Catholic Prophecy
THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: Sit down my readers, grab a cup of tea and I'll tell you a story about your future. Actually it's our future, and the future of our children, and their children. You'll want to pay close attention, because if you're under the age of fifty, you're likely to see these events transpire within your lifetime.
If you've been watching the news lately, you've probably noticed that it seems like the world is going to hell in a hand basket. Well, you're a very perceptive person, because it truly is. You see the bad news is that for the short term, things are only going to get worse, much worse. Oh sure, we'll probably have some brief respites when things settle down a bit, but they'll be followed by calamities even worse. I'm talking about the man-made kind actually, not the natural disasters, as we have always had those. I'm talking about such man-made disasters as economic crisis, civil unrest, wars and famine. You're probably wondering what went wrong? Why is the world so screwed up? What ever happened to the good ol' days?
Well, let me lay this out for you in very simple terms. The good ol' days ended a long time ago, long before any of us were born, and long before anyone alive today can remember. Would it surprise you to learn that our time was prophesied centuries ago with alarming accuracy? Here, let me give you an example...
After the year 1900, toward the middle of the 20th century, the people of that time will become unrecognisable. When the time for the Advent of the Antichrist approaches, peoples minds will grow cloudy from carnal passions, and dishonour and lawlessness will grow stronger. Then the world will become unrecognisable. Peoples appearances will change, and it will be impossible to distinguish men from women due to there shamelessness in dress and style of hair. These people will be cruel and will be like wild animals because of the temptations of the Antichrist. There will be no respect for parents or elders, love will disappear, and Christian pastors, bishops, and priests will become vain men, completely failing to distinguish the right hand way from the left. At that time the morals and traditions of Christians and the Church will change. People will abandon modesty, and dissipation will reign. Falsehood and greed will attain great proportions, and woe to those who pile up treasures. Lust, adultery, homosexuality, secret deeds and murder will rule in society.
I bet that got your attention! A man writing some 1,600 years ago accurately predicted our present age down to the half century. He states that this change in humanity will begin around the middle of the 20th century, and then he goes on to accurately describe the change in vivid detail. Sure enough, during the 1960s (about the middle of the 20th century) the whole Western World underwent the a change that has been called the "sexual revolution," which radically altered our lives, habits, fashions, and appearances. About the same time the crime rate skyrocketed, just as the early medieval prophet foretold so many centuries ago.
You'll notice in St. Nilus' prophecy a reference to Antichrist. Now I should point out here that Nilus did not say the Antichrist would come in the 20th century, nor in the 21st century. He specifically said "when the time for the advent of the Antichrist approaches." In other words, when it is getting close to that time, but not necessarily the actual time itself. That's important to remember, because our Evangelical Christian friends (God love 'em) actually believe the time of the Antichrist is here, and he'll make is presence known any day now. Of course a lot of them believe they're going to be "raptured" as well, in a supernatural event that will snatch them out of this world so they will not have to endure the temptations of Antichrist. Now, that's a pleasant thought, but totally unbiblical. The early Church Fathers, those Christians who lived closest to the Apostolic age, knew nothing of this "rapture" as it is commonly taught, that is allegedly supposed to spare modern day Evangelicals from the same kind of hardship endured by the early Christians under the Roman persecutions. It's no matter though, because in a very short time Evangelicalism will no longer exist. For that matter, neither will any Protestant denomination or sect. All of the pluralism we see in Christianity today will soon be extinct.
Now comes the journey. I hope you're comfortable, because I'm about to reveal something to you that very few Christians today know, but was once common knowledge back in the early days of the Church. It all centers around the time period leading up to the Antichrist, and in order to understand the Antichrist, we must first understand the centuries leading up to it, of which the 20th century marked the first. We are now in the second - the 21st century. What I don't know is how many centuries we have left to go. What I do know is the time is short, and there are not many centuries left, but the one we currently live in will by far be the most interesting, the most terrifying and the most wonderful. Are you sitting down?
And after these shall arise Antichrist and having by the signs and lying wonders of his magical deceit, beguiled the Jews as though he were the expected Christ, he shall afterwards characterize himself by all kinds of excesses of cruelty and lawlessness
and he shall perpetrate such things for 3 years and 6 months
"Antichrist will exceed in malice, perversity, lust, wickedness, impiety, and ruthlessness and barbarity all men that have ever disgraced human nature. Hence St. Paul emphatically calls him `the man of sin the son of perdition, the wicked one, whose birth and coming is through the operation of Satan, in all manner of seduction and iniquity.' (2 Thess., 2). Through his great power, deceit and malice he shall succeed in decoying or forcing to his worship two thirds of mankind; the remaining third part of men will continue true to the faith and worship of Jesus Christ most steadfastly. But in his satanic rage and fury, Antichrist will persecute these brave and devout Christians during three years and a half, and torture them with such an extremity of barbarity, with all the old and newly invented instruments of pain, as to exceed all past persecutors of the Church combined. He will oblige all his followers to bear impressed upon their foreheads or right hands the mark of the Beast and will starve to death all those who refuse to receive it."
This one shall seize the power of the Roman Empire and shall falsely style himself Christ. By the name Christ he shall deceive the Jews who are expecting the anointed and he shall seduce the Gentiles by his magical illusions.
-- St. Cyril of Jerusalem, 386 AD
Now as these writings get closer in proximity to the time of the Apostles, we can safely assume that what we are reading is not so much a mystical prediction of private revelation, as it is a faithful passing on of oral tradition from the Apostles themselves. A lot is said about the Antichrist by the early Church Fathers, and from this we learn a lot about him. We learn that he will deceive the Jews. From other contemporary writings we learn that he will be a Jew himself, born in the Middle East somewhere in present-day Iraq, and will come to power in the area we now call Israel. As a Jew he will deceive the Jewish people into believing he is the Messiah, and two-thirds of the world will follow him. We do not know how long his actual reign in Jerusalem will be, but it is suspected that he will reign for a fairly long time (perhaps decades), but it is the last 3 1/2 years of his reign that is most interesting. This is when he seizes control of the "Roman Empire." It is during this time he unleashes the most ferocious persecution of Christians the world has ever known, rivaling that of all the Roman emperors in ages past, and the Communists and Muslims to today. Let us understand something here. Many evil men have reigned over various territories in the past, and it is likely that many more evil men are to come, but just being "evil" is not what makes one the Antichrist. The word "Antichrist" is a biblical term. It has religious underpinnings and outside of religion it means nothing. The word "Antichrist" is the Greek rendering of a 1st century Jewish concept of the Anti-Messiah! The Anti-Messiah is a false Messiah, and to be sure, the Jews have seen many anti-messiahs in their history. However, this one foretold in Christian Scripture and Tradition is a special case. It is an Anti-Messiah (false Messiah) that is so convincing that he not only dupes almost all the Jews, but two-thirds of the world's population as well. Christian Scripture and Tradition tell us he doesn't act alone, but he is aided by none other than the devil himself. All of this is extremely important to remember, because if we are to properly understand the Antichrist, we must do so strictly in Jewish terms.
