FReepers Against Voter Fraud - (Thread 2)
November 29, 2002 | sweetliberty

Posted on 11/29/2002 8:42:21 PM PST by sweetliberty

Since I am renewing this thread a little sooner than planned, I am leaving the original body of the thread in place and just making additions of references at this time. I think it is important to keep the statement of purpose and how we came to it at the forefront for now. Later on, as more people become aware of the thread and how it is set up, I will probably change it some and just give a link back to the original.

"The right of citizens to vote and have their vote count is the cornerstone of our democracy - the necessary precondition of government of the people, by the people and for the people. Enforcing the laws that guarantee voting rights and punish voting fraud is the duty of the Department of Justice. More than mere law enforcement, our responsibility to protect the access to and integrity of elections is the responsibility of upholding freedom itself.

America is a nation whose founding documents and most inspired words uphold the ideal of democratic self-government as a model for the world. The opening phrases of the Declaration of Independence declare that governmental power, if it is to be just, must be derived from the consent of the governed. The Constitution begins, purposefully and deliberately, with these three words: "We the people . . ."

America has failed too often to uphold the right of every citizen's vote, once cast, to be counted fairly and equally. Votes have been bought, voters intimidated and ballot boxes stuffed. The polling process has been disrupted or not completed. Voters have been duped into signing absentee ballots believing they were applications for public relief. And the residents of cemeteries have infamously shown up at the polls on election day.

Today, it is more important than ever before that we embrace the privilege that makes us unique among the peoples, nations and societies of human history. Our way of life is not a given, and our freedom is not an accident. Liberty is a rare gift for which millions have worked and suffered and sacrificed and died. It now falls to us to guard this gift from those who would destroy it. It falls to us, the free, to ensure that the cornerstone of our freedom - government of the people, by the people, and for the people - does not perish from the earth."

(Excerpted from remarks of Attorney General John Ashcroft at the Voting Integrity Symposim - October 8, 2002)

LINK TO THREAD 1

It has been quite a month and overall a victorious one for Republicans. The new year looms bright on the horizon with the promise of much needed changes taking place now that we have the majority in both the House and Senate and with the opportunity to finally have some conservative judges seated who will uphold the Constitution rather than legislating the socialist agenda of the Democrats from the bench and Tiny Tommy Daschle and his obstructionist thugs have been spanked soundly and sent to their rooms.

While we had several days of delirious gloating, drunk on the thrill of a hard earned and well-deserved victory, we know all too well that the election and the events leading up to it were not without incident and once again the deck was stacked against us as the Democrats tried every trick in the book in yet another shameless effort at stealing an election. With the blatant disregard for the law so characteristic of them when it obstructs their designs, they managed to get a liberal kangaroo court to uphold the replacement of Torricelli on the ballot in New Jersey beyond the legal deadline for doing so for no other reason than having determined that the scandal and corruption surrounding Torricelli rendered him incapable of winning. In Minnesota, prior to Paul Wellstone's ill-fated final flight, a plan was uncovered that had Democrats busing in students from out of state to take advantage of Minnesota's same day voter registration to vote illegally for Paul Wellstone. Even as this was being revealed, the campaign was underway to push a similar same day registration legislation in Colorado and California, thereby opening new avenues for illegal voting in those states. In South Dakota Democrat operatives (sorry, I cannot bring myself to use the word "Democratic") paid a field worker in excess of $12,000 over a period of 3 months to register native Americans on the reservations. It was later discovered that many registration cards that had been turned in by that worker had been written in the same handwriting. Among the newly registered was at least one who was known to be recently deceased. This and other irreglarities that were uncovered in South Dakota has led to 1 out of 10 ballots there being under investigation. Fish need water, plants need sunshine, an addict needs a fix and Democrats need power and these three cases are just samples of the extent to which they will go to get it.

The idea for this thread was born following the Arkansas Hog Wild FReepers' discovery of organized intimidation tactics on the part of Democrat and NAACP operatives in Jefferson County, Arkansas as relayed by FReeper, stop_the_rats, a Republican poll watcher who gained undesired and unfair national notoriety during early voting, and by a Republican campaign worker who "infiltrated" the Clinton led, pre-election campaign "event" there. The original story was posted as part of the after-FReep report with more detail added in a post-election update. The story generated such outrage that the thread turned into a FReeper brainstorm as we labored over how we might counteract the dishonest methods employed by the Democrats to hijack elections. The effort yielded an abundance of references and it was generally agreed that voter fraud is, or at least should be, of great concern to all of us. There is a strong probability that the South Dakota election was stolen and in Arkansas the fraud machine was spinning out of control and may well have cost Tim Hutchinson his senate seat as well, despite the shadow cast over him in the wake of his divorce and remarriage. Chances are that we'll never know. Thankfully neither of these races ended up being the tie-breaker that would determine the balance of power in the Senate, but either could have been and had that been the case, you can bet it would have gotten really ugly and may have produced an entirely different result.

