The Free Republic 3rd quarter FReepathon is underway!
Howdy everyone. Time to get rolling again on raising the funds necessary to keep FR on the air. We've accomplished quite a bit in the last few years on FR, but there is much more work to be done. FReeper activism was an important factor in Clinton's impeachment effort as well as helping to block Al Gore's attempted theft of the White House. And more recently, FReepers organized and supported hundreds of rallies in cities all across the nation countering the peaceniks and rallying public support for our President and our troops. I thank God that George W. Bush was our President on 9/11 instead of Al Gore! And I thank God for the tens of thousands of patriotic FReepers who worked so hard to help make that happen!
The next 18 months or so are going to be supercritical in our continued fight against liberalism. The liberals will be attempting to retake control of our government and they will no doubt pull out all stops in regards to corruption in fundraising, campaigning and electioneering. And we still have the Clintons and their followers waiting in the wings. Even though President Bush enjoys high popularity ratings, anything can happen.
We must double and redouble our efforts to block the liberals and win a landslide election for Bush and the Republicans. If we give Bush and the Republicans a conservative mandate and a filibuster proof Senate then we will have an historic opportunity of appointing and approving a conservative court and a possibility of overturning decades of liberal activist rulings!
It's time to get this show on the road! I'm urging a nationwide FReeper drive to register voters and get out the conservative vote. This is not an election where we can afford to stay home or sit on our hands or register protest votes. Every conservative vote is critical!
And, as always, we must remain diligent. FReepers gathering and disseminating relevant news items, exposing and refuting liberal lies, propaganda and corruption coupled with our nationwide rallies and protests and activism are making a difference.
Looking forward to an exciting election cycle and many years of conservative successes to follow.
Thanks very much for your continuing participation and support!
FReegards,
Jim Robinson
Great strategy General Mo'! :o)
"Long story short .. EVERYONE one was completely soaked and there were a lot of loud giggles from all the kiddies."
Ah, the fun and wonders of childhood!
The USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) was commissioned on Saturday, the Navy's ninth Nimitz class aircraft carrier. Named for the 40th U.S. President, this nuclear-powered vessel, which can operate for 20 years without refueling, is expected to meet the needs of the Navy and our country for 50 years. The ship was built by Northrop Grumman Newport News in Newport News, Virginia, and is slated for homeporting in San Diego, California, which Ronald Reagan considered his "lucky city" for beginning successful political campaigns.
The ship's motto "Peace Through Strength" is taken from a September 24, 1988 radio address to the nation on foreign policy, in which President Reagan uttered these words, "If we have learned anything these last eight years, it's that peace through strength works."
The ship carries a unique piece of artwork, a bronze profile of the ship's namesake, affixed to a small portion of the Berlin Wall, evoking President Reagan's stirring challenge in June 1987, "Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall." The artist, Chas Fagan, a former Soviet Studies major, remarked, "The events ... [since 9-11] have called on us to apply a bit of Reagan-like resolve in facing down those who would do us harm. The name 'Ronald Reagan' is a bold reminder of the strength that comes from character and steadfastness. ...The USS Ronald Reagan will sail with the memory of the President."
President Bush said at the ship's christening, "When we send her off to sea, it is certain that the Ronald Reagan will meet with rough waters, as well as smooth, and headwinds as well as fair. But she will sail tall and strong, like the man we have known. ...We live in a world shaped in so many ways by his will and heart. As President, Ronald Reagan believed without question that tyranny is temporary, and the hope of freedom is universal and permanent; that our nation has a unique goodness, and must remain uniquely strong; that God takes the side of justice, because all our rights are His own gifts. The strength of these beliefs gave strength to our allies and hope to political prisoners, and courage to average citizens in oppressed nations, and leadership to our military and to our country. Some achievements fade with the years. Ronald Reagan's achievements grow larger with the passing of time."

There are some vocals on the Piano Praise. On the 2002 version of it, Sea said that our rendition of "Battle Hymn of the Republic" sent shivers down her spine.
But most of it is piano.
My kids, like I did are trying to keep the band aid companies in business
Just a cool pic and a bump for the road!