Now it is the last portion of St. Cyril's record that is of particular interest to us. He states the "this one" meaning Antichrist "shall seize the power of the Roman Empire." Now that is interesting since the Roman Empire ceased to exist some 1,500 years ago in the West and some 550 years ago in the East. Our Evangelical brethren, once again hot on the trail of a supposed present-day Antichrist, have pointed out the reunification of Europe under the European Union, and assume this must be the return of ancient Rome. Once again that's a quaint idea but in order to truly have an empire you must first have an emperor - a single monarch who's rule is absolute. Nothing like that exists today. St. Cyril tells us the Antichrist "shall seize the power of the Roman Empire," implying that he just takes it, as if it is not rightfully his to begin with. How then? How does a man steal some nonexistent thing, from somebody who clearly does not exist? The answer is simple. The emperor and empire still have yet to come...
The Great Gaulish Monarch, who shall subject all the East, shall come around the end of the world. These things, then, coming to pass, beloved, and the one week being divided into two parts, and the abomination of desolation being manifested then, and the two prophets and forerunners of the Lord having finished their course, and the whole world finally approaching the consummation, what remains but' the coming of our Lord and Saviour from heaven, for whom we have looked in hope? who shall bring the conflagration and just judgment upon all who have refused to believe on Him
"Christ arose from among the Hebrews, and he (Antichrist) will spring from among the Jews. Christ showed His flesh as a Temple, and raised it up on the third day; and he, too, will raise up again the Temple of stone in Jerusalem.
-- St. Hippolytus, 236 AD
You'll notice we're going further back in time now. This writing comes to us from the early third century, while Christians were still being thrown to lions under the Roman persecutions. St. Hippolytus' grandfather would have been old enough to remember the Apostle John. The teachings of the apostles about these things still would have been fresh in Church memory. The context is in reference to the Antichrist, and indeed these early Church fathers did preoccupy themselves with the Antichrist in many of their writings. Once again we learn a few new traits of this man of sin. It is however, the first sentence that is of most interest to us now. "
The Great Gaulish Monarch, who shall subject all the East, shall come around the end of the world." Notice the vague reference to time. He shall come "
around the end of the world." It's not at the end of the world, or even immediately before the end of the world, but "around" that time. So it is sometime in the centuries prior to the end of the world, and likewise the coming of Antichrist. According to St. Nilus' prophecy above about the end times beginning around the later half of the 20th century, that would put the coming of this "Great Gaulish Monarch" sometime in our immediate proximity. In case you're wondering, "Gaul" was what the ancient Romans called a certain portion of Western Europe. Today we call it France. In the centuries to follow, more Christians gave testimony to this tradition presumably coming from the Apostolic era...
A Frankish King will one day rule over the entire Roman Empire."
-- St. Augustine, 5th Century
He shall reign over the entire ancient Roman Empire."
-- Remy, 5th Century
Okay, so we now know that the early Christians believed there would one day come a French king who would rule over the entire Roman Empire, and that this will happen toward the end of the world, or more specifically in the centuries leading up to the time of Antichrist and the end of the world. We currently live in an age of Republics right now. Western monarchies are effectively neutered these days - little more than national figureheads. There is no Roman Empire to speak of, because there is no Roman emperor. Right now Europe is united as a loose confederacy of republics. There is no central figurehead, and there is not likely to be under the constitutional system now set up. So how can this happen? Another 4th century saint gives us a clue...
A time will come when the enemies of Christ will boast: "We have subjected the earth and all its inhabitants, and the Christians cannot escape our hands." Then a Roman Emperor will arise in great fury against them... Drawing his sword, he will fall upon the foes of Christianity and crush them. Then peace will reign on earth, and priests will be relieved of all their anxieties.
In the latter days of the world, Christians will become ungrateful for the great favours they will receive through the coming of the great Monarch, by reason of the long period of peace and prosperity on earth which they will enjoy under his reign. Many man will then begin to doubt if the Christian faith is the only really sanctifying faith and will think perhaps the Jews are right because they are awaiting the Messiah.
--St. Methodius of Olympus, 311 AD
Okay, so now we have a chronology. First a great time of trial for Christians comes. Then the Great French Monarch comes to save the day, putting down the enemies of Christianity. In turn however, because of the great peace he delivers that lasts a very long time, people will start to take it for granted. As a result there will be a great apostasy, eventually leading two-thirds of the world's population away from Christ, and resulting in the rise of Antichrist.
So now we have the big picture. The reason why the Antichrist will eventually be able to steal the power of the Roman Empire is because the Roman Empire is coming back. This time not as a Pagan system, but as the medieval Holy Roman Empire restored! Only after a long period of such rule will the Antichrist come and attempt to steal it away.
As we look around us, we can see that the fall of democratic republicanism in our time is inevitable now. The Socialist-Islamic (IslamoSocialist) alliance in Europe has successfully exploited the weakness of our democratic system, and the problem will only get worse in the years (or decades) ahead. That coupled with the moral decline and economic decline of the western world, signals the end of the American and European republics.
(Zenit.org) - On an official visit to Italy this week, the Libyan chief of state caused a few ripples by stating that Europe should convert to Islam. The general public was perhaps more shocked, however, by his request for a few billion dollars to stop African immigration.
However, a missionary priest did call for taking seriously Muammar al-Qadhafi's statements on religion, saying a European conversion to Islam just might happen if the continent continues denying its Christian roots.
Father Piero Gheddo of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions and founder of the missionary news agency AsiaNews, said that far from being "folklore," al-Qadhafi's summons could become a reality in a few decades....

(
CBN) Friday in Paris. A hidden camera shows streets blocked by huge crowds of Muslim worshippers and enforced by a private security force.
This is all illegal in France: the public worship, the blocked streets, and the private security. But the police have been ordered not to intervene.
It shows that even though some in the French government want to get tough with Muslims and ban the burqa, other parts of the French government continue to give Islam a privileged status.
An ordinary French citizen who has been watching the Islamization of Paris decided that the world needed to see what was happening to his city. He used a hidden camera to start
posting videos on YouTube. His life has been threatened and so he uses the alias of "Maxime Lepante."