Even as the Democrats are still licking their wounds and wondering what on Earth happened on November 5, they are already scrambling and scheming and conniving as to ways to prevent our intercepting their next power grab in 2004. This is revealed in their ongoing efforts to block any attempt to validate a voter's legitimacy whether it be by requiring a legal form of ID at the polls, the repeal of motor voter legislation, cracking down on absentee balloting and early voting, doing away with same day registration or by the presence of poll watchers at polling places. In every case they play the race card crying "black voter intimidation" when in reality they are simply thrashing against the net that could trap those guilty of voting illegally thereby inhibiting travel on their familiar roads of voter fraud. Thankfully, Republicans were more diligent this year and undoubtedly made an impact. More questionable ballots were challenged, more questions raised, more accountability called for and more light shed on irregularities. Until recently, prosecution for voter fraud has been virtually unheard of, but that is starting to change. There have been hundreds of stories published over the past several weeks relating to voting irregularities and credible allegations of fraud. Some have led to criminal charges being filed and still others have led to investigations which are ongoing. While it is unlikely that all election fraud can be stopped, it is much harder for it operate under a spotlight, which is exactly why we must each do our part to make sure that the spotlight stays on those "shadowy" recesses where voting machines mysteriously vanish, ballot boxes are obscured from view and the demons of electoral darkness run amok.

It was suggested that the opening remarks of Attorney General John Ashcroft be used as the basis of our mission statement for this thread. In these precarious times when we are at war and we are threatened daily by terrorism, our liberty has become more precious than ever and we must be vigilant to protect it not only from foreign invaders, but also from those who would erode it from within by compromising the integrity of our elections. In order to succeed in a battle it is essential to know the enemy and attack at his greatest point of vulnerability. Included here is a list of links, which while by no means exhaustive, can serve to enlighten the electorate. Many of these stories are from Arkansas only because this was the springboard for this thread and we look forward to other FReepers adding stories from their own areas as well as any based in personal experience. The original thread also produced a wealth of resources as we discussed who we should contact if we became aware of voting irregularities or suspected fraud. Again the list of links is far from comprehensive and additions are welcome. Of course the whole point of this exercise is to get more conservative voters involved in changing the laws to close loopholes which make it easy to cheat, to promote the enforcement of existing election laws and to take part in the election process at the local level all with the goal of intercepting future fraud campaigns. In other words our goal is to STOP THE RATS FROM HIJACKING THE ELECTION PROCESS AND TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!

Many thanks to all the wonderful FReepers who contributed their time, energy and ideas to produce the foundation for this thread:

For their contributions of information and links, thank you to kcvl; kayak; zeaal; demosthenes the elder; terriergal; Brad's Gramma; Budge; TheLion; backhoe; ForGod'sSake; Congressman Billybob; nicmarlo; Ragtime Cowgirl; to ST.LOUIE1 for his graphics and of course to Jim Robinson who has given us this great forum and sense of purpose. A very special thanks and salute goes out to stop_the_rats for her patriotism and tenacity in facing down the enemy within. She is a warrior of whom we should be proud. What a great screen name AND battle cry for the mission of this thread!

On thread 2, I also want to thank Saundra Duffy, Mia T and mlmr for their alerting us to a couple more hot spots and also providing some additional information. Thank you to diotima, ffrancone, and Nick Danger for their efforts to move this campaign beyond Free Republic and disseminate information for public consumption. Updates on this effort will be posted regularly as well. Geist Krieger, has provided a very interesting and in depth analysis of methods of voting and their impact on our elections. If anybody has a means of storing a document for public access, please let me know and I will FReepmail it to you so that a link can be posted. It is quite long.

AWARENESS

KNOW THY ENEMY! If you're like me, you once had a naive trust in the integrity of our elections in America. All that changed for me though, with the election debacle of 2000 when it became readily apparent that Al Gore was trying to steal the presidency and his operatives were so desperate that they were doing it right in the face of the American people. I was absolutely furious but I believed that now that people could see the Clinton/Gore political machination for the shameless assault on America that it was, they would wake up and demand accountability from those responsible. I really wasn't prepared for seeing how many people would continue to perpetrate the lies the Democrats told even in the face of that fiasco and how many would continue to buy into them. Even after that I believed that surely, now that it was out in the open, something would be done to fix it before the next election. I also was not prepared to discover the extent to which voter fraud had woven its way into our political system like a burrowing parasite with expanding tentacles entwining themselves around the arteries of freedom. The sense of betrayal I have felt has been disheartening, to say the least, but it gave rise to the outrage that made me determined to try to do something about it. If you read even a few of these links, it will change forever the way you look at future elections and will hopefully encourage you to be part of the solution.

If any of these links become outdated many of these articles are posted in their entirity on the original FReep thread. If you let me know via FReepmail, I will make editorial adjustments accordingly before renewing the thread.

