So are you saying the Ten Commandments were given to who? The Angles in heaven? that makes no sense.
I never said that, you are mistaking me for someone else?
Also, Jesus' fullfillment of the law, was to show how we could not possibly keep the commandments due to human sin, but the 10 commandments are STLL LEGITIMATE, allowing for forgivness when they are broken.

Or would that be the General_Re Institute of Hypocritical Analysis?
If you don't wish to answer the questions I've asked, I'll simply lay it on the line.
Courts, as I've said, routinely engage in the practice of examining the possible ramifications of a particular decision, as you've just done at #600. Therefore, it's a valid exercise in constitutional interpretation. They've also acknowledged, correctly, that decisions need to be based on rational principles that apply in circumstances which may not have happened yet.
I agree with your statement at #600 that government should not be interfering with the marketplace of ideas, and I trust you can agree that that principle should apply whether the ideas in question are religious or secular in nature (if you don't agree, then we're at a dead end). The question remaining is whether or not Moore's monument has that effect. The way to consider that question in its proper light is to look at it from different possible angles, such as what our reaction would be if it had been a secular monument placed in the exclusion of other secular displays. Would we still be liable to conclude that this constitutes a violation of the principle of non-interference in the marketplace of ideas? The answer to the one depends entirely on the answer to the other.
For some reason, which you haven't explained, you reject the attempt to look at the issue from the other angle I described. The closest you gave to a reason is that the alternate scenario hasn't happened. I don't see why that should matter. Our human intelligence has the ability to look at a situation before it happens, and inquire whether it's a good or a bad situation. We can hardly survive as humans without that ability, and there is simply no rational reason to avoid making use of it.

When I started seeing everything in grocery stores in Spanish, thats when!
This country is a Christian, english-speaking country. Those that dont like it, need to immigrate somewhere else!

Your interpretation would be that Congress can not make a law about an organized Church, but can make one about a disorganized Church. Of course, the level of organization - what is an Establishment and what is not - was never discussed by anyone. In order for it to be establishable, it needs to be organized enough to be an organ of the state - a la Church of England.

The people have come to realize that, A country can not stand for religious freedom for all if it is making one particular religion the majority. The best way for this religious freedom to continue without persecution of one over the other is for the government not to acknowledge one or the other. Basically abstaining from government religious references.

Just Spanish? Where I live, just about every package is labeled in English, Spanish, and French. It's only in your dreams that the USA is a Christian, English-speaking country.
Today, I have spoken to people in English, Spanish, and briefly, in Russian. Haven't seen any French speakers today, and I don't speak Tagalog, so I didn't understand the nice Filipino man I saw in the market.

You mean like Islam? Which has no officials, no ordination, and no official doctrine, but is an organ for a number of totalitarian states?

Atheists should not try and figure the bible out,
Which of course would preclude them from becoming believers
Perhaps I said that wrong: Atheists who quote the bible to put Christians in their place, ought to quit trying. . .it does not work.
Satan quotes the bible too - dont make him right!

Where did the Founders establish that standard? In fact, where did they talk about the need for an "organization" for a religion to qualify as establishable?

Judging from some of the comments i've read here,There are a lot of liberals and those who no nothing about the way this country was established nor do they understand the American philosophy. They are the reason America is collapsing.
To: MineralMan
Don't lie (at least not under oath)
Don't murder
Don't steal
And those three are in virtually every social system on the planet, regardless of religion.
A point I continually try to make. Not only that, but one needs to remember that these 3 (the only 3 that any Western Laws mirror in any way) were societal laws well before Moses' time.
To: MineralMan
So, am I less of a patriot than someone who adds those two words? I think not.
I dont think you are any less a patriot for not saying those words. But, you handle it correctly by simply not saying them - not attempting to have them removed. . .
