It is not as totally bleak as it looks. I read the article. I am not sure who said the prayer, but it was said in Turkish, so most of the people attending the service didn't understand what was being said.

Still, obviously there is a problem with inviting a Muslim into the pulpit of the cathedral in the first place to voice a prayer to Allah. The assumption is that the God of Christians and Jews is one and the same as Allah, so it is "all good". Nevermind that Muslims would never allow Jews and Christians to pray to their God in their mosques because they don't think we worship the same god. But being “open-minded”, “tolerant”, and politically correct, the powers that be had no problem with allowing the prayer.

Whenever I think of the world leaders and their blatant rejection of truth, I always think of Psalms 2. Allah, the moon god of the Quresh tribe is a singular entity and not the God of the Bible. He is unknowable and "has no son". To say so is blasphemy in a Muslim's eyes. Allah demands the death of all his followers in Jihad for a virgin filled paradise. The God of the Bible is 3 in 1 (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and sends his one and only Son to die for his people to reconcile us to himself.

Anglicans are the Church of England.

The Episcopal church started in America after the Revolutionary War as a split from the Church of England. Episcopalians are generally very liberal theologically.

There are some conservative Anglican parishes in America who have linked up with conservative Bible believing dioceses including some from Africa where they still believe in the word of God.