ACCESS

In order to effect changes it is important to have channels through which we can make our voice heard. One reason the Democrats get away with as much as they do is because they make a lot of noise. It is time WE make some noise of our own. There are a number of individuals, organizations and media sources who support our Constitution and seek to protect the integrity of our elections. Here are a few of them. Rather than clutter the body of this thread with a long list of email addresses, I will post the websites. Most of these have contacts and email addresses on them. While I have not listed any here, it is important to keep in mind that just because a source is on the opposing side doesn't mean that they can't still be used to our advantage. Consider this parable of Jesus.

"In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man. "There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, 'Give me legal protection from my opponent.' "For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, 'Even though I do not fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.'" (Luke 18: 2-5)

ELECTION LAW

Election laws and practices vary widely from state to state, and therein lies part of the problem. In order to address the issues we need first to know what the law, as it currently exists is and work within it and where applicable work to see that it is enforced. Second, you will come to discover that many of the opportunities for fraud are born from flaws in the laws themselves, in which case we need to work on getting those laws changed. Below is a very brief list of some election laws and guidelines which we have referenced recently. I am sure this section will grow considerably as others add their contributions.

ACTION

What can FReepers do? For starters we can identify states that will have key races in the 2004 election. Is your state one of them? Are there known problem precincts in YOUR county? Let's start getting important information about the race, the candidates, the electoral history of the state, the laws in that state and how open they may leave the process to tampering, history of voter fraud in the state, conservative media outlets there, and whatever else you can think of that might be relevant to equip the electorate to head off problems in advance.

Democrats LIE! Their biggest and most effective lie is that Republicans are deliberately trying to prevent blacks and/or other minorities from voting. In effect, they're calling us racists. The truth is that it is them who seem to consider blacks and other minorities so inferior and ignorant and lacking in initiative that they are incapable of voting without the benefit of THEIR (the Democrats') "guidance" and "protection". They squeal "intimidation" at every opportunity and intimidation certainly comes into play. The real question is "who is doing the intimidating?" Their greatest fear is that blacks will recognize how badly they've been duped and insulted by these people and leave the party in droves. That can work in our favor if we work with it. Black conservatives have perhaps the greatest responsibility for telling other black voters the truth about the Democrat party, although it is certainly something we should all work on. Independent thought is the enemy of the Democrats.

Talk about election fraud. Bring it up whenever an opportunity presents itself. Keep a notebook at all times and if someone tells you anything pointing to vote fraud, get more details. Write down such things as county, precinct, candidates in the race, name of the witness and whatever else you can think of. If it seems credible, report it to someone, then follow it up and find out what, if anything, was done with the information.

Have your elected officials, city attorneys, election officers and judges in your email address book, your regular address book and on speed dial. When you become aware of a credible allegation of voter fraud, get busy and push for them to prosecute offenders very publicly and to the FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW! If a few people are seen to be doing time for their electoral indiscretions, observers may be less willing to follow suit.

Rally others and spend election day in parking areas of and near problem polling places at ready with notebook and camera. A favorite technique of Democrats is to load up buses full of paid voters and haul them from precinct to precinct to cast multiple votes. Getting license numbers of these buses and observing them closely could yield enough evidence to prove fraud. Note or photograph anything "out of the ordinary".

"Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything." (Josef Stalin)

Take part in the process. Here is a list of suggestions that stop_the_rats posted on another thread:

1. Plan to take election day off in 2004.
2. Be a poll worker. You get paid for this.
3. Be a poll watcher. Call your local Republican headquarters or the campaign office of one of your Republican candidates and volunteer to be a poll watcher.
4. Count absentee ballots. You get paid for this also.
5. Be a poll closer. It's a long day. Some people who can't poll watch because of work, could agree to come after work for 2 hours and close the polls to give poll watchers a break. Get final counts and make sure no "late" voters turn up.
6. Take lunches to poll workers and poll watchers.
7. Man the headquarters so if problems arise, poll workers or watchers have a place to call for help. Have a list of numbers: local election officals, state officals.
8. Find a person who will agree to "be in charge"of all the rules poll watchers and poll workers need to follow. Each state has rules and in some cases, state election representatives will come to your city and give a presentation.
9. Encourage others to get involved.
10. Smile; we have them worried!

Some might want to take it a step furthur, if that is an option in your area, and be an election judge. Or you may have specific talents and training that you could donate to the cause, such as legal assistance and advice.

Finally; ask questions. FReepers have an uncanny ability to ask the right questions in most any situation AND to find answers and we have an inexhaustable resource right here on Free Republic. Here are just a few questions to start with.

"If fraud is suspected, how do we find out who is behind it?"

"How do we work to get cooperation between poll watchers and workers and clarify expectations on all sides BEFORE an election?"

"How can you prove fraud? What is legal in a given state (photos, tape recording, witness statements, compiling a list of names, video taping) and how can these techniques be implemented in a non-obtrusive way?"