The only counter to this IslamoSocialist infiltration is a healthy and robust Christianity - particularly CATHOLIC Christianity - as it is the only form of Christianity that abhors artificial birth control and has successfully repelled Islam in the past (in the crusades!). What these ancient prophecies tell us is another crusade is coming. It will be the last and final crusade - the mother of all crusades - that will deliver a death blow to the whole IslamoSocialist regime in Europe and the IslamoShariah system in the Middle East.
Before this can happen however, all of the Catholic prophecies and the teachings of the most ancient Church Fathers agree there must first be a crisis - a Chastisement of God - that will cause the present system of things to crumble. The Chastisement marks the last epic of human history, starting with a calamity that changes the world, resulting in the longest period of peace the world has ever known. It will be the last reign of Christian kings, with a Great Monarch ruling over a revived Holy Roman Empire, from Iberia to Siberia, that will far surpass everything that has previously existed. This will last for an unspecified amount of time. Catholic prophecies seem to indicate at least a couple centuries is likely. During the latter part of that time period the world will fall back into it's depraved state, and it is at that time the Antichrist will arise, steal the power of the revived Holy Roman Empire for himself and use it in an attempt to destroy the Church. He will nearly succeed before he is killed and sometime after that Jesus Christ will return to raise the dead and judge the nations. We are now living in the time just before the Chastisement.
We don't know much about the Chastisement, but this we do know...
- It is brought upon us by our worldwide sins against God ranging from artificial contraception to abortion to euthanasia, to sexual sins of various types (including homosexuality, adultery and fornication), as well as Socialism, Atheism, Hedonism and indifference toward the poor. To summarize, it is caused by our personal and cultural abandonment of the Christian gospel message.
- It consists of two parts. The first part is man-made, the second part is God-made.
- It begins with riots, civil unrest and war - particularly in Europe.
- It is marked by an event that causes the pope to flee Rome and eventually be assassinated while in exile.
- It results in the election of another pope (in exile) who crowns a new French king to save France from anarchy - this man later becomes the Great Monarch of the Holy Roman Empire.
- It ends with three-days of strange darkness that will cover the whole world, poison the air, and leave 2/3 to 3/4 of the world's population dead. The result of this ecological catastrophe leaves the enemies of the Great Monarch powerless to resist him.
- It concludes with the Great Monarch restoring the Holy Roman Empire and ruling the whole world. He abolishes all democratic republics and restores a system of monarchy over all the regions of the world. In total, twelve monarchs will rule the entire planet, under the direction of the Great Monarch. For Christians it will be the greatest time of peace and missionary outreach the world has ever known.
These seven events await our immediate future. They could come as soon as tomorrow, or possibly as late as thirty years from now, but they will come - most certainly!
The American republic is slowly dying and European democracy will soon fade away. According to the prophecies this Great Monarch is coming soon. Within our lifetime. I am sure of it....
Prophecies on the Rise of the Great Monarch
Rudolph Gekner, 17th Century: "His sword will be moved by Divine power..."
Monk Adso (10th Century): "Some of our teachers say that a King of the Franks will possess the entire Roman Empire. He will be the greatest and last of all Monarchs. After having wisely governed his kingdom, he will go into Jerusalem and will lay his sceptre and his crown upon the Mount of Olives. Immediately afterwards, Antichrist will come."
David Poreaus (17th Century): "The Great Monarch will be of French descent, large forehead, large dark eyes, light brown wavy hair, and an eagle nose. He will crush the enemies of the Pope and will conquer the East."
St. Francis of Paola (15th Century) "By the grace of the Almighty, the great Monarch will annihilate heretics and unbelievers. He will have a great army, and angels will fight at his side. He will be like the sun among the stars. His influence will spread over the whole earth. All in all, there will be on earth twelve Kings, one Emperor, one Pope, and a few Princes. They will all lead holy lives."
St. Augustine, 5th Century):" A Frankish King will one day rule over the entire Roman Empire."
Old Saxon prophecy: "He will come from the Fleur-de-Lis..."
St. Cataldus, 5th Century: "... a King of the House of Lilies..."
St. Caesar, 5th Century: "He shall recover the Crown of the Lilies....."
St. Hildegarde, German Abbess, 12th Century: "The White Flower again takes possession of the Throne of France."
Bishop Ageda, 12th Century: "He shall inherit the Crown of the Fleur-de-Lis"
Busto (15th Century): "The angelic Pope shall place an imperial crown on his head."
Remy (5th Century): "He shall reign over the entire ancient Roman Empire."
Aystinger: " ... by whom the ancient glory of the Empire shall be restored. He shall be Emperor of Europe."
St. Francis de Paola (15th Century): "(He and the Holy Pontiff) shall obtain dominion over the whole world.
Holzhauser: "He will restore everything."
St. Hildegarde:"Peace will return when the Lily ascends the Throne again. The land will be very productive."
St. Bridget: "And the earth shall enjoy peace and prosperity."
St. John-Mary Vianney, Cur of Ars (19th Century): "This shall re-establish a peace and prosperity without precedent."
(Old German prophecy): "He will be lame afoot ... "
(Anne-Catherine Emmerich, 19th Century): "God touched the sinew of his hip. He was in great pain and from that day on, he walked with a limp ... "
(Peasant Jasper, Germany): "This Prince shall mount his horse on the right-hand side, because he limps from one foot .... "
Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, July 12, 1820: "I had a vision of the holy Emperor Henry. I saw him at night kneeling alone at the foot of the main altar in a great and beautiful church . . . and I saw the Blessed Virgin coming down all alone. She laid on the altar a red cloth covered with white linen. She placed a book inlaid with precious stones. She lit the candles and the perpetual lamp . . . Then came down the Saviour Himself clad in priestly vestments. He was carrying the chalice and the veil. Two Angels were serving Him and two more were following . . . His chasuble was a full and heavy mantle in which red and white could be seen in transparency, and gleaming with jewels . . . Although there was no altar bell, the cruets were there. The wine was red as blood, and there was also some water. The Mass was short. The Gospel of St. John was not read at the end. When the Mass has ended, Mary came up to Henry (the Emperor), and she extended her right hand towards him, saying that it was in recognition of his purity. Then, she urged him not to falter. Thereupon I saw an angel, and he touched the sinew of his hip, like Jacob. He (Henry) was in great pain, and from that day on, he walked with a limp . . . "
The Catholic Knight laments the fall of the republics, but hails the return of the kings, particularly the great Christian king who will rule virtually all the world. Within our lifetimes we shall likely see him. Prepare yourselves, and prepare you children, for he will come, but only after a terrible Chastisement from God. If you would like to learn more about these events from one of the most reputable sources ever put to print, The Catholic Knight would like to invite you to read "Trial, Tribulation and Triumph" by Desmond Birch. There are many books written on the coming Chastisement and the following Tribulation of Antichrist, but none offer such a well researched, exhaustive and orderly presentation of APPROVED Catholic prophecy than this book by Desmond Birch. If you read anything about End Times eschatology, than this is a book that belongs in your library. There are many other books out there, but in the opinion of The Catholic Knight, this one is the BEST!

