I've tried to.
Soemtimes the idea doesn't translate too well from one person's idea to actual sketched drawing.
I've variously tried describing it from "I have to be able to see it in my head the same way I can see you with my eyes." to "I need to be able to 'feel' how it will look."
Doesn't make sense to others unfortunately.
