Yes there was. His name was Nero. Read Foxe’s Book of Martyrs. Again, the word “world” means something different today than it did in Jesus’ time. Back then, it meant “Roman Empire.”

But the Bible, which sometimes just can't be ignored or discarded, says that Jesus Christ will personally throw the Antichrist and the False Prophet into the Lake of Fire when he returns.

Nero committed suicide. So the Antichrist wasn't Nero. But don't let facts get in the way of a good delusion.

LOL! I specifically have REFUSED to let me be called that! If I reject that label that others are trying to pin on me, why would I give it to me???

But unfortunately your beliefs match exactly those of a preterist. So, I guess it doesn't matter what you want to be called when your beliefs already have a name.

You have reacted reflexively to this entire topic and have written off the evidence because of the label people - like you - have given it! Again, you’re reacting like a jihadist who’s just seen a compromising picture of Mohammed! LOL!

"Reacted reflexively"? Because I refuse to deny and discard Scripture and buy into a belief system that has no basis whatsoever in reality? That's reacting reflexively? No, that's ridiculing your beliefs and you don't like it. That's not "reacting" at all. Thats giving facts and Scripture and getting a reaction. And if you want to equate my defense of God-written Scripture with a "jihadist", you go right ahead. It reflects on you, not me.

Again, please point me to the post where I ever wrote such a thing! And while you’re at it, stop with the personal attacks and straw-man arguments!

Did you not just make a reference to Nero and try to claim he was the Antichrist? Are you confused? Your unBiblical beliefs are obvious to everyone but yourself? Are you serious?

Was Jerusalem destroyed in 70 AD or not? Were the Jews dispersed throughout the world or not? If so, then you have to explain how the many prophecies surrounding this one event were not fulfilled. Good luck! LOL!

Did God bring the Jews back from among the nations into their own land and their own nation which was reborn in 1948 in 70AD? No? Then you need to explain how the end-time prophecies were fulfilled in 70AD! Good Luck! LOL!!!

And Jerusalem being destroyed has nothing to do with events that will occur right before Christ's return and no preterist has ever been able to make that connection. Which is just more evidence that preterism is a joke.

Good thing I’m not a preterist, then: I’ve only recounted Christ’s words and provided the historical fulfillment of them using history, facts, and evidence.

I don't blame you for trying to shed the preterist connection; anyone who is a preterist has no credibility and is written off as a Bible-ignorant, Bible-denying loon.

But, unfortunately, you've made three references to historical events which are the same events that preterists attempt to use as proof that prophecy has already been filfilled. And, like has happened thousands of times before, those references were put in their proper place, which is not in the realm of fulfilled prophecy.

You may want to be careful what you try to claim as fulfilled prophecy. You sound just like a preterist.

You’ve offered nothing but insults and condemnation.

Oh stop whining. You have simply regurgitated preterist nonsense and I have told you that preterism is garbage and I stand by my statement. And I provided links to evidence that nukes preterism. So I have not "offered nothing but insults and condemnation". I disagreed with what you believe and you overreacted.

If what you believe is that shallow and shaky, maybe it's time to reconsider.

= = =

INDEED. BESIDES THE VERY BASIC BIBLICAL

FACT

THAT THE AC MUST BE IN CONTROL OF EVERY NATION, EVERY PEOPLE GROUP WHEN SUCH PROPHECIES TRANSPIRE.

The Preterists/REPLACEMENTARIANS dance around that, rationalize it away, mangle definitions, mangle Scripture and mangle history to avoid facing that very solid Biblical fact.

All they manage to do is
—lower my sense of their integrity,
—my sense of their IQ,
—my sense of their Biblical knowledge,
—my sense of their logic skills.
—my sense of the size of their vocabulary.
Really impressive! LOL.

“Jesus Christ will personally throw the Antichrist and the False Prophet into the Lake of Fire when he returns.

Nero committed suicide. So the Antichrist wasn’t Nero.”

You’re tying the two of them together. I’m not.

“...your beliefs match exactly those of a preterist.”

And you actually know what all my beliefs are because...?
You’ve decided I’m a “preterist” and so you feel as though you can ignore and condemn me now. Nice, tight logical, self-serving circle you’ve got there.

“Reacted reflexively”? Because I refuse to deny and discard Scripture and buy into a belief system that has no basis whatsoever in reality?”

No. Because you’ve decided that putting a label on people with whom you disagree, and then reacting in shock, horror, and condemnation of that label, is a bona fide substitute for real discussion. Your mind is completely closed to the truth and so you react like this - in a knee-jerk way - whenever someone presents an idea that challenges your beliefs.

And in that regard, you are no better than a jihadist.

“Did you not just make a reference to Nero and try to claim he was the Antichrist?”

No. You made that connection. I didn’t.

“Did God bring the Jews back from among the nations into their own land and their own nation which was reborn in 1948 in 70AD?”

It would be better if you actually answered the question I put to you, since your version of it is simply asinine and something I never wrote or suggested.

“And Jerusalem being destroyed has nothing to do with events that will occur right before Christ’s return...”

I never said it did. Like most people reacting reflexively to the issue, you read things into what’s written and don’t really care to have a civil discussion about it.

All your posts demonstrate is that you’re not a serious Bible student and that you don’t want your beliefs challenged.

As for the rest, it’s not even worth addressing.