Some non-Catholic FReepers have wondered at the attachment of a certain segment of traditionalist Catholics to the idea of a return of Monarchy. I do not subscribe to that school of thought, but there is a robust body of Catholic prophecy from which these "Catholic Monarchists" draw inspiration and hope for the future.
This is one of the best summaries of their thinking on the matter and the prophecies that under-gird the continued presence of dyed in the wool monarchists even here in the USA. This author apparently lives in Missouri.

If you’ve never read the Catholic prophecies regarding the Great Monarch and the Great Pope who will precede Anti-Christ, this is worth taking a moment to consider, if for no other reason than to understand the worldview of some of our fellow Catholics who, even here in the USA, seem fixated on a return to Monarchy.
Me? I won’t do well in a Monarchy. I come from humble stock, and am too beholden to the American ideal that all are created equal.
To: Dr. Brian Kopp
I think you misunderstand Catholic monarchy. It does not violate the principle that all men are created equal. Don’t confuse ‘divine right monarchy’ (which is NOT a Catholic thing) with traditional Christian monarchy. A Christian monarch is expected to defend the rights and freedoms of his people. He’s a servant.

I am one of those Catholics of whom you speak. Thank you for posting this wonderful article.

(FrontPageMag.Com) - When the US-led coalition invaded Iraq in March 2003, few would have imagined that the move might lead to the formation of an alliance between the radical Left and hard-line Islamists in Western Europe. But this is precisely what happened.
In this month's election for a new European Parliament, voters in several European Union countries, notably France and Britain, are offered common lists of Islamist and leftist candidates, often hidden under bland labels.
Europe's moribund extreme Left has found a new lease on life thanks to hundreds of young Muslim militants recruited from the poor suburbs of Paris and the Islamic ghettos of northern England.
The Islamist groups, for their part, are learning many tricks from the Left about how to exploit the inevitable weaknesses of an open society...

THE CATHOLIC KNIGHT: We are all familiar of the Islamic
"enemy of my enemy is my friend" ideology. What you may not be familiar with is how well the Marxist world has adopted this ideology as it's own. Russian friendliness with radical Islamic regimes (such as Iran for example) is an old story going all the way back to the days of the Soviet Union. While this remains a continual threat today, the real danger at this time has little to do with the old communist state. The real danger is rising in Europe.
European Marxists, often called "Leftists" by many in the mainstream news media, are forging an alliance with Europe's rising Muslim population. The demonstrations (i.e. "riots") seen in the video above are just a small snapshot of what's going on all across Europe right now. Throughout the European Union, demonstrations can be witnessed in which typical Marxist anarchists can be seen rioting alongside Muslims in traditional Islamic attire.
Multiple demographic studies indicate that Muslims will become the European majority by 2050. In some European nations, this will happen much sooner, and Sweden is one of them. The possibility of a purely Islamic takeover of Europe is at least a couple decades away. However, when coupled with a Leftist alliance, a Muslim-Marxist revolution could happen much faster, perhaps even within a decade. Marxists (i.e. Leftists or Socialists) make up a much larger portion of European politics than typically seen in North America. In fact, most major political parties in Europe have to adopt socialist policies in order to appease the powerful Marxist influence over European politics. An alliance between radical Muslims and Marxists could (and probably will) prove fatal for Europe, and if given enough time, will probably present a significant security threat to North America as well.
This is where we are now. However, if you would like to know what the future holds, we need look no further than the sages and mystics of our Christian past. It turns out God has been warning us about our specific times since at least the early middle ages. There were many prophecies from Christian Saints and mystics that deal specifically with our time, and even more specifically with the Muslim-Marxist threat we now face. Yes, according to them, we are in the end times, but not yet in the last days. We have at least a few more generations to go before the final consummation of the age, the coming of Antichrist and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the mean time, this is what we can expect to happen in our generation....
- The Muslim-Marxist Alliance in Europe will grow and be highly successful. It will also enjoy success in other parts of the world as well. Marxists heretics within the Church will also prevail, driving the Church into chaos.
- The European Muslim-Marxist Alliance will eventually culminate in a violent revolution that will span the entire European continent. The prophesied "Chastisement" begins.
- The Vatican will be violently overrun by heretics, and the pope will be forced to flee Rome. He will eventually die in exile - assassinated! Some prophecies indicate a false pope (anti-pope) may be installed during his absence. One prophecy identifies this anti-pope as a Greek.
- God will intervene in the situation, with a supernatural disaster of some type.
- A new (and true) pope will be elected in exile, and he will revive the old French monarchy by crowning a Christian king against the will of the people of France. (Yes, the French royal family still exists, but it is unclear at this time who has right to the throne. Currently there are two valid pretenders. Though some prophets maintain that the line of succession will be unknown until the time comes.)
- The Muslim-Marxist revolution will be short lived, as this new Christian monarch fights back, and conquers Europe by military conquest, establishing a Christian Empire spanning from Madrid to Jerusalem - perhaps even larger - some say he will conquer the whole world. The prophesied "Chastisement" comes to conclusion. As much as 2/3 to 3/4 of the world population is dead.
- Russia will be converted back to Christianity en mass, and the Orthodox churches will be reunited with the Roman Catholic Church, and all non-Catholic (protestant, reformed, evangelical and fundamentalist) churches will cease to exist.
In the distant future, the following is foretold...
- A period of peace will follow (perhaps two or more centuries depending conditionally upon the faithfulness of the people), in which Christianity will have it's last great era of orthodoxy and evangelism before the rise of Antichrist and the Last Days. The world will be ruled by Christian monarchies, and great waves of evangelism will cover the earth, converting most of the world, as Pope John Paul II alluded to with his prophetic utterance "springtime of evangelism."
- Some time after the great French monarch dies, and perhaps after his successors die as well, the world will reach a point where things will be thrown into chaos once again. The world will eventually be divided among multiple (ten) kings. Antichrist will come, and he will assume world power. He will be Jewish, and rise to power in the Middle East. He will be hailed as the Jewish messiah, rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem, and establish his throne there. He will subdue the world, and teach that all religions are false, except Judaism and perhaps Noahidism as it's extension.
- Then after ruling mildly for some time, and rebuilding Jerusalem into a thriving metropolis, and capitol of the world, he shall persecute Christians severely, and then demand to be worshiped as God.
