Well known and admired 108 year old Rabbi reveals the Messiah's name!
“I’m also increasingly convinced by the evidence such posters present that there must be some demonic element facilitating such blindness and such Scripture mangling. Still, it’s hideous to observe.”
And yet I provide facts, history, and definitions to support my claims. You continue to “froth at the keyboard” like a Jihadist who just saw a compromising picture of Mohammed.
LOL!
“WRONG AGAIN ON ALL COUNTS.”
Writes the guy who types in all caps, demonizes those with whom he disagrees, and provides no evidence to support his baseless assertions.
I addressed that reason in a previous post.
We have Israel having been brought back to her own land after being dispersed among the nations for 2000 years, which did not happen in 70AD; we have the Gospel being preached to all nations in our time which did not happen in 70AD; we have earthquakes in diverse places which did not happen in 70AD; we have worldwide economic collapse which did not happen in 70AD; we have active, ongoing plans to dispense with national currencies and go to a one-world currency, which did not happen in 70AD; we have the technology to enable the Antichrist to number every single person on the face of the earth, which they did not have in 70AD - the list goes on and on.
All of these events were prophesied by God thousands of years ago and have not happened all at the same time until our generation.
There is a reason why a person will refuse to accept reality and will choose to believe something that is not of God.

“Thats sufficient.”
It wasn’t sufficient for the 300,000 that attended his (very orthodox) funeral.

All addressed in the links I posted. Go back and read them. You do know Jerusalem is built on a fault line, don’t you? You do know that there is at least one earthquake mentioned in Acts and another mentioned by Josephus, don’t you?
You do know there was a world-wide famine in 43 AD, don’t you? It’s mentioned by Josephus and in the Book of Acts.
You do know that the Greek word for “world” in Matthew 24:14, is the same word from which we get “ecumenical”, and in ancient times - including the first century - would have applied specifically to the Roman Empire, don’t you?
No?
Further, you do know that the events of 70 AD dispersed the Jews from their homeland so that they could be regathered in 1948, don’t you?
You do know that while Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 all predict the siege and fall of Jerusalem, that in the last days - when Jerusalem is surrounded by armies - Christ returns to save it, don’t you?
No?
Maybe people who don’t know history or scripture should do a little more homework before they presume to call others who do “heretics” and “devils.”
You're grasping at straws to make your discredited beliefs work and in the meantime the world is racing toward the Rapture and the Tribulation and the ultimate result of all this: Jesus Christ's literal return to earth and His 1,000 year reign on earth.
Choose to stay behind if you like but don't expect others to go along with you.
“I’ve heard it all before. Nothing you have offered is anything new.”
The you have no excuse.
I see world events fulfilling God's prophetic Scripture and I believe that what God said will happen before His return will happen and I see it happening.
I'm not the one who will need some excuse, believe me.
The Rabbi studied Torah and came to the conclusion that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies, the same conclusion as the rest of us that are gifted with faith and the Holy Spirit. God bless Torah Jews
“I’m not the one who will need some excuse, believe me.”
Why should I when you’ve provided absolutely no evidence to support you claims???
You and Quix, among others, are quick to condemn but slow to learn. Reading your posts one need not imagine how Christ felt dealing with the Pharisees. They were the same way: quick to condemn, slow to learn.
I have the Bible and reality.
Where's any evidence at all that end-time prophecy happened in 70AD?
You've provided absolutely nothing to support your preterism.
“Where’s your evidence?”
In the links I posted. Go find them. They’re in this thread.
“I have the Bible and reality.”
Correction. You have the Bible and your opinion.
“Where’s any evidence at all that end-time prophecy happened in 70AD?”
Straw man/ Please point to any post I wrote that said “end-time prophecy happened in 70AD?”
If it was fulfilled in 70 AD, by definition, it wasn’t “end-time”, was it?
“You’ve provided absolutely nothing to support your preterism.”
Again with the labels. Check the links I posted. I present history, facts, definitions, and evidence: none of the things “futurists” like to deal with. LOL!
Same discredited garbage that everybody's heard before.
Correction. You have the Bible and your opinion.
Correction. There has never been a man in the history of the world that ruled the entire world and forced everyone on earth to take a number or be beheaded.
So yeah, I have the Bible and reality.
Straw man/ Please point to any post I wrote that said end-time prophecy happened in 70AD?
You call yourself a preterist. The definition of preterism is that all Biblical end-time prophecy has happened in 70AD. If you don't like the definition of what you believe, that's not my problem.
If it was fulfilled in 70 AD, by definition, it wasnt end-time, was it?
Since none of it was fulfilled in 70AD, then yes, it's end-time.
I present history, facts, definitions, and evidence: none of the things futurists like to deal with. LOL!
There's nothing to deal with. That's like "dealing" with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Preterism is a fable, a completely discredited belief, and a joke. Preterism is the Flat Earth Society.
And you want evidence? Have at it:

Again, this would be wonderful news, if true. But again, I ask, where is there any indication of this, other than Rav Kaduri’s last note, which contained the sentence, “Yarim ha-’am weyochiach shedvaro wetorato ‘omdim,” the first letter of whose words spell, “yhoshu’a”? According to all reports I’ve read, he didn’t claim to have learned such from the Torah, but from having seen in a vision one he identified to his closest disciples as the Messiah.
Had he written instead of a bare and acronymic “yhoshu’a,” the plain words “yeshu shel natsrat,” or something similar, there would have been no doubt whatever. But he didn’t. And so I doubt that any of the 300,000 who attended his funeral now think that they buried a disciple of Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah. His son and grandson certainly do not now so think.
“Same discredited garbage that everybody’s heard before.”
In your opinion.
“Correction. There has never been a man in the history of the world that ruled the entire world and forced everyone on earth to take a number or be beheaded.”
Yes there was. His name was Nero. Read Foxe’s Book of Martyrs. Again, the word “world” means something different today than it did in Jesus’ time. Back then, it meant “Roman Empire.”
But don’t let facts get in the way of a good story.
“You call yourself a preterist.”
LOL! I specifically have REFUSED to let me be called that! If I reject that label that others are trying to pin on me, why would I give it to me???
You have reacted reflexively to this entire topic and have written off the evidence because of the label people - like you - have given it! Again, you’re reacting like a jihadist who’s just seen a compromising picture of Mohammed! LOL!
“The definition of preterism is that all Biblical end-time prophecy has happened in 70AD.”
Again, please point me to the post where I ever wrote such a thing! And while you’re at it, stop with the personal attacks and straw-man arguments!
“If you don’t like the definition of what you believe, that’s not my problem.”
You call me “preterist”, assume that you know everything that I believe, then write my position off as “garbage.” That all sounds like you’re the one with the problem.
“Since none of it was fulfilled in 70AD, then yes, it’s end-time.”
Was Jerusalem destroyed in 70 AD or not? Were the Jews dispersed throughout the world or not? If so, then you have to explain how the many prophecies surrounding this one event were not fulfilled. Good luck! LOL!
“Preterism is a fable, a completely discredited belief, and a joke. Preterism is the Flat Earth Society.”
Good thing I’m not a preterist, then: I’ve only recounted Christ’s words and provided the historical fulfillment of them using history, facts, and evidence.
You’ve offered nothing but insults and condemnation.
BTW, the evidence of your links hardly pertains to me, as I am not a preterist. Since I am not, these are just more “straw men.”
Deal with the evidence I’ve presented.
But the Bible, which sometimes just can't be ignored or discarded, says that Jesus Christ will personally throw the Antichrist and the False Prophet into the Lake of Fire when he returns.
Nero committed suicide. So the Antichrist wasn't Nero. But don't let facts get in the way of a good delusion.
LOL! I specifically have REFUSED to let me be called that! If I reject that label that others are trying to pin on me, why would I give it to me???
But unfortunately your beliefs match exactly those of a preterist. So, I guess it doesn't matter what you want to be called when your beliefs already have a name.
You have reacted reflexively to this entire topic and have written off the evidence because of the label people - like you - have given it! Again, youre reacting like a jihadist whos just seen a compromising picture of Mohammed! LOL!
"Reacted reflexively"? Because I refuse to deny and discard Scripture and buy into a belief system that has no basis whatsoever in reality? That's reacting reflexively? No, that's ridiculing your beliefs and you don't like it. That's not "reacting" at all. Thats giving facts and Scripture and getting a reaction. And if you want to equate my defense of God-written Scripture with a "jihadist", you go right ahead. It reflects on you, not me.
Again, please point me to the post where I ever wrote such a thing! And while youre at it, stop with the personal attacks and straw-man arguments!
Did you not just make a reference to Nero and try to claim he was the Antichrist? Are you confused? Your unBiblical beliefs are obvious to everyone but yourself? Are you serious?
Was Jerusalem destroyed in 70 AD or not? Were the Jews dispersed throughout the world or not? If so, then you have to explain how the many prophecies surrounding this one event were not fulfilled. Good luck! LOL!
Did God bring the Jews back from among the nations into their own land and their own nation which was reborn in 1948 in 70AD? No? Then you need to explain how the end-time prophecies were fulfilled in 70AD! Good Luck! LOL!!!
And Jerusalem being destroyed has nothing to do with events that will occur right before Christ's return and no preterist has ever been able to make that connection. Which is just more evidence that preterism is a joke.
Good thing Im not a preterist, then: Ive only recounted Christs words and provided the historical fulfillment of them using history, facts, and evidence.
I don't blame you for trying to shed the preterist connection; anyone who is a preterist has no credibility and is written off as a Bible-ignorant, Bible-denying loon.
But, unfortunately, you've made three references to historical events which are the same events that preterists attempt to use as proof that prophecy has already been filfilled. And, like has happened thousands of times before, those references were put in their proper place, which is not in the realm of fulfilled prophecy.
You may want to be careful what you try to claim as fulfilled prophecy. You sound just like a preterist.
Youve offered nothing but insults and condemnation.
Oh stop whining. You have simply regurgitated preterist nonsense and I have told you that preterism is garbage and I stand by my statement. And I provided links to evidence that nukes preterism. So I have not "offered nothing but insults and condemnation". I disagreed with what you believe and you overreacted.
If what you believe is that shallow and shaky, maybe it's time to reconsider.
NOPE.
Not remotely my interpretation of reality . . . in terms of what I’ve observed hereon, in Scripture and re history.
I MUCH AGREE.
I DON’T THINK WE CAN KNOW THAT.
From what I know of such social systems,
I suspect that a year later, everyone who attended the funeral heard quickly of the ‘secret’ message and was driven to seek God’s face more intensely.
I believe the cultural relationship style would have made that very likely.
And, I believe Holy Spirit is that faithful.
