In order to describe the situation properly a witness needs to know the father is on psychological medication and has a history of behavior that required it.
It reduces the danger to the people interacting with the abductor and the child.
This had not been made plain when I made my post. Does he have a actual history of violent bahavior,or is he just a little "shakey"? It reduces the danger to the people interacting with the abductor and the child.
I know, but this can be a double-edged sword. We don't want people to think he is more dangerous than he actually is. The last thing any of us wants is somebody drawing down on him to make a citizens arrest, and making a bad situation worse. Let's all remember that he has this child with him,and that we all need to be careful for EVERYBODY's sake. If anybody sees him, notify the local police. If you see him away from his car and it is safe to do so,try to disable his car by sticking a knife in a tire,or something similiar. Then back off and wait for the police to appear.
