He has called only once to say the baby is fine and with friends.(??????) Teacup, this sounds to me like a "normal" child custody situation, with both the mother and the father wanting the child. The fact that he called to say the baby is fine and with friends implies to ME that his mental state may not be as desperate as has been implied. It does nobody any good to paint the father as "armed, mentally unstable, and dangerous" unless that is truly the case. In fact,it can backfire and produce a dangerous situation where none now exists.
I'm asking you to think this over carefully before you post any more about the father's mental condition. Unless he has made physical threats it does more harm than good. I know you are emotional and scared now yourself, but so is he.

Thank you codebreaker for posting this. God be with teacup, her son, and even with the dad. My prayers are with the family.

According to what Mini Teacup said, this loser has already done this before (abducting the child)
In order to describe the situation properly a witness needs to know the father is on psychological medication and has a history of behavior that required it.
It reduces the danger to the people interacting with the abductor and the child.

Yes,I saw them. Thanks. The trouble is they are too small to get any attention. I/we need 8x10 photos to print-out and tape up in gas stations and places like that.

17 years ago in Aug., my ex-wife took my kids. Lets get this child back and then decide who is right or wrong. In my case it was me!

In order to describe the situation properly a witness needs to know the father is on psychological medication and has a history of behavior that required it. This had not been made plain when I made my post. Does he have a actual history of violent bahavior,or is he just a little "shakey"? It reduces the danger to the people interacting with the abductor and the child.
I know, but this can be a double-edged sword. We don't want people to think he is more dangerous than he actually is. The last thing any of us wants is somebody drawing down on him to make a citizens arrest, and making a bad situation worse. Let's all remember that he has this child with him,and that we all need to be careful for EVERYBODY's sake. If anybody sees him, notify the local police. If you see him away from his car and it is safe to do so,try to disable his car by sticking a knife in a tire,or something similiar. Then back off and wait for the police to appear.
