There is a reason why people cling to false doctrine, in the face of our present reality which could not contradict more the belief of preterism; there is a reason why Scripture will be ignored and allegorized in order to make the belief work.

I addressed that reason in a previous post.

We have Israel having been brought back to her own land after being dispersed among the nations for 2000 years, which did not happen in 70AD; we have the Gospel being preached to all nations in our time which did not happen in 70AD; we have earthquakes in diverse places which did not happen in 70AD; we have worldwide economic collapse which did not happen in 70AD; we have active, ongoing plans to dispense with national currencies and go to a one-world currency, which did not happen in 70AD; we have the technology to enable the Antichrist to number every single person on the face of the earth, which they did not have in 70AD - the list goes on and on.

All of these events were prophesied by God thousands of years ago and have not happened all at the same time until our generation.

There is a reason why a person will refuse to accept reality and will choose to believe something that is not of God.

All addressed in the links I posted. Go back and read them. You do know Jerusalem is built on a fault line, don’t you? You do know that there is at least one earthquake mentioned in Acts and another mentioned by Josephus, don’t you?

You do know there was a world-wide famine in 43 AD, don’t you? It’s mentioned by Josephus and in the Book of Acts.

You do know that the Greek word for “world” in Matthew 24:14, is the same word from which we get “ecumenical”, and in ancient times - including the first century - would have applied specifically to the Roman Empire, don’t you?

No?

Further, you do know that the events of 70 AD dispersed the Jews from their homeland so that they could be regathered in 1948, don’t you?

You do know that while Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 all predict the siege and fall of Jerusalem, that in the last days - when Jerusalem is surrounded by armies - Christ returns to save it, don’t you?

No?

Maybe people who don’t know history or scripture should do a little more homework before they presume to call others who do “heretics” and “devils.”