How limiting is jurisdiction on working in some capacity at the polls? This may vary from state to state. For example, during the training for counting absentee ballots in Pulaski County, Arkansas, I was told that to be a poll worker or to count ballots, you had to be a resident of the county in which you served, but that a poll watcher could be from anywhere as long as he or she was authorized by the candidate or party. This could be very useful to pursue. In the 2002 election, in spite of all the Rat hype, there was still a shortage of Republican poll watchers in a number of "problem" locations. There were also quite a few FReepers who expressed a desire to do something, but there were no particular problems in their own areas. If we can, in fact, be poll watchers anywhere, that may have great potential for wider coverage of historically fraud prone precincts in future elections.

And last, but certainly not least, pray!

"If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" (Psalm 33:12a)

FReepers; your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get out there and STOP THE RATS!

.....

As information has been posted, I have been keeping track of counties that have a history of voting "irregularities" and/or blatant fraud or in which there is legal action currently pending. From that information I have generated a county "watch list". This is not only to alert those seeking to combat the voter fraud travesty, but also to put those responsible for it on notice that the game is up and the heat is on. This list will no doubt grow as more cases come to light, and by all means, if you know of such concerns in your local areas, alert this thread and have the offending county "hot listed". It is the contributions of FReepers that will make this effort work!

Thanks for the link....I think that whole election will depend on the amount of vote fraud by the rats. What a sad state of affairs.

Seems to me lately that that is the case far more than we'd like to think. This one has a lot of weird, local variables too though.

South Dakota;

Voter fraud claims surface
By Denise Ross, Journal Staff Writer

South Dakota's U.S. Attorney's Office and state Attorney General's Office are reviewing dozens of affidavits alleging voting irregularities, including voters being paid, in South Dakota's U.S. Senate election.

The Republican National Committee gathered the affidavits beginning the day after the Nov. 5 election, which resulted in just 524 votes separating incumbent Democratic Sen. Tim Johnson from Republican Rep. John Thune.

"It is our hope that the proper authorities will investigate this, and the people of South Dakota can determine whether they need to make changes to the system," RNC spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt said.

Johnson spokesman Bob Martin called the RNC's work "an orchestrated effort to taint the election results" and said Republicans continue to lack proof to support voter-fraud allegations.

The RNC dispatched about 10 attorneys and other officials to South Dakota the day after the election to gather information to help Thune decide whether to seek a recount.

After Thune decided to accept his defeat, the RNC officials returned to Washington, Schmitt said.

"People continued to come to us with information," Schmitt said. "A lot of people were frustrated by what they saw going on and wanted people to know what they saw."

State GOP officials and Thune staffers referred all calls to the RNC and would not answer questions about how involved they are in collecting the allegations.

Two weeks ago, the national party turned its information over to the top state and federal law enforcement offices in South Dakota.

Specific allegations include:

* Three voters who claim they were paid $10 after voting on the Rosebud Indian Reservation.

* A claim that election workers in Davison County placed a white sticker over a lightly-colored-in Thune vote so a machine that had rejected the ballot could count the other votes cast on it. That move negated the vote for Thune.

* Claims that, in some precincts, voters gave multiple names to poll workers, who searched until a match was found.

* Claims of a high degree of coordination among official election workers and Democratic Party get-out-the-vote staffers in some precincts.

"Workers were freely sharing, and in some cases, offering information on who had or hadn't voted, while Republican workers had to go through the more formal channels to get that information," Schmitt said.

The RNC would not provide copies of the affidavits to The Rapid City Journal "for privacy reasons," Schmitt said.

United Press International did obtain copies of three affidavits given by three American Indians from Todd County. UPI quoted from one in a Friday story. "I was promised $10 if I would go vote. I was given a ride to the polls in a van with Tim Johnson for Senate signs in the window. The name of the van driver was Terry. After I voted, the van took me back from the polling place. When Terry dropped me off, he offered me $10 for voting."

Martin of Johnson's office said affidavits don't carry any legal weight and said continuing coverage of alleged voter fraud on Indian reservations in right-leaning news organs equates to racism. The Web site for the political magazine National Review offers a preview of its Dec. 23 issue - Johnson's face with the words "South Dakota's Invalid Senator" stamped across it and the headline, "How the Democrats Stole a Senate Seat."

"Who says they didn't give the person who signed the affidavit $10 or $20? It smacks of racism," Martin said. "The election's over, and they should move on. What is wrong with Native Americans in South Dakota using their right to franchise, their right to vote just like any other South Dakotan? Aren't they allowed to vote in equal percentages as white South Dakotans? John Thune's been silent about this. If he wanted it to stop, it would. So much for John Thune being a classy guy in the way he's exited this."

Schmitt said RNC officials fanned out across the state and did not focus solely on Indian reservations.

"We're not focusing on Indian reservations. We are focusing on where it appears there may have been serious problems on Election Day. It's only fair to the people of South Dakota to hand this information over to the proper authorities," Schmitt said. "Thune hasn't asked us to stop, so that's a moot point. He hasn't been involved."