- At that point God will send Enoch and Elijah back to reason with the Jewish people, and they will reject him and convert to Christianity en masse. Eventually the Antichrist will be killed, and a very short time (unknown exactly how long) after that Jesus Christ will supernaturally return in the flesh. He will come in the clouds, to raise the dead, judge the nations, and bring our world to it's end. Thus begins ETERNITY!
What astounds me is how well the Saints and seers of ages past predicted the exact circumstances of our time, which they insisted would eventually result in the fall of our Secular world, followed by the revival of the Holy Roman Empire - and a new Christian Europe! The rise of Secular democratic republics in Europe (from 1789 until now) will prove to be an absolute failure as Muslims and Marxists slowly take them over, while liberal heretics attempt to take over the Church. Only the intervention of God, the election of a holy pope, and the rise of a Christian king, will be able to save Europe and the world.
Based on the foretold 75 to 100 year period of increased freedom and power granted to Satan by Christ, as reported by Pope Leo XIII, the message and timing of the Fatima visions, in conjunction with the prophecies of Anne Catherine Emmerich and many other approved Catholic mystics, I have come to the PERSONAL presumption that the period of the Chastisement will most likely occur between the years 2013 at the earliest, to 2038 at the latest. The time span between 2013 and 2038 (a period of 25 years) is borrowed time - a period when the Chastisement is imminent. That is my PERSONAL OPINION and should not be taken as anything more than that.
After this will come Peter the Roman, that great pontiff who will give us the Great Monarch, and the period of peace to follow.
Now I want to stress here that this is merely an assumption based on the information given, and my flawed human ability to process it. I am not a prophet, nor am I a mystic. I'm just a Catholic laymen with an interest in this topic. Based on the information given however, and my ability to process it, I am convinced that the time of the Chastisement is at hand. We have a 25 year window (between AD 2013 - 2038) in which it will most likely occur. Watch, Pray, Trust Christ, and Pursue Holiness; this is our best hope and our ONLY MEANS of survival.
These prophecies come predominantly from canonized Saints, who are approved for veneration by the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox churches. So we're not talking about any questionable predictions arising from occult sources. These were holy men and women of God, who saw images of the future through the revelation of the Holy Spirit. These prophecies have been compiled and recorded by multiple authors. Their works can be found stored electronically on the Internet and in books at your local public libraries. The following is a tiny sampling of what I'm talking about....
- St. Nilus, AD 430
"This prince shall extend his dominion over the entire universe. At the same time there will be a Great Pope, who will be the most eminent in sanctity and most perfect in every quality. This Pope shall have with him the Great Monarch, a most virtuous man, who shall be a scion of the holy race of the French kings. This Great Monarch will assist the Pope in the reformation of the whole earth. Many princes and nations that are living in error and impiety shall be converted, and an admirable peace shall reign among men during many years because the wrath of God shall be appeased through repentance, penance and good works. There will be one common law, one only faith, one baptism, one religion. All nations shall recognize the Holy See of Rome, and shall pay homage to the Pope. But after some considerable time fervor shall cool, iniquity shall abound, and moral corruption shall become worse than ever, which shall bring upon mankind the last and worst persecution of Antichrist and the end of the world" - St. Caesar of Arles (Caesarius), AD 470-543
"There will be a great prodigy which will fill the world with awe. But this prodigy will be preceded by the triumph of a revolution during which the Church will go through ordeals that are beyond description." - Pope Pius IX, AD 1846-1878
"God will punish the world when men have devised marvelous inventions that will lead them to forget God. They will have horseless carriages; they will fly like birds." - Blessed Bernardt Rembordt, AD 1689-1793
I saw one of my successors taking to flight over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in disguise somewhere, and after a short retirement he will die a cruel death. The present wickedness of the world is only the beginning of sorrows which must take place before the end of the world. - St. Pius X, AD 1903-1914
"The Pope will be forced to flee, followed by four cardinals. He will find refuge in Cologne." - Sister Helena Walraff, AD 1790
In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered. - Pope Leo XIII, AD 1903
"After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendour that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: Penance, Penance, Penance!'. And we saw in an immense light that is God: something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God." - The Children of Fatima, AD 1917
"Europe will be afflicted by horrable punishments, when the papal chair is empty. Wickedness, spitefulness and slandering will provoke a small nation, that will set on the fire by killing a prince. Seven realms will rise against the bird with two heads and the bird with one head."......"In east and west a large struggle will be, which destroys many humans." ......"Powerless humans will watch this. Four years and five months the riot will take. famine, epidemics and plague will cause more victims than the war." ..."The time will come, when you neither can buy nor sell. Bread will be assigned and marked. The seas will color themselves with blood. ...The carriages will drive without horses, fiery dragons will fly through the air and belch fire and sulfur, destroy cities and villages." ....."The winner carries a cross on the breast; and between the seven cities with the seven towers the decision takes place. There is a crucifix between two lime trees. The war will begin, when the ears fully lean, but reaching his highest point, when the cherry trees flower for the second time." - Saint Padre Pio, AD 1918
Watch the sun and moon and the stars of Heaven - when they appear to be unduly disturbed and restless, know that the day is not far away.......The Divine Judgment shall strike them like a thunderbolt!......'Hurricanes of fire will pour forth from the clouds and spread over the entire earth! Storms, bad weather, thunderbolts and earthquakes will cover the earth for two days. An uninterrupted rain of fire will take place! It will begin during a very cold night.........This catastrophe shall come upon the earth like a flash of lightning at which moment the light of the morning sun shall be replaced by black darkness! No one shall leave the house or look out of a window from that moment on. I Myself shall come amidst thunder and lightning.......'On that day, as soon as complete darkness has set in, no one shall leave the house or look out of the window. The darkness shall last a day and a night, followed by another day and a night, and another day - but on the night following, the stars will shine again, and on the next morning the sun shall rise again, and it will be springtime
- Saint Padre Pio, AD 1918
"Before I come as the just judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort: "All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day. " - Saint Faustina, AD 1937
Pray
.pray much, especially for the conversion of sinners Humanity has not heeded my Blessed Mother who appeared at Fatima, to exhort everyone to pentience. Now I have come, in this last hour to admonish the world. The times are grave. Men should do penance for their sins
