Thanks glock.

I've been in withdrawal - I've been off line since Monday night. I thought my ISP had disconnected me - figuring hubby had forgotten to pay the bill or sumptin because my password kept being rejected.

It was human error that kept me off line - MY OWN. It seems that I didn't check my keyboard and my daughter had pressed 'caps lock' while she was using it Monday evening - and my password is case sensitive.

Sometimes I'm a bit dense.

OTOH, it's amazing how much stuff I got done because I thought I was unable to get on line.

LOL! You're not alone on that one!

I couldn't log on to my online brokerage account one day and called the office to complain.

The patient young man who answered my call asked "Are you sure your 'caps lock' isn't on?"

End of story. I've never done that again!

LOL!! years back, I supervised a large computer help desk for a few years, and I should've learned what not to do several times over. right.

my dumbest trick is to delete all my cookies and then can't logon to FR. um... password? password... I know i wrote it down here somewhere... oh, yah, duh, it's at home. somewhere. um... maybe I could just freepmail Jim and... er... oops. duh.

And they were right!!!

That's OK. I still get an honorable mention for being the first in years and the first on the FReepathon thread.
I'll bet if I worked gr's hours I would get a few more funkles also. ;^)

my dumbest trick is to delete all my cookies and then can't logon to FR.

Ordinarily, I don't delete anything because I don't know what I'm doing and don't want to mess up.

When I changed to cable, I was getting all kinds of pop-ups that were driving me crazy, so I got a Pop-Up Stopper which also let me delete cookies but save the ones I wanted to keep.

I painstakingly entered in all the cookies I wanted to save and then "cleared all browser cookies" and to my surprise, it worked!

Being crazed with new found wisdom, a week or so later I deleted all my cookies from "Tools" and lost every one. What a mess! Took me hours to find all of my passwords and to log in to FR.

Moral of story (for me): Don't delete anything!

Same here!!!!!

Hubby has a set of passwords he uses for the kiddie websites we let Jax use and I don't know them and couldn't keep them straight even if I did - if I deleted cookies she would never be able to play her games on my computer if hubby isn't home. I'm not taking that chance - because she has even less patience than I when it comes to not being able to log in somewhere!!!

Yes, Joe, indeed you were the first in years and the first on the Freepathon thread!

You were also the first to actually understand the rules. Did you notice that Glock did another Fair Funkle Plus One.

I didn't mention it because I didn't want to embarrass him.
