Here is a poll question that would like to know what religion we Freepers consider ourselves.
What Religion Are You Freeper?
I know that most Freepers consider ourselves to be a Christian, but there are many of you Freepers who tend to keep your religion to yourselves and basically stick to the political issues. However, inquiring minds would like to know, and it would only take few seconds to answer the poll question.
low-key Protestant
Taoist. Fear-based religions no longer have any power over me. ;)
They are inherently evil IMO.
I’d just like to point out that the fact that Buddhism is not on the list proves the point that craving and desire is the root cause suffering.
Next time I do this I promise to have many more options, but I really do see Charismatics and Pentecostals as part of the unaffiliated evangelicals category. If I took all evangelicals that are unaffiliated and gave them their own category, I would have probably 300 categories.
Hope Chapel ( I know I know) - a sub-sect of Foursquare without the speaking in tongues stuff.

Roman Catholic
Yep...he didn’t make it on his looks.
Seventh Day Opportunist
What is the difference? (I honestly don't know). And have you read anything interesting lately?
What does being spiritual entail?
In understand that.
However,Charismatics/Pentecostals is a huge percentage in terms of percentage of Christian Evangelicals population wise. That’s not near as true for a long list of others.
And, I suspect that if you took your unaffiliated Evangelicals, more than 60% of them would be Charismatic/Pentecostal. I could be wrong about that on FR but it’s still my best guess. I can’t imagine it being less than 40% and it might be as high as 80% of them.
Probably 90% of the unaffiliated Christian churches I personally know of are Charismatic/Pentecostal.
I attended an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church from 2001-2006. Currently I home-church but I am still Baptist in my thinking.
Agnostic, which basically means I’m too much of a coward to call myself an atheist. ;)
I would tend to agree, but then you have degrees of what is charismatic between different evangelical ministers. A prime example would be the Calvary Chapels ministries that are charismatic light in their teachings, compared to the Four Square Ministry Churches which are charismatic heavy?
Basically you make my point about them being one and the same almost.
I would agree that all Charismatic/Pentecostal groups agree on basic doctrine of modern operation of Holy Spirit’s gifts and the other cardinal doctrines of the faith.
Thanks.
LOL, I’m an episcamethabaptacostal myself.
AMEN. Me,too.