I am near. The earth will tremble and will suffer. It will be terrific. A minor judgement. For those who are not in a state of grace it will be frightful. The angels of my justice are now scattered across the world. Men do not listen to my calls. They close their ears, resist my graces and refuse my mercy, my love and my merits. They will agonize in the blindness of their faults. Hatred and greed fills the hearts of men. All this is the work of Satan. The world sleeps in a dense darkness. This generation deserves to be annihalated ut I desire to show myself as merciful. Great and terrible things are being prepared. That which is about to happen will be terrible, like nothing ever since the beginning of the world. All those who have suffered in those last times are my martyrs and they prepare the newly converted of my church. That which will shortly happen, will greatly surpass everything that has ever happened until now. The Mother of God and the angels will intervene. Hell will believe that victory is theirs, but I will seize it from them. Many blaspheme Me and, because of this, I shall allow all kinds of misfortunes to rain upon the earth for, through this, many will be saved. Blessed are those who suffer everything in reparation for those who offend me. My beloved children the hour is near. Pray incessantly and you will not be confounded. I unite My elect. They will come together, at the same time, from all parts of the world and they will glorify Me.I come. Blessed are those who will be prepared. Blessed are those who hear me." - The Children of Heede, AD 1937
"Countless legions of demons shall overrun the earth - the instrument of divine justice - and causing terrible calamities and disasters. Nothing on earth shall be spared. After the frightful punishment I saw a great light appear upon the earth which was the sign of reconciliation of God with men. All men shall become Catholics, and they shall acknowledge the Pope as Vicar of Jesus Christ." - Ven. Isabel Canori Moor, AD 1803-1825
"My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you. You will inform your superior." "As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord. The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them. With courage, speak to your superior. He will know how to encourage each one of you to pray and to accomplish works of reparation. It is Bishop Ito, who directs your community. You have still something to ask? Today is the last time that I will speak to you in living voice. From now on you will obey the one sent to you and your superior. Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamites which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved." - Sister Agnes Sasagawa (The Seeress of Akita), AD 1973
"A Frankish King will one day rule over the entire Roman Empire... He shall give up the ghost at Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives." - Saint Augustine of Hippo, AD 430
"The great Monarch and the great Pope will precede Antichrist. The nations will be at war for four years and a great part of the world will be destroyed. The Pope will go over the sea carrying the sign of Redemption on his forehead. The great Monarch will come to restore peace and the Pope will share in the victory." - Werdin DOtrante, 13th Century AD
But God shall save all like a sign of the last judgement. God will come to help. The return of the king shall be announced. This will re-establish peace and prosperity. Religion shall fourish again better than ever before . "This shall re-establish a peace and prosperity without precedent."
"The good people will triumph when the return of the King is announced." - St Jean-Baptiste-Marie Vianney, AD 1818-1859
A great prince of the north with a most powerful army will traverse all Europe, uproot all the republics, and defeat all the rebels. His sword moved by divine power will most valiantly defend the Church of Jesus Christ. He shall subdue to his dominion the Mohammedan Empire. - Rudolph Gekner, 17th Century AD
A knight shall come from the west. He shall capture Milan, Lombardy, and the three crowns. He shall then sail to Cyprus and Famagoste and land at Joffa, and reach Christ's grave where he will fight. Wars and wonders shall befall till the people believe Christ toward the end of the world. - St. Thomas Becket, AD 1118-1170
"After a fightful war a great king will arise and his reign will by marked by a wonderful peace and great religious revival - Melania Calvat (The Seeress of La Salette), AD 1846
The great king will wage war until the age of forty. He will assemble great armies, and hurl back the tyrants out of his empire. - St. Cataldus, 7th Century AD
Some of our teachers say that a king of the Franks will prossess the entire Roman Empire. He will be the greatest and the last of all monarchs. After having wisely governed his kingdom, he will go in the end to Jerusalem and will lay down his sceptre and his crown upon the Mount of Olives. Immediately afterwards, Antichrist will come. - Monk Adso, 10th Century AD
In the latter days of the world, Christians will become ungrateful for the great favours they will receive through the coming of the great Monarch, by reason of the long period of peace and prosperity on earth which they will enjoy under his reign. Many man will then begin to doubt if the Christian faith is the only really santifying faith and will think perhaps the Jews are right because they are awaiting the Messiah.... "In those days, the Antichrist will bring about many tribulation; but God will not allow those redeemed by the divine blood to be deceived. For that reason, he will send his two servants, Enoch and Elias, who will declare the prodigies of the Antichrist to be false, and will denounce him as an impostor. After the death and ruin of many, he will leave the Temple in confusion; and many of his followers will forsake him to join the company of the righteous. The seducer, upon seeing himself reproached and scorned, will become enraged and will put to death those saints of God. It is then that there will appear the sign of the Son of Man, and he will come upon the clouds of heaven." - St. Methodius of Olympus, AD 311
"Antichrist will be possessed by Satan and be the illegitimate son of a Jewish woman from the East." - St. John Chrysostom, AD 407
"At the time of his reign antichrist will command that Jerusalem be rebuilt in its splendour and will make it a great and populous city, second to none in the world and will order his palace to be built there." - St. Irenaeus, AD 177
"We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel." - Pope John Paul II, AD 1976-2005

The late Father John Hardon wrote this very accurate article in the early 1970’s...

What is Marxism?
In order to do justice in answering this question, suppose we identify
what I consider the fifteen principal marks of Marxism, You might
compare them to the four marks of the Church founded by Christ. Marxism
is a godless religion in which its leaders believe, shall I say, with a
faith comparable to that of believing Christians.
The best single source to understand Marxism is the Communist
Manifesto. The best single analysis of Marxism is the encyclical on
Atheistic Communism by Pope Pius XI in which he identifies Marxism as a
“Utopian Messianism,”
1. Messianic Ideal. According to Karl Marx, mankind should look forward
to the attainment of a Messianic society in this world, which is the
highest ideal toward which the human race can tend. The attainment of
such a society presumes man’s perfectibility, and is based on the
belief that the human desire for happiness will be fulfilled on earth
in some future period of history.
2. Equality and Fraternity. This idyllic society will be distinguished
by the practice of perfect equality and fraternity among its members.
It will be the last stage in a series of five stages of human
development, reflecting the original state of man in a tribal and
communitarian society, namely slavery, feudalism, capitalism, socialism
and communism. In the first three of these stages, men exploit one
another; in the fourth (socialism) they are passing through an interval
of adjustment; and in the fifth (communism) the classless society is
achieved.
3. Economic Progress Through Marxism. Confirmation of the myth of
Marxism is the remarkable material progress already attained in places
where its ideology has been put into practice. It is, therefore, no
longer a merely speculative position but an established fact that a
Marxist philosophy succeeds where others had failed.
4. Dialectical and Historical Materialism. According to all its
philosophers, Marxism is founded on two kinds of materialism, the
dialectical and historical. It is materialism because it claims there
exists only one reality, matter. It is dialectical because through the
interaction of opposing material forces all apparently higher forms of
being evolve first life, then sentient beings, and finally man. It is
historical because, now that man exists, human history follows the same
evolving pattern towards higher perfection, but uniquely through the
interaction of the material (economic) forces of society.
