FReepers: Now's the time. Stand up and be counted. The C-in-C needs our help…

URGENT: The Commander-in-Chief needs our help. Our brave military needs our support. Heck, America needs our leadership.
Were in a very real, potentially very hot war not of our choosing, but one that each one of us has a responsibility to help win. We on the center-Right to Right side of the political spectrum cannot afford to cede the public relations aspects of this war to the Left and to the terrorists and tyrants the Leftists coddle with their stupid protests. Unlike the 1960s, if we sit back and dont respond to the Left, this time we may very well sign our own death warrants and those of our children and grandchildren. We simply cannot let the enemy win.
Yesterday, Hollywood Leftist mouthpiece, Mike Farrell, was on the Sean Hannity radio program. In response to a caller who tried her best to tell him off, he issued a challenge. In his most condescending, scornful, smug manner, he essentially told her to go out and organize her own protests if she didnt like what he and his fellow travelers were doing.
OK! Fine. For the last several days Ive been having a little debate with myself as to whether or not to try to start what I would call the "Six Little Words" campaign. Finally decided that, instead of "grumbling in my beer" about the likes of Mr. Farrell, or taking my anger out on the family and dogs, I decided hes right. Its time to take up Farrells challenge. Perhaps he unwittingly awoke a sleeping giant: Americans everywhere who oppose the Lefts agenda. Or perhaps not. We shall see.
We on the Right tend not to go out in the streets and protest. But can we at least rouse ourselves to do something very easy, very inexpensive, and very quick to make OUR voices heard? How, you ask? With "Six Little Words" that just may help save our civilization.
Its time for you, and I, and everyone who understands the danger, to stand up and be counted. Its time to see what we're really made of after all, if the hijackings and anthrax atrocities of Sept. and Oct. 2001, and the sniper attacks last year, have taught us anything, it is that we are all on the front lines in this war.
Pick up a pen or pencil, take a piece of paper and write: IRAQ: I SUPPORT YOU, MR. PRESIDENT. Put the paper in an envelope, seal it, slap a stamp on it, and mail it to:
President George W. Bush
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
DO NOT USE EMAIL TO CONTACT THE WHITE HOUSE. Handwritten letters are still the most effective way to contact our elected officials. Volume emails (spam) just pile up and often are deleted without being read. There is still no substitute for millions of pieces of mail arriving at the Presidential offices.
Be sure to send the letters to the WHITE HOUSE, not Congress. Congress is out of this now, since they already authorized the President to take all necessary action. They are not likely to take up another resolution. However, if youre in the mood, make COPIES of your "Six Little Words" letter to the President and send ONE EACH to your member of Congress and your states two senators. If you dont know who they are or where to address the envelopes, look here: House. and Senate.
Then talk to, phone and/or email your family, friends, business associates, neighbors, local political clubs, and anyone else you can think of, and urge them to do the same. It should not be one letter per household, but one letter for each person in the household old enough to sign their own name.
So what if the Left can turn out millions in the streets. Each and every one of us has the power to counter them. We FReepers should be able to generate millions of "Six Little Words" letters to the President with even a small effort.

Welcome to FR!

I was looking for a graphic the other day to tease another FReeper.....well, it was there, along with a few others for the taking....I figured it'd come in handy here in FR (gee, I wonder why I thought THAT, lol!)

God bless and keep safe our folks in uniform on the front lines and their families here at home. If there is a way for you to spread word about the "Six Little Words" letter campaign among folks in your area, please do. Every single letter is a simple, yet powerful, way to show our support for those who are out there protecting us.

My P 4 P (postcard for President) goes out in the box tomorrow morning!

PS: To express concern is not the same as expressing criticism. Rush, Sean and Bennett were expressing concern for the President, not criticism of him. As for myself, I am very nearly devoted to this President and am already gearing up to campaign for him in '04, as I did in '00.

"Annie," a gentle suggestion, if I may: don't make it a post card. Put it in an envelope. Has a greater impact.

Hi Navy, FReegard to you, also. Tony Blair is in trouble and needs to go back to the UN for another resolution. So this may take at least another month to play out. That's another month the Left gets to play it's lousy games. The C-in-C (and through him, our fold in the military) needs our support now. It may be wishful thinking, but I'm hoping this "Six Little Words" campaign spreads far and wide, and that the White House is flooded with letters of support. This President will do what he believes to be the right thing, no matter what. But politically, he needs as much support from the American public as we can help muster to counterbalance the Leftist crap. That's where we come in.

I'll consider putting my postcard in an envelope....but, take it from me, the picture on the front of the card is part of my message!
To: Wolfstar
Eve and I will spread to word here. May I suggest that if anyone can a faxed letter is better because of security. I know not everyone can fax a letter to the President.
The last letter we sent the President we just said Dear President Bush,
We are glad that you are our President and we thank you are doing a good job.
Please say howdy to Mrs. Bush for us.
Dub & Eve
They sent us a photo which I have on my office wall.
