Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Thank you for your reply and for posting your favorite KJV Bible verse.

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

This verse has spoken to me on more than one occasion. Waiting on God is not easy for me, in fact some times, it's quite frustrating to wait upon God for direction in life, and His guidance on a day by day basis.

However, before I became a Christian I thought I'd never be weak, and I'd never wait upon God for anything. My "modus operandi" was to force my will upon people and situations, in order to influence the behavior of individuals, and to direct the course of my life . In doing so, I caused a great deal of damage, pain and heartache to myself and to others. After many years of this "self-will run riot", and cracking my skull up against that brick wall, I finally surrendered my life to Jesus Christ, and His preserved word.

Today I believe that waiting upon the LORD, and the renewing of my strength, walk together as one, just as the Old and New Testament in God's preserved word walk together as one.

Amos 3:3
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

Today, there could be a whole lot less anxiety, dismay and distress in life, by waiting upon the LORD, and having strength renewed. As a lost sinner I didn't do that, it was only when the Holy Ghost came to live in me, and convicted me of sin, that I fully turned my will over to God. And from that point, God enabled me to learn 'longsuffering' as He mounted me up with wings as eagles, to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint.

May the Lord bless you and yours.