South Dakota Deputy Attorney General Bob Mayer said his office still is reviewing the allegations and has not yet opened an official criminal investigation into any of them.

"We do have allegations and accusations. Our office reviews them and determines which ones merit follow-up," Mayer said. "If there are some, we assign the Division of Criminal Investigation to go out and case those allegations. If we had an allegation that somebody was paying somebody to vote a certain way, that would merit further investigation."

State Elections Supervisor and Secretary of State-elect Chris Nelson said most of the allegations are of criminal activity, which means law enforcement agencies will handle them. Nelson said any change in the election outcome would be a decision for the U.S. Senate.

"The U.S. Senate itself determines the qualifications of its members. They can make a determination. In this case, the courts are not the final arbiter. It is the Senate themselves," Nelson said.

Michael Savage Nails Vote Fraud!

Dems Promote Voter Fraud

Michael Savage
Friday, March 8, 2002
We have voter fraud running rampant in America.
The other day I went into my local polling booth, gave them my name – old ladies, all liberals of course, from the League of Women Voters, to make sure Republican ballots are treated unfairly.

In fact, they said one to the other, "How is he registered?" They didn't know who I was, and one whispered to the other, "Republican," and the other looked at me with glaring alarm, as if an alien had walked into the voting booth.

Here in Taliban County, not far from Rat Boy's high school, if anyone says he is Republican, I am surprised that they don't call the police, release attack dogs and turn on the fire hoses!

I pulled out my driver's license and I said, "Would you like to see my ID?" The old gray lady with tennis sneakers said, "OH, NO."

I said, "What do you mean, "Oh, no"? How do you know I am who I am? I am trying to defend the voting system."

"Oh, no," she said.

Ladies and gentlemen, in America today we have lost that which your ancestors died for – our sacred right to vote. If you offer your photo ID and have it refused, you will be considered to be committing a hate crime.

In the upside down, Alice-in-Wonderland world ruled by psychotic liberals, voter fraud is now considered a civil right. And if you try to prevent voter fraud, it is now considered a hate crime. The liberals have destroyed our voting system, and I can prove it to you right now and I am going to name names.

I will give you the names of two public enemies with regard to reforming election fraud.

Right now there's a Republican bill in the Senate that would require a photo ID for anyone who wants to vote. Now, we know that photo IDs can be faked, but we know that it is much better than just a signature.

Take a guess which two U.S. senators are trying to block the use of photo IDs for voters. None other than Chuck "Upchuck" Schumer in New York, the ambulance chaser, the man with no shame, the man who looks like he just got out of a courtroom after settling a chain accident for illegal immigrants.

And on the West Coast, Ron Wyden of Oregon is trying to block fixing the voting system. Now, you have to ask yourself why. Why would Wyden widen cheating on votes?

Why would a radical liberal like Ron Wyden – who is tied to Enron's auditor, Arthur Anderson, by the way – widen cheating on votes? What is in it for the radical liberals? Well, the answer is so simple.

I will read you what Wyden has to say. He said, "The 2000 ballot recount in Florida taught us that the goal of election reform should be to simplify the system and make it more inclusive. The narrow photo ID requirement of the election reform bill could effectively straitjacket voters, not just in Oregon, but across the country. That's why I have offered the amendment to allow more flexibility."

Now, the key word here is "inclusive," which is a code word for illegal alien and those not entitled to vote. And the phrase "narrow photo ID requirement" is another giveaway that he is trying to permit illegal aliens to vote, in my not-so-humble opinion.

Ron Wyden and "Upchuck" Schumer should be censured by the United States Senate for blocking voter reform.

For so many years we have screamed, "Stop the illegal votes! Stop the illegals from voting! Stop the vote scam!" And now we know who is protecting the vote scammers: Ron Wyden and Upchuck Schumer.

How you liberals, who claim to love liberty, can vote for these two, I don't know. Wyden wants it to be more "inclusive"? Does that include the Arabs who come here to kill us? Is that what he wants? Does he want to give those who want to bomb us the right to vote with fake IDs? What kind of inclusion do you mean, Mr. Wyden?

I want you to read another thing that Wyden has to say: "The goal of this Amendment is to make certain that overly stringent identification requirements ..." Now, wait a minute, how can you have "overly stringent" identification requirements?

Ron Wyden says, "The goal of this Amendment is to make certain that overly stringent identification requirements do not disenfranchise eligible voters or compromise Oregon and Washington's unique mail ballot systems." Want to take a guess which national organizations oppose the photo ID requirements?

* The League of Women Voters in the U.S., a radical front group * The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, a radical front group * The American Association of Retired Persons, a radical pressure group * The National Hispanic Leadership Agenda, a radical socialist group * The National Council of La Raza, a racist group * The Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund, an anti-American racist group * The NAACP Legal Defense Fund, an anti-white pressure group

In my opinion, each of the above wants to maintain voter fraud. They do not want your vote to remain sacred. They want to make certain that those not eligible to vote can continue to skew elections and put in power rats and skunks of the type we have now.

