The Free Republic 3rd quarter FReepathon is underway!
Howdy everyone. Time to get rolling again on raising the funds necessary to keep FR on the air. We've accomplished quite a bit in the last few years on FR, but there is much more work to be done. FReeper activism was an important factor in Clinton's impeachment effort as well as helping to block Al Gore's attempted theft of the White House. And more recently, FReepers organized and supported hundreds of rallies in cities all across the nation countering the peaceniks and rallying public support for our President and our troops. I thank God that George W. Bush was our President on 9/11 instead of Al Gore! And I thank God for the tens of thousands of patriotic FReepers who worked so hard to help make that happen!
The next 18 months or so are going to be supercritical in our continued fight against liberalism. The liberals will be attempting to retake control of our government and they will no doubt pull out all stops in regards to corruption in fundraising, campaigning and electioneering. And we still have the Clintons and their followers waiting in the wings. Even though President Bush enjoys high popularity ratings, anything can happen.
We must double and redouble our efforts to block the liberals and win a landslide election for Bush and the Republicans. If we give Bush and the Republicans a conservative mandate and a filibuster proof Senate then we will have an historic opportunity of appointing and approving a conservative court and a possibility of overturning decades of liberal activist rulings!
It's time to get this show on the road! I'm urging a nationwide FReeper drive to register voters and get out the conservative vote. This is not an election where we can afford to stay home or sit on our hands or register protest votes. Every conservative vote is critical!
And, as always, we must remain diligent. FReepers gathering and disseminating relevant news items, exposing and refuting liberal lies, propaganda and corruption coupled with our nationwide rallies and protests and activism are making a difference.
Looking forward to an exciting election cycle and many years of conservative successes to follow.
Thanks very much for your continuing participation and support!
FReegards,
Jim Robinson

I'm proud to see that North Carolinians - as poor as we are here - have donated more per FReeper than California, Florida, or Texas.
Guess that's why they call us "Tar Heels" - we're persistent.

You have every reason to be proud!
North Carolina has great numbers on the Scoreboard.
Love those 18 monthly donors, too.
Way to go, North Carolina!

good Monday morning, folks!
beautiful clear cool summer morning here in Salt Lake.... watching the moon set over the western mountains... I'm trying to drill this into my memory for later -- like when I get into the 200 degree cab of my truck this afternoon to go home :o}

Good morning.
I love the cool(er) weather we are having here this morning - but I could dowithout the rain - there should be a law that it only rains when I am sleeping.
My 20 mile round trip to take little one to pre-school this morning took me nearly an hour. It's 10 miles of 2 lane blacktop with no shoulders and numerous blind curves - how anyone can do 55mph on that road under good conditions is beyond me - let alone in the pouring rain.
SHEESH.

Good morning, Gabz!
How are you doing with the mold cleanup?
That two lane road sounds dangerous. You'll have to be extra careful in winter because of ice formation.

I think the mold cleanup is about wrapped up. If nothing else I've killed it all and have instituted new house rules, particularly for the little one, about wet clothes and towels.
It's really amazing, but there has been a very noticeable change in the entire household. The mood swings of the 3 of us could only be compared to a sorority house suffering from PMS at the same time. Gone - totally gone.
On Friday, the doctor confirmed that the problems we were experienceing most likely were related to the mold, particularly with Jax. It's been 5 days now since I have heard her cough - knock on wood, I think I've got this problem beat!!!!!!!
As to the 2 lane road - except for the highway - the only roads in this entire county are 2 lane. I am definitely not looking forward to winter driving. Fortunately, although I'm only 100 miles south of Dover, it's like a whole different world when it comes to winter weather. When I was shovelling out from under 33 inches of snow in February, they were complaining down here about the problems they had during the "blizzard" - they had all of 3 inches of snow.
