Update from Logan's Nana.....

Here's a picture of the baby just as she is about to cup her little fingers around her mommy's hand. Sam has to wear gloves ...everyone does...at this point.

The baby is doing really well considering. She is out from under the blue light for her billi problem, is on the lowest setting on the vent and while she still has received nothing but fluids, as soon as they can, they want to introduce a drop of mommy's milk.

Sam still hasn't been able to hold her because the baby is receiving fluids thru her navel. As soon as she's strong enough, they'll set a pic line and then she can be held.

Sam will be released tomorrow and while her dad's there, she'll stay at a hotel with them, then she'll transfer to the Ronald McDonald house.

Prayers are working :) Praise God and thanks to all who are here offering them.

I know Sam can hardly wait to hold her!

Keeping them close in prayer. God bless her to continue to make good progress, grow stronger each day, and be able to get special sustenance from her mommy’s milk very soon.

It’s kind of like that for all of us gathering here on Logan’s prayer thread too, I think.
Layla seems all the more special to us, in a way, because of her connection to Logan.

I’m not a physician but...that baby looks really good. Her color is really healthy looking and knows her mommy is there. Continued prayers for this sweet baby. God bless her and all her family. Thank you for the update. Wow.

Oh please God...guide the hands of the surgeons and bring this baby back to us so that she may grow and prosper in your name. Fight Baby Layla like you have never fought before. Fight for your right to live so that you can bring joy to your family and praise to God. We’re all pulling for you Layla and so is Logan. You can get your strength from him who also fought day and night. We will pray for you sweet baby girl...go into surgery and come out so that you can heal,go home, grow and live the life you were meant to live. God’s blessings on everyone involved in the care of this little one. Please God...help Layla. Amen.