5. Accelerating Progress Through Conflict. Consistent with its stress
on dialectics, Marxism holds that the progress of humanity toward its
predicted goal is accelerated by human conflict. Hence the role of
revolution as a necessary means of fostering social development and the
importance of sharpening the antagonisms which already exist or can be
stimulated between various classes of society.
6. Marxist Deviation. There is only one “grave sin” in Marxian
morality. It is committed by those who deviate from the ideal of
relentless revolution. Within the Marxist camp, left and right are
measured by the degree of departure from or conformity to this need for
violence as the precondition for an eventual warless society.
7. Primacy of the Group. The individual in a Marxian society surrenders
his personal rights in favor of the group. He does this, after long
indoctrination, on the conviction that part of the contribution toward
the eventual rise of a classless commonwealth is the complete sacrifice
of his own personality,
8. Equality Among People. In man’s relations with other individuals,
Marxism holds that only absolute equality is legitimate. It rejects all
civil and ecclesiastical authority as grounded on the will of God, and
denies any innate authority of parents over their children. What people
call authority or subordination is derived from the community as its
source and only foundation.
9. Denial of All Property Rights. Not without reason did Marx and
Engels state in their Communist Manifesto that “The theory of Communism
may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private
property.” They meant it to be taken in absolute literalness. In
Marxian ethics, no individual should be granted any rights over
material goods or the means of production. This is because history has
shown that private property is the universal source of further wealth,
and personal possession gives one man power over another. All forms of
private property, therefore, must be eliminated because they are the
origin of every economic enslavement.
10. The Artificial Institutions of Marriage and the Family. Since
Marxism denies any sacred or spiritual character to human life beyond
the merely economic, it logically claims that marriage and the family
are purely civil and, in fact, merely artificial institutions. They are
the outcome of an outmoded economic system. There are no moral bonds of
marriage. There are only such privileges as the collectivity may see
fit to grant persons to mate and procreate, for the sake of the
collectivity and subject to its conditions. An indissoluble marriage
bond may be humored by the state, but it has no inherent rights before
the civil law.
11. The Emancipation of Women. Marxism is especially characterized by
its rejection of any link that binds women to the family and the home.
Women’s emancipation is proclaimed as a cardinal principle of the
socialist interim that will usher in the classless society of the
future. Women are to be first encouraged and then, if need be,
compelled to withdraw from the family and the care of children. These
are regularly stigmatized “bourgeois” activities, Liberated from
household chores and the rearing of a family through thousands of
childcare centers, women are to be thrust instead into public life and
collective production under the same conditions as men.
12. No Parental Rights in Education. Correlative with the function of
women as robots (Russian for “work”), the collectivity assumes the
total responsibility for the education and training of children. The
euphemistic statement in the Manifesto, “Free education for all
children in public schools,” has been implemented to mean that the
state alone has the right to educate. In practice, this has further
meant that the state, and not the parents, has the exclusive
prerogative to determine who shall teach, under what curriculum, with
what textbooks, and how the matter is communicated. The previous
mandate of the Manifesto (number 10) should be joined with another
mandate (number 6), that is, “Centralization of the means of
communication. . . in the hands of the state.”
13. Economics, the Basis of Society. In the Marxian scheme of society,
economics is the fundamental law of human existence. It is not freedom,
or human rights, or a divinely established moral order, or the pursuit
of happiness, or the service of God, but uniquely the advancement of
the economic system. Greater production of material goods, more
efficiently, in a more collectivized manner this is the bedrock of a
societys well being. This must be given precedence over everything
else; as everything else mentioned must be subordinated to
technological productivity.
14. The Collectivity Controls the Individual. Six of the ten principal
“measures” of the Manifesto affirm in clear language how completely
Marxism sees the individual as a tool in the hands of the state:
“Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to
public purposes; abolition of all rights of inheritance; centralization
of credit in the hands of the State, by means of... an exclusive
monopoly; centralization of the means of... transport in the hands of
the State; extension of factories and instruments of production owned
by the State; equal liability of all to labor; establishment of
industrial armies, especially for agriculture.” State totalitarianism
could not be more complete or the subjugation of individual to the
“common plan” devised by the collectivity.
15. Disappearance of the State. According to Marxist predictions, this
tyrannical enslavement to the State is the necessary radical surgery
which must be performed on society in order to give birth to a new
society never before dreamed possible in the history of mankind.
Synonyms are accumulated to describe this prophetic vision. It will be
a society in which “the public power will lose its political
character”; a society in which “the free development of each is the
condition for the free development of all.” For the time being, during
the period of socialism, the state dictatorship of the proletariat is
necessary. But, by means of the Marxist revolution, the proletariat
will be “abolished in its own supremacy as a class. In place of the old
bourgeois society, with its classes and class antagonisms, we shall
have an association” in which all conflicts are gone.
The United States is a Marxist Country
In the light of what we have just seen, can anyone doubt that the
United States has been deeply infected by Marxism. However, I believe
we can say even more. Our country is a Marxist nation, Dare I say still
more? The United States of America is the most powerful Marxist country
in the world.
This thesis deserves not just another lecture, or even just a semester
of class. It should be the bedrock of our understanding of what the
Vicar of Christ is telling us. As we come to the close of the twentieth
century, we are seeing the gravest crisis in the history of
Christianity. In my judgment, at the center of this crisis is the deep
penetration of Marxism into our beloved country.
In order to do some justice to a gigantic subject, let me just choose
two of the fifteen hallmarks of Marxism, and see how deeply they have
penetrated American society. I focus on the emancipation of women and
the denial of parental rights in education.
Emancipation of Women. Also known as women’s liberation, the
emancipation of women has become a major revolution in the United
States. Its avowed purpose is to free women from the discrimination to
which they have been subject in civil society and in political
legislation. It argues from a massive discrimination of women by men,
and urges women to revolt against men. The best known proponent of this
ideology was Nikolai Lenin, a disciple of Karl Marx, who urged that,
“The success of a revolution depends upon the degree of participation
by women.” On these terms, women’s liberation is simply part of the
larger struggle for the eventual creation of a classless society.
The range of women’s liberation in our country is as broad as American
geography and as deep as our present-day American culture. Perhaps the
best way to see how widely feminism has penetrated our society is to
quote some typical statements of feminists who call themselves Catholic
but have been seduced by Marxism.
Bearing and raising one’s children ...have very little to do with
shaping the future and still less with finding one’s own identity. On
the contrary, as the same range of potential ability exists for women
as for men, the problem of finding their identity is precisely the same
it lies in their work outside the home a woman cannot find identity
through others her husband, her children. She cannot find it in the
dull routine of housework. The only way for a woman ...to find herself,
to know herself as a person, is by creative work of her own.
