Isaiah 12 King James Version (KJV)
1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
Isaiah 12:1
And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
Amen!
Before I received God's sacrificial, substituting death on the cross for my sins He was angry with me, but now that I trust Jesus Christ as Savior and accept the fact, that the work that He did for me, I could never do for myself, He brought me out from under the curse and into God's eternal blessing. His anger is turned away, and He comforts me. I can go directly to Jesus anytime, on any day, and He will give me His peace and joy.
God's preserved word says, that He is angry with the wicked every day.
Psalms 7:11
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
When I was lost a lost sinner, God was angry with me every day, and why shouldn't He be? He provided me a way of escape from that wicked lifestyle, and I refused to go His way. I said to myself, "Oh, I'm different, I will get away with what I'm doing, God could careless, and even if He does care, what can He do about it?" I found out the hard way, just how much He cared, and how much He could actually do about it.
But once I received His free gift of Biblical Salvation, He brought me from where I was, lost in sin, to a whole other place. He brought me from being cursed, to being blessed.
And isn't that the way it is with the Salvation God provides? Biblical Salvation brought Israel out from hard bondage, into the promised land, Biblical Salvation brought Jonah out of the belly of the whale, Biblical Salvation brought brought Daniel out of the lion's den, it brought Meshach, Shadrach and Abendago out of the fiery furnace. It brought Paul out of a lost condition. Biblical Salvation brought this lost sinner out of darkness, and into His marvelous light. Praise the Lord!
Exodus 14:13
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
Again thanks for the post, and I hope to give more testimony about the rest of the passage at some other time.