What do you do if you wake up one day and find out your country has been stolen from you? You go on the radio and say it like it is and let the chips fall where they may.

I am going to tell you how your parents voted. I am going to tell you exactly what the situation was when your parents voted in this country. And you will learn that identification for voting in America today is still on the honor system.

In a time of total corruption, in a time of war, in a time where we are riddled with 10-15 million illegal aliens, these left-wing radicals still say we need this honor system. Signatures, if taken, are not compared to your signature on file in most places, unless you are challenged by election judges or poll watchers, which rarely happens.

Of course, it might happen if you are a white male and a registered Republican.

When the system started hundreds of years ago, as you well know, the election judges and poll watchers in your town knew most everyone in their precincts. In modern America, this is uncommon. Ladies and gentlemen of the United States of America, your voting system is totally bankrupt. Voter fraud is totally out of control.

The Republicans answering the call of the American citizen have tried to put in a sensible photo ID requirement. The radical left-wing harpies are trying to block even this. They are traitors and should be investigated by the Senate. I only wish we had a Sen. McCarthy to uncover their true loyalty.

Their True Colors Aren't Red, White, and Blue

Democrat fails in stealing the 2002 election

By James Devlin

We thought all the problems were over back in 2000 when the Supreme Court finally said enough recounts and deemed George Bush the winner, but it appears that the problem has not disappeared. Even though George Bush won in literally every recount, Democrats still claim to this very day that Al Gore won. Now, in the 2002 election, with the failures of 2000 looming overhead, Democrats once again broke out with outrageous claims and insane acts and attempts at stealing the election.

The first claim comes from the Democratic Party themselves. The Democrats claimed to have over thirty thousand lawyers and other people at the voting polls to record every complaint in an attempt to make a case of voter fraud. Here they go again, making smoke where there is no fire. Each party has representatives to keep an eye on each other in a fair manner already. Since Democrats are doing this, Republicans had to resort to get their own lawyers to try to keep the Democrat ones in check as they tried yet again to steal the election. Still it doesn't stop there. In one particular place, Democrats had a law changed to allow one of their candidates be changed past deadline because he or she was losing so badly.

So far every case of voter fraud has been from the Democrats. There is a case of a Democratic worker caught with duplicate, forged, burned absentee ballots. This worker later admitted to tracing and burning some of the ballots and still denied any wrongdoing. In some places, it is legal to vote more than once due to some loopholes. Democrats waste no time in taking advantage of this by having people claim multiple residencies so that they may vote multiple times. While they continue to take advantage of these loopholes, Democrats also fight against laws to prevent voter fraud that would close up these loopholes. Currently, they are fighting a law that would prevent voters from voting if their names are not on the reregistered list or they can reasonably prove they are eligible to vote. They also fight for same day registration. The reason same day registration is illegal is to prevent voter fraud. In the olden days, Democrats used to go down in buses to homeless shelters and promise them alcohol, food, water, etc. if they voted for their candidate. They'd then drive the homeless people to the polls, register them, have them vote, and drop them back off at bars or halls where beer and what not was rented out for them. There have been cases of a woman applying for an absentee ballot after she died or another person filling out one hundred and fifty registration cards and the poll worker realized this but still went ahead and submitted them. In Florida, things are even worse than before. Tom Daschle's home state is becoming quite a landmark as it is being investigated because apparently the Democratic Party paid $12,000 to a person in a voter fraud probe. In Missouri, absentee ballots are missing and many voters never received ballots that they requested as well as misprints on ballots.

Still, it doesn't end there. Possibly the most blatantly obvious case of voter fraud was in Arkansas. Democratic officials in Arkansas proceeded to ask a Democrat judge, Judge Collins Kilgore, in Pulaski County to extend the voting hours from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The judge granted the Democratic officials their request without even discussing it with Republican officials but to 9:00 p.m. instead of 10:00 p.m. It is the right of all people to vote and Arkansas Law says:

7-5-304 Opening and closing polls – Time

"The polls shall be opened at 7:30 a.m., and they shall remain open continuously until 7:30 p.m."

If one is standing in line at 7:30 p.m., they are not turned away and that is state law but to extend it an extra ninety minutes is yet another attempt to steal the election through manipulation of the law. This did not affect any other county. Weeks earlier, however, in Clark County, a Democratic judge excluded Republican student voters so that he or she could help a Democratic candidate. Finally, at 9:00 p.m. after Republicans protested the ruling in the Arkansas high court, it was overturned. Democrats, when approached, claimed they asked for the order because "they ran out of ballots in some precincts."

