What does this do to the court decision now? Does it matter?

He is a PRACTICING Jew

What does he practice, exactly?

Would the phrase "under God" be offensive to a practicing Jew? Would it interfere with the right the Ninth Circuit said he has to determine the religious upbringing of his daughter?

I saw the interview last night. She has sole legal custody, they were never married, and the kid is a Christian. Does he really have legal standing for filing the suit?

Doesn't matter in the least bit - what doomed his case at the appeals level is the announcement by the mother that both her and her daughter are practicing Christians and specifically that his daughter is not harmed by reciting "under God" in the pledge.

The mother has stated her daughter not only recites the pledge willingly she also was upset at the prospect of having the pledge removed. In the fathers suit, he claimed his daughter was harmed by being "forced" to listen to the pledge in school - now that there appears to be no such harm, the suit has no merit and must be thrown out.

Don't get too excited though, i'm positive there is an atheist waiting in the wings with a brainwashed 7 year old who will claim to be harmed by the phrase.

>Newdow is NOT an athiest. He is a PRACTICING Jew according to his child's mother

He should stop practicing and be one.  He chooses to not be "UNDER GOD" and G-d will certainly honor his request.

The Atheist who brought suit against the Pledge of Allegiance in the classroom claiming the words “Under God” alienates his daughter, has in fact attempted to alienate his daughter from her Christian Community. His irresponsible lawsuit has more potential harm towards his daughter then the words “Under God” ever caused her.

He brought the suit under false pretences and should be responsible for all legal fees associated with this case and face jail time.

He should also be investigated for child abuse, it is clear to me he has abused his daughter by using her as a Political Football. It is obvious now he has abused his relationship with his daughter.

The man-Newdow -has had his 15 minutes of fame--which was his main goal. He had his mug on more TV shows than Allan Ginsburg (M. Lewinsky's lawyer).

The judges of the 9th Circuit Court make the term "kangaroo court" sound like a compliment.

Sorry I missed both interviews.

But couldn't perjury on his part be a reason the ruling is thrown out?

It seems to me that not enough attention is being focused on the learned (?) judges who were obviously flim-flammed. And who were/are the learned (?) attorneys opposing the father's case?

Were there no background checks or investigations ever conducted during this lengthy litigation? It appears everything the father stated and represented to the Court was false but was taken as gospel, if you pardon the expression.

Of course, this is California's Ninth Circuit we're talking about here. The pinko judges involved evidently couldn't wait to sink their fangs into this case, the truth be damned!

They should be unrobed, removed from the Bench and sent into exile for the rest of their unnatural lives.

Then why in the world would he describe himself as an Athiest?

So now we are truly seeing a custody battle gone terribly awry.

The radical LEFTISTS are dying for a "cause"...they are looking for attention...they are looking for a "way" to start the further erosion and inside descruction of the USA...he is nothing more than a LEFTIST working in cahoots with the "unknown sleeping" terrorists.

The "constitution testing" jerk is nothing more than a LEFTIST wanting an audience while he attacks this country's morals and traditions.

It's my prayer that the Supreme Ct. will hear an appeal on the 9th Circuit Ct. of Appeals' decision on the pledge, and will use that appeal as a means of wiping away all of the falactious decisions of other courts, the interpretations of the "wall of separation" that have grown up over the course of the last 40 years, and will reassert precisely what the frounders meant in the First Amendment. In other words, I'm praying that this decision -- which appears a setback now -- will blow up in Mr. Nienow's face.

I also pray for the woman (who I just learned was never married to this hateful man), and for the daughter. He's ruining their lives, and nobody in authority seems to be worried about that.

Well frankly, it doesn't really matter what he says he is. This man initially said that he brought this case because his daughter was being ridiculed for not saying the pledge. Then, when he got caught in a media firestorm, he said that it was for him, not his daughter and that he didn't want her to have to say it. Now we find out she wants to say it.

This guys is nothing short of a LIAR. And that's all I need to know about him.

If he were a practicing Jew, he would have no problem with the pledge.
Mr. Newdow is a liar who perpetrated a fraud. Unfortunately, his ex-girlfriend just hurt our case.
