Media Uninformed Voters Voter Suppression Russia Her Campaign Staff The Democratic National Committee...

Between 2010 and 2016, 8.1 million new immigrants settled in the United States. New arrivals are offset by the roughly 300,000 immigrants who return home each year and annual natural mortality of about 300,000 among the existing foreign-born population.

(2016) Robert De Niro on His Connection to the Malaysian Corruption Scandal: "I Don't Give a Sh**"

The actor — whose Tribeca Film Institute took a donation from those accused of embezzlement, while his son sold the prime suspect $55 million in NYC real estate — says he would give back the money if necessary. Leonardo DiCaprio is undoubtedly the highest-profile Hollywood name connected to the 1MDB Malaysian corruption scandal, which, in addition to more than a billion dollars of alleged money laundering, helped to finance his hit drama The Wolf of Wall Street. But another A-list name has appeared several times in the same orbit as the central figures in the fraud case, which is now...

Rezaei urges Trump to recall 2016 Farsi Island incidentTEHRAN, Oct. 12 (MNA) – A former commander of the Iran Revolutionary Guards Corps waned US President Trump not to forget 2016 Farsi Island incident, noting “your dreams will not come true.” Secretary of the Expediency Council and former IRGC Commander Mohsen Rezaee posted Thursday in his Twitter account and responded to the US threat to place the name of IRGC in the list of terrorist groups. “Have you forgotten what happened to the US sailors encroaching on Iranian territory in Farsi Island last year? Your dreams will not come true,” he...

North Korea imported $666 million worth of luxury items last year, which takes up 17.9 percent of the year’s total imports, a lawmaker here said Thursday. According to data from the Chinese Customs revealed by Rep. Yoon Sang-hyun of the Liberty Korea Party, the communist state’s imports of luxury goods increased by $59 million, or 9.8 percent, from 2015. The luxury goods included upmarket electronics, cars, leather products and watches. Electronics made up the biggest import value at $330 million, followed by high-end cars with $260 million. The reclusive state also imported some $16 million worth of liquor and drinks....

Brad Parscale: Trump Won After Facebook Employees Taught 2016 Campaign Workers To Micro-Target Ads

Brad Parscale told 60 Minutes that Facebook employees worked right alongside the Trump 2016 campaign workers to help President Donald Trump win the presidency. Parscale is Trump’s digital director – and as seen in the below 60 Minutes video, Brad called Facebook the “500-pound gorilla,” taking up 80 percent of the digital budget. Meanwhile, people on Facebook and Twitter are calling it troubling that Parscale spoke of micro-targeted Facebook ads that helped Trump win the presidency. Especially troubling to folks unfamiliar with social media strategizing is the notion that Facebook employees were “embedded” in the Trump 2016 campaign, according to...

Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein will be hosting a star-studded fundraiser for Hillary Clinton on Monday night in New York City. The Democratic donor, who owns the Hamptons house next door to the $50,000-a-week vacation home the Clintons rented last summer, has already maxed out to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and contributed up to $250,000 to the Clinton Foundation. His latest favor for his Hamptons pal will be hosting the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, and climate change hero Leonardo DiCaprio at his Manhattan home for a fundraiser benefitting the Hillary Victory Fund, according to the...

Remember all those hilarious online liberal meltdown videos you laughed at just after the unthinkable (for them) happened on Election Day 2016? Well, good news. We are in for more such laughs provided in melodramatic literary form from novelist and yuuuge Hillary Clinton supporter, Cheryl Strayed. She tells us about her post-election meltdown that was so severe that it sent her to bed crying for an extended period as she reveals in her Time magazine story today:

I just want to remind others that exactly one year ago today, the Obama administration moved to dismiss charges against an arms dealer involved in charges of selling weapons that were destined for Libyan rebels. The deal averted a trial that threatened to cast scrutiny on Hillary Clinton’s private emails as Secretary of State, and to expose reported Central Intelligence Agency attempts to arm rebels fighting Libyan leader Moammar Qadhafi. Today Hillary Clinton used twitter to blame the NRA for last night's mass shooting of participants at a Country Music concert in front of the Mandalay Bay Las Vegas. She...

A New Book Reveals The Truth About The 2016 Presidential Election

The Russia Investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the Deep State has taken over the identity of this Country. It has cost taxpayer money, it has shamed our Country, and it has taken up precious time we simply do not have. You could liken this investigation into a fake story to a petty rumor mill in your local high school. If one teen does not become prom princess, she starts a rumor on the one who does. The jealous little loser spreads the rumor all over the Internet until the actual winner can no longer enjoy her victory. Her...

Justice Ginsburg: Sexism A ‘Major Factor’ In Hillary’s 2016 Loss

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg gave an interview to CBS News’ Charlie Rose Tuesday in which she said sexism was a “major factor” in Hillary’s 2016 loss.Asked when she believes a woman will be president, Ginsburg replied, “Well, we came pretty close.” “You think sexism played a role in that campaign?” Charlie Rose asked. Ginsburg replied, “I have no doubt that it did.” At this point, the crowd breaks into applause. They aren’t applauding sexism, of course, they are applauding a Supreme Court Justice siding with Hillary Clinton and therefore implicitly criticizing President Trump. Asked if sexism was decisive in...

Jeh Johnson: The 2016 election wasn't hacked

Jeh Johnson told lawmakers Thursday he's unaware of any evidence showing cyberattacks affected voting in the 2016 presidential election. But, the former secretary of homeland security said it's a concerning possibility. "The integrity of our election outcomes on a national level dances on the head of a pin," he told an election security task force assembled by congressional Democrats. "If writers of the TV series ‘House of Cards' can figure that out, then a lot of other people can do the same."

Tuesday night in an interview with CBS’s Charlie Rose, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said there was “no doubt” sexism played a role in former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s loss. When asked if sexism played a role in 2016 Ginsburg said, “I have no doubt that it did.” When asked if it was “decisive,” Ginsburg added, “There are so many things that might have been decisive, but that was a major, major factor.”

Rose then asked if Ginsburg believed the role of sexism was “decisive” in Hillary Clinton’s loss–that is, if Clinton were a man, would she have won the election? “There are so many things…there’s so many things that might have been decisive,” she hedged. “But that was a major, major factor.” Ginsburg’s responses echo those of Clinton, who has many times blamed sexism for her defeat at the hands of President Donald Trump.

OBAMA INVITES INCITERS OF COP-KILLERS TO THE WHITE HOUSE [2016]

The day after lecturing mourning Dallas police about how racist they are, President Obama hosted leaders of the virulently racist Black Lives Matter movement at the White House. Black Lives Matter, which is funded by hedge fund manager George Soros, is not merely a political movement: it's a Marxist, anti-American, revolutionary cult whose members aim to unleash a reign of terror on our society. They celebrate when police officers are killed in the line of duty. They don't want equality; they demand that black Americans receive special, preferential treatment. Disagree and they'll howl you're a racist, boycott your business, or...

FULL TITLE | Hillary Clinton Spent 600 Hours on Her Beauty Routine in 2016: 'I Was So Shocked, I Checked the Math Twice' During last year’s presidential campaign, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was under constant scrutiny for every move she made in the public eye, and as a female candidate it frequently was her physical appearance that made headlines rather than her political stance. Clinton candidly details her experience on the campaign trail in her new memoir, What Happened, and her beauty routine is not something she overlooked. “I’ve never gotten used to how much effort it takes just to...