Despite their feeble attempts to steal the election, Republicans came out on top, winning majorities in both the House and the Senate. As is shown in the past, the loudest group to cry is often the guilty party of what they accuse. The media does a very good job of transferring the majority of voter fraud claims away from the Democrats and even burying it. With war looming over head, one must see that the best way to prevent a war is to be the most prepared for it. What kept the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. from annihilating one another during the Cold War was the fact that both nations were prepared to do so if need be. Way back in the Clinton administration, to divert attention from his impeachment, Clinton sent cruise missile strikes into Sudan and Afghanistan in claims of "terrorist activity." Among other places, he also attacked Iraq nearly repeatedly throughout the years. This only angered Saddam and Osama Bin Laden even more than they already were. Now George Bush has to clean up Clinton's mistakes and yet the blame falls on him. He is also trying to save the economy from the damage Clinton did to the economy but this is burying because people fail to realize that problems don't happen overnight and are usually years in the making. In fact, Clinton "cooked the books to make the deficit seem to disappear when in fact it was already getting worse."

With Republican victories in the House and the Senate as well as countless reports of voter fraud by the Democrats throughout the nation, one has to wonder who the good guys and the stronger group are. Apparently the Democrats aren't very good at voter fraud, to say the least, because of their defeat. With a close election year, regardless of the turnout, it makes you wonder how the results would be if there was no voter fraud. Would the Democrats have come close or would they have been brutally defeated? Until 2004, we can live in the comfort and safety that for the next two years. Congress is not controlled by cheating, sniveling, and petty crooks.

Colorado:

This was posted by a conservative on a forum.

October 21, 2002
This guy must be a Democrat.

An Arvada [Colorado] man filed suit in federal court challenging the constitutionality of Colorado's voter registration law after he missed the deadline for registering and learned he is ineligible to vote Nov. 5.

Gee, who would possibly think this was a major problem? Oh, wait:

Proponents of Amendment 30, which would allow residents to register and vote on election day, paid James Annibella's $150 filing fee in U.S. District Court in Denver on Thursday.

With all of the chances you get to register, what with motor-voter and all, how did this moron possibly miss the deadline?

"I am denied my right to vote because of some snafu in the law," Annibella said Thursday outside the court during a news conference by Yes On 30.

No, you aren't, sir. You are denied your right to vote because of a snafu in your idiotic life called "I don't have a clue".

"I couldn't believe it. It's very frustrating."

I'm sure it is quite frustrating to be a moron, but the law is the law.

Annibella became ineligible to vote after he moved a year ago from Denver to Arvada and failed to register under his new address before the deadline, which is 29 days before the election.

Residents can still register if they swear they did not know of the deadline, said civil rights lawyer David Lane, who donated his services to file the suit.

Annibella said he knew of the deadline but has been working 12 hours a day as a financial consultant and didn't have time to register.

Good God, man! When you pick up the change of address forms at the post office, they have a mail-in change of registration form right in the package! (I know...I've used it!) How much time could that possibly take you? In the privacy of your own home, even, and I think it's postage-paid.

What we have here is a failure of civic virtue. If you wanted to vote, you should have registered like everyone else.

Lane said Colorado's registration law violates Annibella's constitutional rights.

No, but his suit violates mine.

Dave Minshall, spokesman for Yes On 30, said 40 percent of people move between elections, and many, like Annibella, are not eligible to vote because they fail to register under their new address.

My heart bleeds. My wife didn't get to vote in our primary in May because she'd never changed her registration (even after living here for nearly two years). She accepted the responsibility and sent in a registration change, and now she'll be able to vote next month.

"It's unfair to keep some voters from voting because they didn't change their address by an outdated deadline," Minshall said.

What's outdated about it? It gives the election officials time to make sure that they have proper records at the polls on election day.

Six states that offer election-day registration have seen an increase in voter turnouts, he said.

And how much increase in vote fraud goes along with that?

Davidson and dozens of county clerks across the state oppose election-day registration because they say it would be costly to implement and invite voter fraud.

Well, duh. I'm not concerned about the cost as much as I am about the fraud aspect.

This suit needs to be dismissed out of hand, and with extreme predjudice. Frankly it smells like a big fat Democratic setup.

This information is over fours years old but I found it very revelant. An Excerpt:

"If the options for fraud are not adequately preempted by criminal sanctions, greater voter registration integrity efforts, or other steps, the public's confidence in the integrity of our free election system could be lost. Few issues strike so closely to the heart of our democracy as does the issue of maintaining fair and legitimate elections.".........

South Dakota:

Dead Men Voting
In Daschle's home state, fraud wanders off the reservation.

Wednesday, October 16, 2002 12:01 a.m. EDT

Today the Senate will approve and send to President Bush a landmark bill that will upgrade voting machines and begin to curb the voter fraud that is creeping into too many close elections. It can't come soon enough. Last week, a massive vote-fraud scandal broke out in a U.S. Senate race in Tom Daschle's home state of South Dakota that could determine control of that body.

