If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
May the Lord's Hand be upon the Surgeon's hand and everyone that comes into contact with this sweet GIFT FROM GOD! Please Lord ,make her be well! In Jesus Name , Amen.
Wow! So small and fragile...
Lord.we lift this child to You in prayer for healing and we pray,Lord, that You will give the surgeons, doctors and caretakers the skill and knowledge to save this little one and see her to a full recovery. Strengthen her little body and tenderly nurse her in the palm of Your Mighty Hand. In Jesus’ Name,Amen.
We’re staying close in prayer.
Joining in prayer.

Prayer bump.
Thanks LucyJo. The baby still has NOT had surgery. She can’t seem to stay stable long enough, but they are hoping that by Monday they will be able to try again. It almost leaves you breathless in this journey with her. Much like it was for us..... up and down and sadly, the downs have been quite often. She’s a fighter though..so by the Mercy of God, this child will live and thrive.
I’ll keep you posted when I hear something. Thank you so much for being here.
Nana
Thanks for the update, Nana. Mother and I were just thinking and talking about Layla today.
They all are in our prayers. Praying that she is strong and stable enough to have the needed treatment soon, and that it is successful, of course. God bless them and provide every need on this journey. The stress must be overwhelming at times.
(((((((Keeping Layla in my Daily Prayers)))))))
Hi Lucy Jo.... I just saw this :) I have out of town company but just had to tell you thank you. I have sent it on to the family :)
Layla is some better. They’re hoping any day to do the surgery. I’ll keep you updated as I hear.
Nana
Thanks for the news, Nana. We’re still praying daily for them.
Enjoy your company. : )
Thanks so much for continuing to be here Lucy Jo.. and I will send Layla your sweet bunny note from yesterday.
Layla’s surgery was scheduled for this morning. She wasn’t doing well enough for it at that time. HOWEVER, this afternoon at about 3 (ET), they came in and she was having more problems with rapid heart rate, then it would fall way below normal and she would dsat. The decision was made at that moment to go ahead. SURGERY ON HER PDA WAS PERFORMED AND SHE’S DOING FINE AT THE MOMENT.!!! Thank God! The surgeon told her mommy that he was afraid if they didn’t do it, they may not have a chance to do it... she was NOT doing well at all.
One note... 6 years ago when Logan was in and had trouble with a little valve in his heart (not the PDA), when surgery was performed they cracked open the chest wall to do these types of repairs. Now .. they are done via laproscopic method... amazing! Simply amazing! Layla’s surgery took a mere 20 minutes!!
I will again post an update on baby Layla when I hear more.
Blessings and thank you....
Nana
