Thanks so much for continuing to be here Lucy Jo.. and I will send Layla your sweet bunny note from yesterday.
Layla’s surgery was scheduled for this morning. She wasn’t doing well enough for it at that time. HOWEVER, this afternoon at about 3 (ET), they came in and she was having more problems with rapid heart rate, then it would fall way below normal and she would dsat. The decision was made at that moment to go ahead. SURGERY ON HER PDA WAS PERFORMED AND SHE’S DOING FINE AT THE MOMENT.!!! Thank God! The surgeon told her mommy that he was afraid if they didn’t do it, they may not have a chance to do it... she was NOT doing well at all.
One note... 6 years ago when Logan was in and had trouble with a little valve in his heart (not the PDA), when surgery was performed they cracked open the chest wall to do these types of repairs. Now .. they are done via laproscopic method... amazing! Simply amazing! Layla’s surgery took a mere 20 minutes!!
I will again post an update on baby Layla when I hear more.
Blessings and thank you....
Nana

Oh my nerves...yipes. We’re continuing to pray for this sweet little girl.
Praying hard for our little Layla and family and of course for guidance for her medical team.
Thanks to Nana for keeping us updated so well. HUGS
Oh, Nana, I'm so happy to hear that they have performed a successful operation on little Layla's heart! I've called to share the good news with Mother. We are joining you all in prayers of praise and thanksgiving. Continuing in prayers for all to be well with this precious little one and her family. God bless.
We have so much to be thankful for in this operation considering the advancements that have been made since Logan had his operation! Little Layla may not have made it through the procedure like Logan's. Twenty minutes...that's amazing! We're so very thankful to God for blessing and being with the surgeon and medical team, as well as with little Layla!
Layla is in my prayers.
Thank you for letting us know. Prayers continue...