The FBI and state authorities are investigating hundreds of possible cases of voter registration and absentee ballot fraud. Attorney General Mark Barnett, a Republican, says the probe centers on or near Indian reservations. "All of those counties are being flooded with new voters," says Adele Enright, the Democratic auditor of Dewey County. "We just got a huge envelope of 350 absentee ballot applications postmarked from the Sioux Falls office of the Democratic Party."

Steve Aberle, the Dewey County state's attorney, says many of the applications are in the same handwriting. At least one voter, Richard Maxon, says his signature was forged. Mr. Aberle, a Democrat with relatives in the Cheyenne River tribe, says many Native Americans have wanted little to do with "the white man's government." But this year many tribal elections have been scheduled for Nov. 5, the same day as the critical election for Democrat Tim Johnson's Senate seat. A Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee memo last month noted that the "party has been working closely with the Native population to register voters and Senator Johnson has set up campaign offices on every reservation."

More and more counties are uncovering fraud. Rapid City officials are investigating two brothers who may have forged registrations. Denise Red Horse of Ziebach County died Sept. 3 in a car crash. But both Ziebach and Dewey counties found separate absentee-ballot applications from her dated Sept. 21 in bundles of applications mailed from Democratic headquarters. Maka Duta, who worked for the Democratic Party collecting registrations in Ziebach, bought a county history book that contains many local names. Some are turning up in the pile of new registrations. At least nine absentee ballot requests have been returned by the post office. Mable Romero says she received a registration card for her three-year-old granddaughter, Ashley. Some voters claim to have been offered cash to register to vote. In both Dewey and Ziebach counties, the number of registered voters easily exceeds the number of residents over 18 counted by the 2000 census.
Renee Dross, an election clerk for Shannon County, says her office has received some 1,100 new voter registrations in a county with only 10,000 people. "Many were clearly signed by the same person," she says. Some registrants actually live in neighboring Nebraska. As in most states, South Dakotans are on an "honor system" and don't show photo ID to register or vote. Only the unprecedented flood of applications raised any suspicions.

State Democrats told the Christian Science Monitor they expect 10,000 new votes from the Indian reservations this year. In 1996, Sen. Johnson won by only 8,600 votes. Russell LaFountain, the director of Native Vote 2008, says his organizers are encouraging "strong absentee balloting." Pine Ridge Reservation residents told me that 11 workers are being paid $14 an hour to contact voters. The statewide Indian voter project is run by Brian Drapeaux and Rich Gordon, two former staffers for Sen. Daschle. Democratic officials say they've fired Ms. Duta and claim they were the first to bring the fraud to light. Ms. Enright, the Dewey County auditor, says that claim isn't true and is "pure spin."

Voter fraud isn't unknown on reservations. Democrats have often given out free tickets to Election Day picnics for voters on the Pine Ridge Reservation, where 63% of people live below the poverty level. In 1998, that prompted U.S. Attorney Karen Schreier, a Democrat, and Attorney General Barnett, a Republican, to write an unusual joint letter to county auditors noting that "simply offering to provide" food or gifts "in exchange for showing up to vote is clearly against the law." Amazingly, Kate Looby, the Democratic candidate for secretary of state this year, has criticized laws barring the holding of picnics for those who vote. She also wants to drop restrictions on absentee voting.

Making voting easy is desirable, but only if legitimate voters don't have their civil right cancelled out by those who shouldn't vote. In 1980, only about 5% of voters nationwide cast absentee or early ballots. Now nearly 20% do. "Absentee voting is the preferred choice of those who commit voter fraud," says Larry Sabato, a professor at the University of Virginia. He suggests media outlets set up "campaign corruption hotlines" and begin taking voter fraud seriously. The Miami Herald won a Pulitzer Prize in 1998 after its stories on how 56 absentee-ballot "vote brokers" forged ballots in a Miami election. The sitting mayor was removed from office.
In Texas, Democrat state Rep. Debra Danburg, who chairs the state House elections panel, has tried without success to reform absentee-ballot laws that are so loose she says they make "elderly voters a target group for fraud." Eric Mountain of the Dallas County district attorney's office says some campaigns have paid vote brokers $10 to $15 a ballot. Many seniors are visited at home and persuaded to have someone mark an absentee ballot for them. Others have absentee ballots stolen from their mailboxes.

The law Congress is passing addresses some of the problems the federal government created with the 1994 Motor Voter Law. Let's hope the latest scandal in South Dakota--uncovered only due to incredibly sloppy cheating--prompts states to examine their own absentee-ballot laws so they will stop being treated as an engraved invitation to fraud.

Poetic Justice
By John P Coussens

"The next error made headlines almost daily: voter fraud continued to be revealed in multiple states, and in no instance was the fraud perpetrated by anyone besides Democrats. This cheating showed up in Arkansas, Minnesota, South Dakota, Indiana and Iowa with such regularity that only an ostrich could have avoided hearing about it. The “win at any cost” mentality of the left had now quite visibly crossed the line from simply mounting legal challenges to outright cheating".......
