You may have one you may have many, the more the merrier!
If there was any a time in the history of these United States, where the preserved word of God, is
sorely needed, it is in these days. This thread is not intended to be a place where all the KJV
critics come to debate on why they don't believe Almighty God can preserve his word, (If you don't
believe God can preserve His own word for all eternity, then how can you possible believe He can preserve
your soul for all eternity?) instead this thread is intended to be a place where people who still believe:
Psalm 12:6
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnance of earth, purified seven times.
can come and post their favorite KJV Bible verses, no commentary needed, but if you want to give a testimony
as to why a particular verse is one of your favorites, please do so.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Luke 23:42-43 “Remember me when you enter your kingdom.” “Surely this day you will be with me in paradise.”
John 19:30 - When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
And some of the King James Bibles have been ‘modernized’.
And ‘light’ is a spiritual thing as is spiritual ‘darkness’.
But ‘light’ and ‘darkness’ are routinely purged from modern versions.
Submareener has some amazing news to share. Keeps it in profile.
I was skeptical at first. But it's compelling.
Mark 16
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
[But if anyone makes a parlor game of such trials that is tempting the Lord thy God.]
Psalm 4:8 got me through many a rough night as a small child:
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
“for the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.” ~2 Chronicles 30:9b (NKJV)~
Isaiah 12 King James Version (KJV)
1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
I will lift up mine yes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help
My help cometh from the Lord.....Psalms 121
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:15-16
Psalm 37:3-5
Trust in the Lord and do good so shalt thou dwell in the Lord and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.
That is my first, favorite passage of scripture. There’s a story and testimony about why but several other people have already posted scriptures which became favorites as i grew in Christ.
I like the vanity plate idea! I dont think we are allowed that many letters in Texas tho. Too bad.
I'll add an AMEN to that!
Me too!
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
I couldn't resist repeating your verse :)
A verse that constantly strengthens my soul if I am willing to trust God to His purpose.
