My lack of faith, of sins committed, of slothfulness, of lying to You, to myself, and to others by omission. Of watching occult practices and not exposing them or rebuking them or turning away. Of giving up and no longer really caring what happens to others as long as my comforts are not affected. Of unseemly rage and anger at the onslaught of filth in our lives, our schools, our churches, our neighborhoods, our streets, our media, and our government.
This is the self-pity of our guilty conscience. We deserve what we are receiving, but ask for Your mercy.
We, and this our nation, deserve Hell, but are requesting Your forgiveness and mercy yet once again. And we are not even repenting and renouncing and calling these things and actions out: which we must do. God forgive us.
We are in agony, Lord God. We watch, aghast, at the actions of a man whom we have been told is the leader of our country who is obviously being used and controlled, signing whatever is in front of him. Of the women who, like Jezebel did King Ahab, keep him in a plush cocoon of comfort, using him as a figurehead to strip away our God-given rights, and pushing us further into slavery. And yet we deserve this. Is it too late for us, Lord God, or may we have more time, another chance. . .

The words come to my mind now "water my couch with my tears". . . It is a Psalm, I know it is, which one is it . . . here, there it is. It is the sixth Psalm of David, second King of Israel. Verse 6.
Here is the whole Psalm:
Psalms Chapter 6
To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.
1 O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. 3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies’ sake. 5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. 9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.

Dear Lord God, have mercy and remove our enemies. Let them be saved; but if they are reprobate, please God remove them now, and let Your people, followers of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to stand up to take responsibility in the government, for Your glory and kingdom. And use these persons as a portion of the laborers pushed out into Your vinyard, for Your harvest of souls according to Matthew 9:38.
