If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
As for our little friend who’s grandparents are fighting to keep him... it looks like the parents will indeed get him. The courts don’t care that this child’s life will be forever changed.
Thank you for your concern and caring cub.... But that fight is over.. sad to say.

Times like these give us the opportunity to share with friends the hopes and prayers and watch miracles unfold. When three or more are gathered...
Thank you so much for the photo! Prayers continue...
Nana told me that a stuffed puppy is on his way to stay with Layla in the hospital. It will be fun to see her outgrow her puppy just like you did yours!
Nana also told me how you've been praying for Layla. I just wanted you to know that we are praying for her at my house too.
Have a great week at Nana's!
Love you bunches,
LucyJo
How precious! Thanks so much for posting the picture, Kathy!
All I could think when I saw her was the greatness of God, and to imagine that tiny little hand grasping her mommy’s finger! And, now, her gramma’s finger too...I can imagine the emotion!
Praying every day for little Layla and her family. God bless and keep them close within His loving providential care, and provide every need for her successful development and good health.
How can one doubt His greatness....
Fight on, Layla!! Everyone is praying for you.
"Fight on, Layla!! Everyone is praying for you."
Amen!
Oh how sad. They should hold whomever made that decision responsible from here on in. We’ll keep that young fella in our prayers. Thank you for the info sad as it was.
Thanks for the post to Logan Lucy Jo. He was really impressed that it was directed to him! LOL He really does find joy is the purest sense of the word.
Thank you for your kindness....
Nana
Here's a picture of the baby just as she is about to cup her little fingers around her mommy's hand. Sam has to wear gloves ...everyone does...at this point.
The baby is doing really well considering. She is out from under the blue light for her billi problem, is on the lowest setting on the vent and while she still has received nothing but fluids, as soon as they can, they want to introduce a drop of mommy's milk.
Sam still hasn't been able to hold her because the baby is receiving fluids thru her navel. As soon as she's strong enough, they'll set a pic line and then she can be held.
Sam will be released tomorrow and while her dad's there, she'll stay at a hotel with them, then she'll transfer to the Ronald McDonald house.
Prayers are working :) Praise God and thanks to all who are here offering them.
Hugs and many, many thanks.......

Oh my .. tiny, tiny. God keep this wee sweet daughter
of Yours strong and feisty, and bless her docs with
great skill for the treatment regimes she needs.
Nana .. how deja vu this must be for you and Beth.
Just to think about it ... Oh, how miraculous is
God’s mercy and love.
I can tell that from his pictures, Nana. He just lights up a room with those Logan eyes and smile. It's hard to believe he'll be seven years old this year!
Amen
Oooh...she’s precious.....and tough as nails!
God bless this child and her loving family!
She is a beautiful baby. That is such a precious picture.
I know Sam can hardly wait to hold her!
Keeping them close in prayer. God bless her to continue to make good progress, grow stronger each day, and be able to get special sustenance from her mommy’s milk very soon.
Starwise was mentioning deja vu for you and Beth,Nana.
It’s kind of like that for all of us gathering here on Logan’s prayer thread too, I think.
Layla seems all the more special to us, in a way, because of her connection to Logan.
What a precious baby! Thank you so much for the update. Prayers continue...
Deja vu is an understatment Star :) I can’t believe how emotional this has been for Beth and for me. But we know the miracles that God has performed, the love and prayers that can give strength to her immediate family, so what better place to ask for help that here on Logan’s thread?
Layla is giving all signs of being a little fighter like Logan was. They have even had to put little covers on her hands today because she pulls at the tubes! So go baby girl go! Her mommy is a fiesty little one, as was her great granddaddy...I think she gets it naturally :)
Again, I will never, ever begin to express the gratitude for all who have been here and once again come back when the call for help is cried out.
Blessings.....
Nana
Thank you :)