Women are not to find ways to use their full capacities and work
creatively within the structure set by marriage and motherhood. It is
marriage and motherhood which must be adapted to the structure of one’s
work life.
Although the new wave of feminist theology is only twenty years
old, it has already developed a broad base of critical scriptural
studies, revisionist church history, historical systematic theology, as
well as work in ethics arid pastoral psychology, upon which to base a
comprehensive rethinking of tradition.
Of particular importance ...is the patriarchal bias of Scripture.
It is one thing to critique the tradition as flawed, but on what basis
can one speak of Scripture as distorted by sexist bias and still
regarded as an authoritative source of revelation?
Women have opted ...to seek an egalitarian society that existed
before the rise of patriarchy and that ancient religions centered in
the Goddess reflect this prepatriarchal society ....They believe, in
the groups persecuted by Christianity, such as medieval witches, which
Christian inquisitors falsely described as “devil worshippers.” Thus
these women ,..see themselves as reviving an ancient feminist religion.
Thus the litany of feminist quotations could go on for literally
hundreds of volumes that are currently in print. What has been the
result in the United States? Inclusive language in the liturgy is only
a minor effect of Marxist feminism which has penetrated the Catholic
Church. In one diocese after another, women, dare I say it, are in
charge. One of the most devastating effects of this radical feminism
has been the breakdown of literally tens of thousands of once dedicated
religious women who decided they were sick and tired of being dominated
by a male hierarchy, especially by a male Bishop of Rome. I think it is
worth quoting from the Foreword to Donna Steichen’s book Ungodly Rage.
Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta has said, “Words which do not
give the light of Christ increase the darkness.” This book is about
darkness. Its pages document one of the most devastating religious
epidemics of our, or any other, time an infectious and communicable
disease of the human spirit for which there is no easy cure, and which
afflicts not only the “carriers”, but nearly all religious believers
including our children, the future of the human race and the future of
the Church. The book should be read attentively by all who are
concerned about or responsible for the religious welfare and spiritual
development of others.
This disease, the source of the “ungodly rage” of the title, has a
name: “feminism”.
It is no wonder that Pope John Paul II urged American bishops to combat
what he termed a “bitter, ideological” feminism among some American
Catholic women, which he said has led to “forms of nature worship and
the celebration of myths and symbols” usurping the practice and
celebration of the Christian faith. The ordination of women to the
priesthood is infallibly excluded by the Catholic faith. Yet it is
being widely promoted in some high, professedly Catholic circles as
evidence of the Marxist mentality in our country.
Denial of Parental Rights in Education. Some years ago, I had the
privilege of publishing a thirty page Statement of Principles and
Policy on Atheistic Education in Soviet Russia. The opening paragraph
of this document stated:
The Soviet school, as an instrument for the Communist education of the
rising generation, can, as a matter of principle, take up no other
attitude towards religion than one of irreconcilable opposition; for
Communist education has as its philosophical basis Marxism, and Marxism
is irreconcilably hostile to religion. “Marxism is materialism,” says
V. I. Lenin; “as such, it is as relentlessly hostile to religion as the
materialism of the Encyclopaedists of the eighteenth century or the
materialism of Feuerbach.”
How has this philosophy penetrated the United States? So deeply that
most Americans have only the faintest idea of what is going on in our
schools. William Foster, former American chairman of the Communist
party, wrote in Toward a Soviet America that he wanted the “cultural
revolution” to be advanced under the aegis of a national department of
education.
That is exactly what the National Education Association lobbied for
during the 1976 presidential campaign, and a Department of Education is
exactly what the American president gave the union in gratitude for its
support.
Foster wrote that the Department of Education should be
“revolutionized, cleansed of religious, patriotic and other features of
the bourgeois ideology The students will be taught on the basis of
Marxian dialectical materialism, internationalism, and the general
ethics of the new Socialist society.”
What happened to parents rights to educate their children? In less
than a quarter century, these rights have been lost by most parents in
the United States. Most of the once Catholic schools in America have
been closed. This manuscript is being written in an empty Catholic
school, once taught by dedicated women religious who have been beguiled
by Marxian ideology.
Parents who courageously teach their children at home are being
subjected to inhuman pressures, not only by State but by Church
authorities.
Some time ago, I was asked by Rome to write a series of articles on
John Dewey, the atheistic genius who is commonly regarded as the father
of American education. According to Dewey, the idea of “God” represents
a unification of ideal values that is essentially imaginative. In other
words, God does not exist, except as a projection of our imagination.
That is why religion, which believes in the existence of a personal God
is excluded by American law from public schools. That is also why
Catholic schools in our country have been deprived of any government
support. According to Dewey, it is a mistake to think that in the
United States we have separation of Church and State. No, says Dewey,
in America we have the subordination of Church to State.
On these premises, what is left of parents’ rights in the education of
their children? Nothing, except what a Marxist government allows the
parents to teach.
I would like to close with a paraphrase of what Pope Pius XI told us in
his classic encyclical on Communism. He was speaking to professed
Christians. Specifically, he was addressing “those of our children who
are more or less tainted with the Communist plague. We earnestly exhort
them to hear the voice of their loving Father. We pray the Lord to
enlighten them that they may abandon the slippery path which will
precipitate one and all to ruin and catastrophe. We pray that they may
recognize that Jesus Christ our Lord is their only Savior, `for there
is no other name in heaven given to man whereby we must be saved. “’

I wouldn’t be so sure of that.
This 2000 year body of cohesive, consistent and fairly accurate (to this point) Christian prophecy is hard to ignore.

**Russia will be converted back to Christianity en mass, and the Orthodox churches will be reunited with the Roman Catholic Church, and all non-Catholic (protestant, reformed, evangelical and fundamentalist) churches will cease to exist.**
This should be of interest to many fellow FReepers.

Bingo
A Monarch is charged with the health and well being of his country and people.
I.E. If a pipeline is too be built through your oil rich states, that will provide AT LEAST 20,000 new jobs and a ton of new capital created and will ease the pressure off your people, a Monarch is charged in making sure that gets done. NOT PUT IT OFF UNTIL THE NEXT ELECTION!
But where that ever happen........
and that is just one example of many.

I sure hope so, I do believe we will see some sort of reunification with the Orthodox Church in our lifetimes.

Its no matter though, because in a very short time Evangelicalism will no longer exist. For that matter, neither will any Protestant denomination or sect. All of the pluralism we see in Christianity today will soon be extinct.
The Catholic church will be busy assisting and embracing the Antichrist just like it helped Hitler during WWII.
